we went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and had a wonderful experience. They have remodeled it looks much more up-to-date and fresh. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostess and before we sat down our waitress asked what we would like to drink. My husband had the breakfast bar, everything was freshly prepared and well stocked. He enjoyed the variety of meats such as Guetta bacon and sausage, biscuits and gravy as well as pancakes and fresh fruit. He said his food was delicious. I had a bacon egg and cheese toast breakfast sandwich which was wonderful! It had a lot of bacon on it and was freshly prepared and delicious. I was given an entire carafe of coffee just for myself as my husband doesn't drink it which was a nice touch. We had a very good meal and Frisches at this location didn't disappoin! I ordered online and picked it up at the drive thru window. The young lady at the window was nice but the food left a lot to be desired. The onion rings were soft and not crispy like they used to be. The fish was good but the bun fell apart half way through. The cole slaw isn't like it used to be. It had larger pieces of cabbage and the taste wasn't as good as the past. Frisch's food has gone downhill in the last 20 years. It's no wonder they have shut down some restaurants and frankly if this is now the quality they need to shut down all of them. Darn shame. I was a little hesitant when I saw how busy it was, but Betty Jo greeted me immediately despite that. I was seated in a comfortable booth. She took my drink order (vanilla Coke) and left me with the menu to peruse. When she returned with my drink, she asked my name. That's such a nice touch and something that rarely happens anymore. She has called me Kirk every time she's swung by the table. She also made sure that my order was absolutely correct. This is not her first day, you can tell. (Actually, she informed me she's been doing this for 13 years. She's definitely a pro.) I told her I might be interested in dessert; she brought me the check with the caveat that she could add dessert anytime. But my favorite touch is that attached to the bill is a post-it note that says "Shine Your Light." The food was good and hot. Oh, Frisch's in Bellevue has a lot of work to do. No one greeted me when I walked in. After waiting a while, I saw an employee preparing the Wednesday buffet bar. I seated myself because the employee was of no help. No waitress came by so I got up and asked for help. Decided to do the buffet. Finally, after sitting down again a waitress came to the table and asked if I wanted something to drink. Just a coke, please. She came back and splashed the over-filled glass' contents onto the table. Didn't bother to wipe the table. I would say the glass was 80% filled with ice. Shocked that it cost $3.79, mainly for a glass of ice. I had asked for a coke. Anyway, the food was bland. Had to wait at the checkout, took a while. Excellent service by Betty Jo! We were seated promptly, and she was very kind. She seemed to have a lot of tables, but she was hustling! She made sure our drinks were refilled, and she left a kind note on our receipt. The food was also very good. The pancakes were very buttery and well-sized. This Frisch's is a good location during the weekdays and hitting the drive through. However on the weekends during breakfast it gets a little hectic. The host stand will be unattended for extended periods of time, and the wait times are long. Typically your best bet is the breakfast bar on the weekends. read more

Soooooo disappointed!!! most of the area Frisch's restaurants closed in Cincinnati and Kentucky areas. I was over in Kentucky found a Bellevue location and ordered my beloved club chicken sandwich combo and a cup of chili. Cost 19 bucks. since they close so many locations the quality of their food has deteriorated. the cup of chili was more like 6 oz. the chicken club was no longer a breaded filet but a processed piece of chicken man-made chicken patty. Thin and tasteless. along with the fact that the price of everything was higher I will never go to Frisch's again, since precious is no longer "Frisch's". the service was still great though. read more

We were confused. It was around 6:00 pm. As soon as we started serving ourselves, we understood. The eggs, home fries, grits, tiny pancakes, rock hard goetta, bacon,sausage etc...I can't go on. Worst restaurant food ever! Two waitresses...no food was replaced. I could not bring myself to complain! How could they NOT KNOW. FRISCHS has been sliding downhill for an extend time. Had the worst experience i've ever had at probably any restaurant. We went on a Sunday morning so a wait on tables/food is expected. We ordered our food and from the start our waitress was rude and unhelpful, we waited for an hour and 15 minutes and she brought out three wrong plates over the course of that time. We weren't about to wait on our check so we went up to pay for our food and the waitress lied saying we refused the food when we refused because it was all wrong. Frisch's is a Cincinnati tradition. Dip your fries in the signature tartar sauce for a burst of flavor! The salad bar is great. The breakfast bar is an affordable alternative to going somewhere fancy when you need some breakfast variety. Vanilla Coke is made with real vanilla. I even like the chili spaghetti. Family diner food is the best way to describe Frisch's. Some people I know enjoy the liver and onions. Great service! The food was hot and correct, it was a last minute decision to stop by the drive through and it was worth it.

