Panera always gives me mixed feelings. The food seems thrown together very sloppily and on cafeteria dishes. I think presentation is very important. But the food is always great and the price is reasonable - so I always leave with a good feeling. This visit I ordered the Bread bowl of french onion soup - I received a bowl of french onion soup - Oh well, I guess I didn't really need a bread bowl. lol The soup was good and so was the baquette too. It's nice to choose the different sections depending on what you feel like that day. Maybe its a day by the fireplace or give me a booth in the middle away from everyone (secluded a bit). read more

I've been coming to this location for years now and i've always had my orders right and my food has always been good (besides under cooked baguettes sometimes). Tonight we went through the drive-thru, I got a whole Bacon Turkey Bravo and a half chicken Caesar salad, my girlfriend got the pick two with the turkey avocado blt and broccoli cheddar soup with a peach and blueberry smoothie. All of our food was excellent tonight as always and the service was fast. Just so this is clear, this review is for the Florence, KY Panera specifically. I love Panera, but I refuse to go back to this location. It used to be great, but recently has taken a turn for the worse. It is never clean, the staff typically has no idea what they're doing, and they haven't gotten an order of mine correct in the last 5-10 times I've gone. I've gone in for breakfast and ordered a simple bagel with cream cheese for myself and a bagel sandwich for my husband. We waited for 20 minutes....and I finally had to ask someone where our food was. Turns out they never started to make it. Went in for lunch a few days ago and ordered a chicken salad sandwich with chips. Attached is the picture of what that plate looked like. There was barely ANY chicken salad on the sandwich. I went back up to the counter to ask if I could have a small side of some more chicken salad because there wasn't much on the sandwich at all (I proceeded to show the employee what I had received). She told me that what I received was the correct portion size and that the bread was just big....what? I go to plenty of other Panera locations, and have NEVER received a sandwich that looks like this. You pay around $8 for these sandwiches....for it to look like that? Don't think so. Not to mention the questionable green veggie attached to my pickle. I didn't bother eating that. This place is pretty cool! When you walk in you will see a bunch of people on computers tablets, I even saw a guy with a printer/fax set up lol. Totally awesome! I can see myself coming here to work on my stand up writing and manage my online content. On to the food, it's was A-MAY-ZING!!! I had a chicken bacon avocado sandwich oh man it was so good. A little hard to keep together but that's fine, it didn't last long lol! The service was very speedy and efficient and was please to see such a selection of non pop drinks. Maybe it's the Gods playing tricks on me, but my last three visits have been ridiculous. Why I'm giving this place chance after chance can be described in two words: Broccoli Cheddar. I used to be a fan of this place, but since the company changed the menu a while back and went for the ~Clean Eating~ fad their selections of sandwiches just haven't been that good. They got rid of the two sandwiches of theirs I liked, so I'm generally not motivated to come in. Their bagels and breads are still very good and worth getting, but if you place an online order, there's a good chance your order will be wrong. Every time I place on online order, I'm missing anywhere between 3 and 6 bagels. Getting the missing items replaced is a pain in the butt and a half, too. The last time this happened (I was missing 5 bagels out of an 18 bagel order), I called the restaurant and they said they'd make a note of it and to come in the next day. I came in the next day with my receipt and the cashier said they didn't see any notes left about my call, but I could come back the next day and pick up the replacement bagels. I let them know that wouldn't work for me (I have too much crap to do!), and the cashier offered to pay for a lunch for me (but apparently a lunch of 5 bagels wasn't on the table). I did get a partial refund (of 6 bagels, which was nice), but it was still an ordeal. I know this is most likely corporate's policy and not the individual restaurant's, but it's still off putting enough that I'd rather get the lesser Kroger bagels to avoid the hassle. Aside from whoever at this location keeps screwing up the online orders, most of my dissatisfaction with Panera comes from corporate's policies and decisions, not with this individual restaurant, but their food isn't so great that I want to deal corporate-borne tomfoolery. read more

