Izzy Burger

Got an Izzy Burger for take out. It was decent enough. Came with Grippo's BBQ chips... you choose a side. The service was fine. Pretty quick service. All burgers made to order so expect 8 to 10 minutes wait. Only issue is the price is a bit high in my opinion. There's better burgers out there for $15.

My first, but not last, time at Izzy's was such a treat. I did not realize that it was a place with table service as well as a drive thru. I had the turkey rueben and potato pancake - plus those yummy pickles at the table! I loved it. The potato pancake as huge and just beyond wow, even it it was a teeny bit greasy. I have to go back for the matzo ball soup.

I miss izzys in Anderson. Had a corned beef and swiss with a bowl of matzoh ball soup. Good as usual. Prices aren't cheapest, but they didn't raise prices as much as others. To go turkey reuben had the wrong bread on it when i got home to my wife.

Beef and barely soup

Better than expected. My true rating for this place is 4.5. The soup was alright. The goetta Reuben was amazing. The potato pancake was also great, but would have benefitted being hotter. Especially since we dined in and it wasn't overly busy. Service was top notch, and they gave us a to go lemonade for free.

Had a very great dinner this Monday evening here! I haven't been to this location in awhile and will definitely be running. It was a very relaxing, cozy feeling walking in. We were immediately greeted by our wonderful server Eboni who stated we could choose our table. Haven't being here in years their menu has changed and everything sounded wonderful. My dad started with the beef soup which he finished with satisfaction. He said it was a very great combo of flavor and would be ordering it again. I got the sweet and sour cabbage soup- also highly recommend. I was a dark soup but the cabbage was cooked perfectly, only thing is it could have had more cabbage to broth ratio. Also maybe adding some onions or another veggie. He then ordered a roast beef sandwich with coleslaw on the side. You can get it cooked/grilled or regular. He got it cold and loved it. I went with a salad and a side of turkey. The salad was very fresh and crunchy- along with super fresh turkey. We shared a slice of carrot cake and cream cheese icing (maybe- I'm assuming). It was very good along with the oatmeal raisin cookie and chocolate chip cookie. Total came out to $58 which seemed like a good price for the amount of food we got. We also got a Rueben with a potato cake and beef soup to go. Eboni was so friendly, knowledgeable about the menu with amazing recommendations. She was always smiling and prompt with refills, as well as very sweet to her other tables. Needless to say we will be returning sooner than later!

One of my favorite places! The rueben was perfectly prepared. And the potato pancake was exceptional... tender and crispy. Always dependable great food, along with impeccable service. And, all Covid safety measures were met.

The food was good and the service was quick. When I go back to Cincinnati, I will definitely stop in for lunch again.

Great service and great food. The beef barley soup is a must! The generous bowl of pickles you get when you sit down is an extra treat.

Good Rueben sandwiches! Like their pickles and the crispy golden, chrunchy potatoes are really a star on that menu!

Definitely not the over stuffed sandwiches they used to make. Grew up on Izzy's, now it's just a disappointment.

Only thing is I wish they could make it gluten free. I got the Mira bowl in a kid size portion and had boiled eggs as an add on. Perfect portion! The bartender recommended the smaller size since I was getting waffles and I'm glad she made that suggestion. Lavender latte with oatmilk was light and delicate. Just what I was looking for. Nothing was too sweet and I enjoyed everything. The inside had a nice airy feel to it. They have a cute little kids corner filled with books and fun stuff for the little ones to stay busy while waiting on meals. They close at 3 so I recommend enjoying it for brunch/lunch!

Being visitor from VA Beach, I asked what's the recommended dish, the server suggested omelette. But I wasn't in the mood for omelette so I saw shakshuka. I tried their Green Goddess version that has spinach (instead of tomato sauce) and feta. The food is a solid 3. I also ordered the Dubai Chocolate latte. It was a 3 as you taste more the milk than the chocolate syrup. I also got their chocolate chip banana bread.

For my main dish I got the build your feast with the salmon, Mediterranean salad and red potatoes. It was so delicious. The salmon was grilled and had a char that I loved. The salad was bright and colorful with a vinaigrette dressing on the side. The red potatoes were great as well. I was too full for dessert. But the baklava looked great. This was my first time here and I was impressed. I'll definitely be back.

(This native Southerner knows that Birmingham's got a bigger Middle Eastern community than you'd probably imagine.) There's no getting around it: Cincinnati has a serious shortage of relatively nutritious, reasonably priced, decent dining options. On those scores, Taziki's rings it up pretty good. The wife and I love Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food, and Taziki does a nice job with a generic Americanized version of it. Fresh salads, nice thick lemony hummus, pretty okay grilled meats, solid pita sandwiches. Not only tasty, but mostly pretty healthy eating as well. If you're familiar with these cuisines, it's not nearly the best you've had (and the limited sides are quite disappointing) but it's not at all bad, either. Service when we do go (usually lunch on weekends) has always been very fast. The staff is efficient and pleasant. Atmosphere and music are kinda bland, but it's agreeable enough, and the dining area seems spic-and-span. And the prices are reasonable (and when you find the Clipp Magazine coupons, like a pre-inflationary-era steal).

I had heard that their pop-up dinners sell out very quickly so I was ready the day they were posted and grabbed a few spots for one of their February dates. We arrived and were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and then we found a seat at the long community table set for 20; it was so much fun getting to know the people seated next to us! Dinner was delicious! Four courses-the gnocchi with sausage was our favorite dish of the night.

We live in West Chester and have driven down to there a few times just to pick up delicious dinners. We just attended our first dinner there last Tuesday. Oh My Goodness! What a treat. Jordan greeted us with a glass of Prosecco and directed us where to sit a long table that seats 20. We introduced ourselves to our seatmates and then our first dish arrived. Chef does explain the food before we had each dish, however we wished there was more background and history as to how this place came into being. So expect fantastic food without a lot of details. The first dish was a salad made with all local ingredients. It was so fresh and the dressing made with fresh dill was fantastic. The second dish was a ravioli with northern Italian cheese on a bed of butternut squash puree and brown butter. The pasta was SO delicate and the flavors complimented each other so well. The third dish was a 6 hour braised pork shoulder with ricotta gnocchi in a sauce with Calabrian chilis and I don't know what else. We have been to Italy and all the Italian restaurants in Cincinnati and never had anything like this. It was truly phenomenal. Dessert was a apple upside down cake served warm with whipped cream...fantastic. You bring your own wine, and Jordan is on it by never letting your glass get empty, pouring water, and clearing dishes. Service was so great and she is so friendly and accommodating. The cost was a very reasonable $100/pp and SO worth it. There is no menu, so you go in just devouring what Chef has prepared.
