Stay away from the "avocado spread." It's a weird guacamole spread that hasn't been avocado in a long time. It tastes sour. Blech. Provolone cheese is good, but the cheddar tastes artificial. I like the bbq and vinegar Jimmy chips best. Jimmy peppers are medium spicy. They will also give you an entire big dill if you ask. You are a big dill. You deserve it. I like to see a quality pickle. Been ordering from Jimmy John's almost from Day 1. Usually get the VITO or it's Baby Brother, the Little John with salame, capacola (yuk), and Provolone. Do you think you can spare the salame? An original comes with 4 paper-thin slices of salame - so thin you can see right through them. I am not a fan of the 1 inch pile of meat on sandwiches, but at least put enough so I can taste it. There is no mechanism on the website to ask for extra. Won't order this online anymore - guess I have to go to the store and ask for a decent amount of salame. read more

I ordered a couple sandwiches for pick up today and well, they were definitely sandwiches... The bread on both was a soft white loaf; basically a neutral canvas with no real flavor to overpower the other ingredients. The different fillings in each were all incredibly mild in flavor. One had a splash of vinegar taste. The lettuce was crunchy with no flavor. The tomato had a touch of juiciness with a hint of flavor. A little bit of mayonnaise brought everything together and added a little flavorless moisture. It was like eating a nothing sandwich. I took a Covid test and bit into a jalapeno to make sure I still had my sense of taste and all is well with me personally. So, if you are looking for an unpretentious, incredibly basic and ordinary meal, this place will suffice. read more

I visited Jimmy John's on Sunday, 2/11/24, around 5 PM. I decided to order the giant #11 Country Club. It came with turkey, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I was able to customize the sandwich by also adding pickles and mustard. All in all, the sandwich was huge, filling, and tasty. The bread was soft and all of the ingredients tasted fresh. I truly enjoyed the quality of the sandwich. The customer service was fast and friendly. The inside of the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. It came with mayo, lettuce and tomatoes which also were fresh not soggy. Quite a long sandwich too for $7.99! I wanted s small side of potato salad but they don't offer that. I love Jimmy John's but the Lodi store simply doesn't get it at all. The concept they sell on their signs say "freaky fast" most jimmy johns are crazy fast. I just ordered that sat in the drive through for 15 minutes with only one car ahead of me. Pull up to the window and they didn't even have mine ready. Good eats but you better have a long time to wait. Buying a pig raising it butchering it and aging the meat then grow your own wheat and mill it to flower and make home made bread. You can do both steps faster than they can make a sandwich in their drive through. I won't be going back to this location and would recommend you skip it as well. read more

So I waited a week before heading into this new sandwich shop today. First impression- WOW, it is small! Second impression- Wow, it is crowded with people standing all over the place waiting for their sandwich(es). Ordering was simple albeit a tad slow. The making of the sandwich isn't brain surgery and they had 3-4 guys at a small 8-10' counter making the orders. It took forever!! Now when I say the place was crowded there was a table of two and one of four. It took 10-15 minutes to make my sando. When I got home and opened it up I was unimpressed. Meat hanging out of the roll. I opened it up to see below average amount of shredded lettuce and un-ripe green tomatoes. I picked those off. I took one bit and thought, "this is all bread." So I cut off the bottom of the roll and ate it open face style. The sando tasted fine but had a poor meat to roll ratio. And for $9.50 I thought it was highly overpriced. And that was only the sandwich. No soda, no chips, no cookie. I'll continue to go down the block to Mr. Pickles where I can get 2 to 3 times the amount of meat, more produce, a better roll, and a FREE cookie. read more

If I was just judging on Food, the score would be higher. I had the double roast beef. The roast beef was excellent. The bread, while not excellent was fairly good. Their chips I did not like at all. When you walk in, they are friendly. They prepared the food quickly. However, I cannot rate them high on service for other reasons. They have a policy of not putting mustard on. They make the customer do it. People do not pay nearly $15 to complete the preparation themselves. The local management should value their customers enough that they would do this when asked. Just in the brief time I was there, three people asked, The selection of condiments and veggies is just extremely limited. It makes no sense. And the company does not heat the sandwiches. I think that's silly, but if it were not for the other things I'd be okay with that. All in all, more is expected for the price being charged. read more

I order a sandwich that doesn't say on the menu that Mayo is on it, yet for the last 3 times Mayo has been put on very heavy, to the point it soaks the bread and in my opinion ruins the sandwich. In fact I only ate about half of the sandwich I bought today because of the heavy Mayo. I double checked my order to make sure I Omitted Mayo. Ordered 3 sandwiches on a Saturday for pickup. When I entered the restaurant it was packed, and none of the employees were properly wearing their masks. All of them were down around their chin or hanging off their ears. I emailed corporate to complain and received a call from the owner of the Lodi location. First timer ! Hubby had the Gargantuan, I had the #12 turkey Provalone avocado. Both good. The chocolate chunk cookies are made with ghirardelli chocolate. Hubby enjoyed the chips, too.
