Service was great, food was good, and prices were decent. I enjoyed my club sandwich but I would have enjoyed it way more if it wasn't so dry, it came with mayo and honey mustard but still managed to be very dry which was disappointing. I was craving a club sandwich so off to McCalisters I went! It was a super busy Sunday during the daytime and the staff was working hard to make sure the tables were clean - big points for that during a busy shift. I ordered the king club which was HUGE. Definitely enough food to split. I also decided on a bread bowl with cheddar broccoli. I think next time I would opt just for a cup of soup with a side of bread bc the bowl was a lot of bread. Attending Riverfest we we approached by a couple promoting McAlister's and they gave us two passes for two free meals. I reluctantly accepted them thinking there must be something else to this deal. Maybe you receive two free meals after spending $100.00 or something like that. I would later be surprised to find out we received two complete free meals, dessert and great tea for free. I really like the option of two smaller menu choices as I wanted a sandwich and a loaded potato. There are so many different choices to choose from as you will see many one of a kind combinations. Food was great and it came out fast. Mostly upset that I had gotten up to go to the bathroom and had left two drinks and sunglasses on the table. By the time I had gotten back, both drinks were dumped out and my sunglasses were gone as they were cleaning the table. I was gone for less than five minutes. The most frustrating part is that I had gotten a coffee from Starbucks next door and that drink was dumped also. This was a little gem that was hiding in the Crestview Hills center right there in plain sight. They have a huge menu particularly on the sandwich side. Hopefully over the coming years I'll bring you a good bit of their offerings and let's start with the first... Horseradish Roast Beef And Cheddar Mac And Cheese Limeade What Is It: The sandwich comes with black Angus roast beef, sharp cheddar cheese, caramelized onions (which I left off), and of course horseradish. The sandwiches come with a pickle and a side which I got mac and cheese. I got limeade because I wanted limeade. Presentation: Well they went with the smallish items on the huge, square, white plate approach. On one hand it makes things look tiny on the other hand there's plenty of room for everything. Probably better that way. 6 out of 10 Taste/ Final Analysis: The beef was very well flavoured on it's own which is very important. The ciabatta bread worked well for this as did the delicious sharp cheddar cheese. I wish they would have put more horseradish on it although I acknowledge that may be my crazy, slicy taste buds talking. Still considering they titled the sandwich after horseradish I think they were very light handed with it. The mac and cheese was pretty stock and boring as was the limeade. They're always nice when I order or pickup. Even when I door dash they're quite nice. The food is delicious and worth the price. It's not super expensive either, you pay a fair amount of money for great food. It's a cute place and would be wonderful to have family time, friends hanging out, or even a date. Ugh. Tried to give McAllisters another chance. Put in a carry out order of the horseradish cheddar roast beef sandwich. Got home and started to eat it and found it full of raw sliced red onions! What??? It clearly states on the menu the onions are GRILLED. I've had issues the past three times I've been there with food being prepared incorrectly and with lousy customer service. I sure hope they get things turned around, as it has been our go to restaurant for years. Management: please step it up and read these reviews! read more

We wanted something fresh after having greasy food all day. After reading all the posts on yelp, we decided to order through the DoorDash app. We ordered a few of the two item specials including the club sandwich, chicken Caesar salad along with the French dip. Everything tasted FRESH and have no complaints. We really enjoyed the various soups. We tried the broccoli cheddar soup and the potato soup and both had good flavor. We also like the fact that they added a pickle spear to each sandwich. I would recommend this place and would order from them again if we are in the area. read more

I guess I have eaten at delis all over the US and some foreign. McAllister's deli is a national chain which means the food is consistent. It is. The deli club is very good and on par with any quality deli. I get it often and can recommend it. Service has always been polite and timely. I like the salads as well. You will not be disappointed with McAllister's deli. One footnote: Every time I go to NYC I never miss a trip to KATZ Deli as they are the gold standard. I stick to my original review...you must hit it early at lunchtime. But, I had a great Southwestern chicken salad there recently! Don't know if it was the spicy seasoning on the chicken strips or the salad dressing (kind of a spiced up Thousand Island), but it was very tasty and just the correct amount of hot! Only thing that was a little weird is that they seemed a little understaffed for lunch time because they only had one register open and the lady running it seemed to be doing a lot of other stuff. Went there on Sunday, 5/24/2015. We were promptly greeted and waited on by a cheerful and patient young woman. Patient, because I changed my mind a couple of times. We were given a buzzer, however a kind fellow delivered our food to our table. I ordered the veggie potato. It was excellent. My companion ordered the veggie soup which had a little too much barley. We also had the entree veggie salad which was excellent, only problem when I raised it up to put it in a to go bowl, there was a piece of hair stuck on the dish under the lettuce. Yuck, I'm still hoping I didn't eat some other pieces. But who knows what icky stuff we unknowingly eat on a daily basis. My companion had a dirty knife and I had a dirty fork, thankfully we had extra ones. My belly is full and my lemonade was very good. read more

Placed an online order and got there right when it said my food would be done. Went in and stood in the normal ordering line and realized there was the TO GO area. Stepped into that area, where every front employee ignored me for 10 minutes. Then I politely asked a girl walking by if I was in the wrong area and if I need to go somewhere else. She replied very rudely asking my name with an eye roll. She got my food with half heartedly saying thanks. Always enjoyed the food here and I too have worked in the food industry, just a simple acknowledgement would make me want to come back. I will order my sandwiches elsewhere. read more