We ate at the one in bellevue and the guy who has glasses who works the buffet bar is rude as hell when I asked if they was going to put more grits, biscuits, gravy, and potatoes out on the bar. It took them 45 minutes to replace any food on the breakfast bar. I told the manager that the melted cheese was all runny and she said it would be replaced and it never was. The 4 stars is for the service we had last Saturday night! We had just left another local sports wings bar were we had horrible service and never got our food. It's Frisch's, so nothing to write home about, really. But this one is clean and friendly. The food is, well, Frisch's standard fare. But it'll do in a pinch. I'm living temporarily on the riverfront and this place is convenient, if nothing else. Today (which is my 3rd or 4th visit, but first check-in and review), I had the all you can eat soup and salad bar. The vegetable soup was outstanding and they promise me it's made from scratch, not out of a can. I got up to go to the salad bar one time and someone cleaned my table for me before I got back to sit down. I had to order a new drink and silverware. But it was all good. Wow ... first of all, I've never been impressed with Frisch's. I think it's one of those Midwest things where nostalgia overrides tastebuds. But this particular Frisch's must be the most depressing place in the area. Very few customers and those that were there looked like something out of "Shawn of the Dead" meets "Trainspotting". The Big Boy burger itself reminds me of a high school cafeteria burger with tartar sauce. The fries are nondescript and the salad bar is ... well, bare to say the least. I grew up in this area, and at times, there is nothing better than a Big Boy, a Patty Melt or a Swiss Miss. But, this is not my normal Frisch's location--and boy howdy, is it lacking. The building itself has been updated, it's an easy location to get to and my food was fine--once I actually got seated and waited on, but that doesn't change the fact that this location has, quite possibly, the most uneducated, unmotivated, unhygenic staff in all of Northern Kentucky. Note: my server was fine--I had to ask for her help since the counter was completely unmanned--it wasn't her area, but she was efficient and nice--all I'm asking for on my lunch hour. I walked in to the restaurant to a wait to be seated sign. Not a problem usually, but noone came. When the hostess finally did come, I was behind two women (well, one was, the other was rather young) with 5 children between them. It became readily apparent that the younger of the two is/was an employee of this location, and brought in her infant for a visit. The hostess asked them where they'd like to sit (?) and out came the seating chart, a long debate, a telephone call taken by the young mother who I'll call Snooki for her rockstar sunglasses, hair and short-shorts). Still no decision on the seat, but much gum chewing, children pulling each other's hair, and more hem hawing about where to sit, I got sick of being ignored and chose the counter. While I waited MORE at the counter for someone to notice me, the young mother took her infant to the cash register to see a employee who was, by all accounts, still on the clock. She sat the baby on the counter, and then the woman behind the counter picked up the infant and took her into the food prep area. Look--I'm a mother, and as much as I think babies are adorable, they are also germ factories and it's just not cool to take a baby into the area where customers food is being prepared, not to mention, unsafe. My other favorite part was when she told an elderly man (a regular) with a cane who was trying to pay his bill, that she was "off" and someone else would have to take him, when she swooped up the baby and disappeared. As if this young mother really WAS Snooki, all of the servers save a few older gals working diligently (to pay bills, no doubt) fawned over her and chatted her up and left countless tables unattended. I finally had to ask someone to take my order, ate quickly and got the hell out of there. I guess it's what I'd expect for that part of Bellevue...I won't be back, but if you choose to go, make sure it's your day off and that you have ample time to watch the sights, if that's your thing. read more