I very rarely write a bad review but there was nothing that went right with my order. 45.00 for a couple of bowls of soup and 1/2 sandwichs..which if edible could of been justified. When dealing with Panera I find that employees are ALWAYS subpar in regards to competence and behavior, but the product is decent even if over priced. However, I do not believe that is beyond the realm of possibility to expect a beverage to be iced if specified or likewise hot if specified. I specifically said I wanted and iced beverage and once again, the employees of this company show a CONSISTENT inability to follow the most mundane/simple instructions. Panera in Florence on Houston road should be closed and sold to a better operator. I stopped by over the Memorial Day weekend and was thoroughly disgusted. The place was out of control. Not a single bagel for sale and was told bagels wouldn't be available until Wednesday...I was there Saturday! Only 2 muffins available for sale. The cashier said I couldn't order soup until after 11 am. It was 10:55!! I had to go through the long line twice. By the way, the soup was on display. This store should be closed. This was one of the worst Panera experiences I've had. They had only 3 soup choices, even though 7-8 were listed on their menu. Chose the whole strawberry salad instead. Two of the five cashiers were brand new and at registers next to each other with no supervision at lunch on Saturday. Our cashier had to walk to the back of the store to get support while taking order. At one point she was wondering around trying to find someone to help as the employees in back were hysterically laughing and goofing around. It took more than 10 minutes to place an order for two people. It's a large location with only a few people at tables. We chose one of the two tables which were clean. Remember, the staff was in the back having a big party. We received our order, and it was not correct. We were refunded for half of the strawberry salad, but the lettuce was so bad that it was inedible. When we left, tables were still uncleaned. We will NOT return to this location. read more

Food quality is very poor. Ordered oatmeal which usually is prepared with fresh strawberries. They were out. Served with blueberries so sour couldn't eat them. They offered to replace or refund. I asked for a bacon turkey sandwich with bacon so old brittle and skimpy. Removed the bacon and the rest of the sandwich was just barely edible. Two people behind the prep station. Free Wi-fi is one my main focal point of going to Panera. The atmosphere is also a quaint place to hang out. Wi-fi does help me come here often. The food is ok. When I have monthly store meetings. I like to order here. Here is my traditional monthly order. 12 bagels 13th free, usually plain bagels sometime a few blueberry or cinnamon surgared with 2 tubs of plain cream cheese. Panera as a whole is a 4 star for me. I like the numerous healthy options here and the general ambiance, local feel, and friendly workers always is appealing to me. This particular location... there is just something off... it's not always convenient to get to even though it seems close to where you are. The food presentation always seems rushed and less presentable than other paneras in the area. The layout and table availability don't seem as nice as other paneras as well. I went into Panera bread this evening. I was very disappointed. I saw flies around the open bakery area, and very disappointed with the cleanliness of the tables. I had to wipe down my seat and table before sitting down to eat. When I was ready to eat the half of tuna sandwich, I opened it up and there was a very small amount of tuna on it. I used my spoon to scrape the tuna into a very tiny scoop. See picture below. It is questionable as to whether I would go back there or not. The wait for a coffee beverage is sooooooo long but it's still one of the better options around.

This place was a little chaotic. There was (1) OJ and no Greek yogurt. They had to make it. The Greek yogurt was really tart, either sour or just plain tart. My daughter refused to eat it. The employees seemed stressed and/or unorganized. They weren't very helpful to the customer, guidance and direction would help things run a little smoother. Also, assisting customers in order is helpful. This allows them to eat with their family rather than waiting for a latter for 5-10 minutes. Lunch is usually good, but I'll avoid the breakfast scene here!! Panera takes it too far when a somewhat disabled girl asked for drink carrier and was told they were over by the coffee! Come on!! I've been to this establishment several times before and have never had a problem. Tonight is another story... I don't know what happened but the service was lacking and the food was disappointing for the most part. None of the staff acknowledged us when we walked to to order. The Chipotle chicken looked great, until I got my order. The sandwich was thrown together making it difficult to eat. It had a huge chunk of avocado on it, not cut up, which kept falling out of the sandwich. The baguette was burnt and harder than normal. The only saving grace for this meal was the broccoli cheese soup and my company. I don't know what happened to this place, but I won't be back for awhile.... read more

Stopped to pick up a bagel pack for a meeting at 9:00 am. Ordered the bagels from the limited selection that was available. I was accepting of thay and was told to "pick from what was on the wall", which I did. When they went to pull my order I was told they were out of several of my selections because they had a call in order from earlier they needed to fill. They only had 3 bagel types to choose from. How do you run out of bagels at 9:00 am on a Friday? There was also another customer very upset that had waited for his wrap for 10 mins. The store was not even busy. When the customer express his dissatisfaction, he was told "Sir, its only been 9 min and 30 seconds since you ordered. The kitchen has 10 mins to prep the order". His order wasn't even started.