This is for the new Dent Ohio location on Harrison avenue...I have a few complaints.didnt know it was counter serve.I couldn''t call in order and had to go in.The online ordering is not same pricing and availability as that location's in person ordering.I ordered king club,they had no cranberry orange sauce or cherry honey mustard & charged for regular honey mustard AND Mayo . Online it says you get a snack side(chips,sunchips,doritos or cheetos and a regular side. They charge for cheetos/chips! Portion size is skimpy for pricing,sorry. My mac and cheese was only half filled in an already small cup! I can get a dinner at frischs w 2 sides for price of a measly deli sandwich mostly bread! Very disappointed had high hopes since Panera is so expensive. My online order with side and cheetos and the cranberry orange sauce and cherry honey mustard was $10.11 total.. Inside it was $1.25 more for no cran orange sauce,cheetos,or cherry honey mustard,had to pay for the regular honey mustard AND MAYO that was supposed to be already on the sandwich! ! It wouldn't be so bad if i could have ordered online witohut using my credit card and just pay with cash when i arrive to pick it up. This used to be one of our office's favorite places for lunch but lately they have gone downhill. We use Door Dash a lot because we often can't get out for lunch. They have turned off Door Dash online ordering several times when have tried to order. Today, they turned it off on Door Dash but we were still able to order it on their website. We have have to pay extra fees to order that way but we were unable to leave the office so we did. We ordered 3 meals and one of those were forgotten. We called and were told that they would put us down for a free meal next time we came in but could not refund our money or bring us the meal. The manager didn't really seem to care that someone at our office would be going without lunch. Had they allowed us to order through Door Dash, they would have at least refunded our money. We will be taking our business elsewhere from now on. read more

I frequent this McAlister's as I work near it and almost always order via the app and pick it up on my way to or from work, occasionally I have had them forget tortillas with my tortilla soup or they didn't have a certain cookie I ordered in stock, but generally I've had success. Today I ordered a Caesar Salad and the picture below is the salad I got. I was seriously disappointed when I saw the quality of romaine in the salad, that I then of couldn't eat. Wilted, and obviously old, I'm wondering how someone putting my food together would think this was acceptable. ****THIS IS A DESSERT REVIEW ONLY 4.5 stars for dessert **** Man is it difficult to find a place around here that is known for a good dessert and a cup of coffee! Atmosphere 3 star at best - at night. This place is certainly NOT the atmosphere I was seeking for a somewhat intimate dessert experience but beggars can't be choosers. Almost searing bright fluorescent lights, bright white and kelly green ceramic tiles and formica galore. But, first and foremost we arrived for a good slab of dessert on a late(r) evening. Bad news - no decaf at 8:45p. Offered to make but passed. Wished I hadn't because the water w/ limestone and lemon slice was truly god awful - though I'm sure they make the java with it as well. So that's most of the not so great. On to the better... I was craving a killer slice of cheesecake - and the cashier (no waitstaff) had no clue if desserts were made onsite. The kitchen preppers informed us they were not - as everything appears to be made or broken down offsite, plated and plastic wrapped and shipped to store. Oh well - would have been nice to know if was Carnegie Deli sourced - which is what I craved. The so much better half ordered Carrot Cake and I the Cheesecake. Her carrot cake was absolutely extraordinary. Schnikies I wish I had gotten that!! Moist, heavy - tons of carrot, nuts and spice - killer cream cheese frosting. Delish and nearly large enough to share - though she really didn't want to... My cheesecake - you could ALMOST have sold me that it came from Carnegie's. Darn good imposter. Would have been smashing w/ a hot cuppa joe. Overall - the dessert was a steal at about $4 each and worth what I'd normally pay at a fine dining, linen tablecloth establishment $6-8 each. read more

Very disappointed in the changes here. The potion sizes are smaller but the prices are the same. I get the chicken tortilla soup which has always come with several tortilla chips on the side. However, after numerous visits to this regional chain of sandwich shops since its opening in Crestview Hills, I've realized that the slow-service is never going to improve. The last few times I've eaten there our sandwiches have taken at least twenty minutes (these are cold cut sandwiches, let me remind you) and once or twice over twenty. In McAlister's defense, the restaurant is teeming with people at lunch time, but I tend to think the problem rests with their inefficient delivery system. When you place your order, you get a numbered placard that you put on your table so that the server can locate you. Yet, most of the time servers wonder around unsuccessfully searching for folks, then orders start to back-up. If you do go there (not during your lunch hour, trust me), try the Sweetberry Chicken or Turkey Melt, as both are pretty good. And I've also enjoyed their potato salad. read more

Ate here late on a Sunday after flying into CVG and while most of the restaurant was closed for seating, generally its an open space with plenty of room. The have a large menu that allows substitutions to fit any taste. They also offer nutritional information which was great! I had half a Spicy Southwest Chicken Griller and half of the Savannah Chopped Salad. Both were larger portions than expected for being half servings and for the nutritional information. Both were also very tasty. I would definitely come back for a quick but hearty meal when I want something fast. read more

Being a sandwhich fanatic, these bread hugged goodies fit the bill. Reasonably fresh ingredients, bread selection, personalize it or throw it on the grill. The soups are good, but being a soup maker I find the typical issues with any restaurant soup - salty and made with frozen veggies, but for sandwhich dippin' these do just fine.
