It's been years since I've come here. Today I remember why. I walked in. Placed my order for a Hot T. I was asked "with the works" and said no onions or pepperoncinis. The guy repeated it back correctly so I know he heard. Then they send you to the register to pay while they make it. It's a hot sandwich. But not really. I was surprised they just throw a few slices of turkey in the microwave. Nothing hot except dried out lunch meat. I got home and opened up my sandwich. Fast place, friendly staff but the sandwich was underwhelming. I ordered the mister pickle (half) - it's 3 pieces of chicken shy of being it's money worth, I dislike having multiple meatless bites. My wife and I have talked about stopping by and trying Mr. Pickle's for a long time. Well, we FINALLY did this past week! Immediately upon entering the store, we were welcomed by the crew of workers which was nice. The location is clean and also located right next door to a Starbucks (with a drive through...just sayin'). They have a pretty large selection to choose from which is nice. My wife tried their chicken salad sandwich which she was happy with. I ordered their hot pastrami and the only thing that I was not really fully satisfied with was the fact that when the young man asked me what I wanted on my sandwich, I asked for black olives and he stated that he was sorry, but that they didn't have black olives. That isn't necessarily a deal breaker, but it is definitely something I would encourage Mr. Pickle's to consider updating as far as condiments/toppings. The creation of our sandwiches was quite quick and there wasn't anything incorrectly done with our order...which in today's fast food life, it quite an accomplishment! This is an unfortunate review. I go here all the time and never have an issue. This time made me not want to return. I do online pick up every time and I pick up inside. I went inside, my order should have been ready, but I had to wait for my bag to be put together. The girls are always very pleasant. The male that was there (possible manager or owner), did say he would be right with me, as there were other ppl waiting. No problem. He packs up the orders nicely with tape. I thought it was mine, but it wasn't. My bad. He throws my sandwich in a bag and goes, "here Deniece," and throws it on the counter. That was very rude! He could have also packed my stuff up, because I had my baby with me in his car seat. I'm so annoyed and will not return again. read more

So after many visits to this location I have changed my opinion on the staff and definitely the owner Jay. The employees here are very friendly and they take the time to get to know you and what you order which is very nice, from what I can see Jay the owner is here every day making sure things are running smoothly and he has a great relationship with almost all the customers from what I have seen. Jay runs a tight ship and keeps his restaurant very clean, his employees stay on top of everything and use their time wisely always greeting every customer as they walk in the door and helping everyone understand the large menu. I have to say as I have seen things change change for the better I come here almost everyday and I have no problem telling friends and family this is a good location for a good bite to eat. The outdoor seating is a really cool thing in this area cause you dont see that very often and it's good to have that option. Everyone I have brought here and anyone I have talked to about the food has said its amazing, they have catchy names for the food and that makes the experience just that much better. They have plenty of seating inside and a window bar seating area with lots of plugs for electronics along with USB plugs. That's great if you have work to catch up on or you just need to charge your phone. Something I would like to see added to this location is FREE WIFI. I think that's a great thing for all businesses to offer. All in all this is a great little business in lodi and they are gonna do very well. Jay is a great owner and everyone should stop by and meet him, he is super friendly and great with his employees, lodi is lucky to have him and I look forward to any upgrades he may do to this location.
