The one is Newport is awful. We were told we had to wait 20 min before someone could take our order because of catering even though line was to do. Asked if they could take order and then wait on food so we could sit and was told no. Ask for parking validation as advertised on door and got a huge sigh and attitude. The sandwich was barely warmed with half a slice of cheese and some cheese sprinkles .

Wife and I made the 40 min drive to eat here again because their food is SO good! We went on Labor Day weekend and they literally had a line to the door which speaks for itself. Even as busy as they were, their service was top-notch.! The atmosphere is always chill and everybody's happy to be there. I ordered the create your own option with creamy tomato soup and the wife got their famous pick 2 option. Of course we had to order their amazing loaded tots however they could have used some more cheese. We will continue to make the drive to eat here!

They had me the second I became aware of the grilled cheese donut. Finding out that a location no longer exists within the city limits of Cincinnati didn't deter us. We walked across the nearest bridge and over to the Levee. I may have accidentally attempted to open doors that were not meant to be open during my attempt to find this place but that's neither here nor there. There wasn't another human in sight when we first entered the establishment. I already knew what I wanted so I confidently walked up to the register. My line of vision immediately snapped to the mac & cheese on the menu above, noting the "award winning" comment. I slipped in an order of that just under the wire. We walked around to the back of the place as, by this time, other patrons followed our lead and entered. I was impressed they were able to find us but they kindly placed our order between us just as the anticipation was reaching its peak. So the donut appeared to be of the glazed variety and, unexpectedly, the outside of the sandwich was the inside (unglazed) portion of the donut. Upon reflection, this is probably for the "grilling" part of the sandwich. It was a very interesting combination. I wouldn't say that it reaches the realm of other, more notorious combos like white and rice, peanut butter and jelly, or ham and cheese. GF wasn't head over heels for it and didn't have more than a bite or two. I took one for the team and finished it. It was enjoyable. It was worth the calories. I don't feel compelled to eat it again. The mac & cheese was very good and worth an order. The staff were also very nice and helpful. I would recommend.

First time and last time here. The place was pretty messy despite it being empty. The sandwich was okay. I wasn't expecting it to be a fully loaded Sandwhich but there was like 2 pieces of ham and the saddest tomatoes. It is a convenient spot but I'd save your money and go elsewhere.

OMG! The BFG + creamy tomato soup + donut cheese with bacon. Super friendly staff. Can't wait to come back Newport!

Been here many times and love it. Today I was yelled at by the nasty cook who told me to get out of her kitchen when I asked for a to go box. Terrible employee.

Came here on 4th of July since it was one of the few food restaurants still open around 7pm and it did not disappoint(: The service was good, mainly due to chef. The cashier who took our order wasn't particularly inviting but once our food was done, the chef personally took it to us, thanking us for coming and to enjoy which caught me by surprise. I appreciated him for being so friendly and walking our food to us(: My boyfriend and I ordered a grilled cheese donut and the bacon Mac grilled cheese which were both really tasty. The cheese in the donut was fairly mild which complimented the sweetness very nicely. The mac and cheese in the bacon Mac was seasoned very well, not overly cheesy and the bread had a great crunch, not very greasy either. Very satisfied with the food(: Definitely come here if you have the opportunity or are in the area! :D

Tried the classic grilled cheese donut and it was pretty good. I expected more cheese flavor but it was solid. For the price I think it was worth trying once. The restaurant did look a little run down and the bathrooms were not clean. It's in a nice location and really convenient for a lunch spot after the aquarium.

Delicious fast casual option at Newport on the Levee. Quick, friendly service and a menu with lots of variety. When the weather is nice, the patio is great for people watching at the levee. Fair price for absolutely delicious soups and sandwiches. This was a great choice before a movie - we were so full we weren't tempted by the overpriced snacks at the AMC nearby. Great classic flavors, very family-friendly, and plenty of seating too. I came on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait to order and plenty of seating options. I will definitely be back!

Visiting from Florida and this place was a GREAT find! The location is awesome, the staff super friendly and the food is delicious! Donuts and Cheese?!? Say less! The grilled cheese donut hit the spot! Seems a little out there but it is soooo good! The kids meals are perfect for the price. Will definitely be visiting this spot again when in the area!

Over the years when making the trek to from Louisville to Newport Kentucky usually with the kids to see the aquarium or on the way to visit Cincinnati we have stopped at this creative and cool establishment a few times. This is basically a massive grilled cheese establishment. With menu items focused around several grilled cheese type items. They get pretty creative. For instance every time I've visited I've gotten then donuts grilled cheese where they buns are donuts. Yeah...I know what your thinking. It's strange. But it is strangely delightful too. I compare it to going to the state fair and looking at the food and basically saying "YOLO" and trying a strange of exotic fried food. Overall very cool place. Definitely worth checking out. I'll have to make a return trip sooner than later. They actually added a Louisville location in my home city but I unfortunately did not make it there before they closed. Who says grilled cheese only belongs on a kids menu? It definetly wasn't the owners and creators of Tom n Chees!

We loved the slow cooked corn and classic Cuban so much that I told him we are going to pay him a visit very soon. Here we are 4 days later. They are located at the Covington Yard. There are two other food vendors on the property. We ordered: -Classic Cuban (8") -3 Tacos Caribbean style w/ chicken -Large order of tots We got our meals less than 15 minutes. Wow! The Cuban sandwich is everything I've expected it to be! Super delish! You don't need hot sauce in my opinion, it's packed with great flavor. Btw, they have mass hot sauces to choose from. We tried 3 different kinds for our tots. My Mr really enjoyed his tacos. The seasoned tots were so good! Not greasy and tasted great with their signature sauce (tasted like a yum yum sauce). All hit the spot!!!! What a great experience and I can't wait to come back again and try other items on the menu, but my fave is hands down their Cuban sandwich!

Not to say energy is low or it's so quiet you feel self-conscious talking; it's just that nothing about the experience feels rushed or accidental. As expected, the bread course was phenomenal as was all the food we enjoyed! We opted for the wine pairing along with dinner, which results in about 1.5 or 2 full glasses over the course of the meal. The sommelier did an excellent job introducing and explaining each wine, as well as why it was selected to pair with each course. All told, a lovely experience and one worth repeating--and not just because the menu changes every season.
