Orange chicken fries
Ivette z.

I used to go to a Mongolian BBQ place in Westwood when I went to ucla and I have been trying to find one in OC. This place definitely scratched that itch. It was SO good. They also have a Chinese food buffet, but my favorite was easily the Mongolian bbq. Also, everyone kept coming in to get the orange chicken fries so we of course had to try it...I get the hype. Super yummy. Will be going back soon!

A friend and I wanted to try a Mongolian BBQ place near us, but they are closed on Monday. I found a few other options, and we decided to come and try Panda Mongolian BBQ. They are located in a strip mall, and we arrived around 6pm. There was plenty of parking and a lot of seating available inside. We walked in, and I told the woman at the register it was our first time here, and she told us how it works. The restaurant is spotless. They apparently had an ownership change in January, and it looks like a brand new restaurant. There are three booths along the front window, and a good number of tables as well. There are two food stations, one for Mongolian BBQ and one Chinese food, and the price for both is $7.99 per pound. For the Mongolian BBQ, you grab a bowl and fill it with your ingredients. The four available proteins are beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp and they were all very chilled. There is also a big spread of veggies and noodles at the end. All of the veggie containers and noodles were full and very fresh, as they appeared to be ready for the evening dinner crowd. Once you have loaded up your bowl, you take it to the cook and tell them which combination of the six sauces you would like. I loaded my bowl with beef, shrimp, a little pork, jalapenos, green peppers, mushrooms, and noodles. I took my bowl to the grill and told the cook I wanted the #1 Spicy Garlic Sauce which the host said was very popular. The cook then prepares it for you, and puts it in a to-go container. Take the container to the register to weigh and pay, then grab a seat or head out. The Chinese food is buffet style and is already prepared. You just load up your container, weigh, and go. They are apparently known for their Orange Chicken Fries which I'll have to come back and try. My container was a little under a pound and cost a tad bit over $8 after tax. The food was cooked perfectly, was fresh, flavorful, delicious, and filling. I went heavy on the protein and light on the noodles, it's all the same price. I don't know where you're going to find a better bargain than this for delicious Mongolian BBQ.

$7.99 per pound ~ $16 plate

At $7.99 per pound, fresh of the wok entrees, you can have some real fun DIYing a plate! Lots of self service but staff is attentive to make sure you get taken care of! They're under new management and they actually had a 20% promo when i went too! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well! Food quality is actually my favorite part. Plenty of tasty options like honey shrimp, orange chicken, bbq pork!

The service is amazing. I noticed a sign that said there was hotpot, but I think I misread it because it wasn't available yet. I went up to the BBQ self serve area thinking I was grabbing ingredients for my soup, but then realized it wasn't available. However, the chefs were very kind, and made me soup anyway. They also gave me a discount. The soup was very good!!

Went back a few days ago with some friends. We used to go here once a month years ago. Glad to say we'll be doing that again now! We had no issues with the service so that's great. Food was delicious, even my pickiest eater friend loved it. The Chinese food buffet area was hot and fresh. Overall it looks like they're off to a great start!

Stopped for the weekend buffet since we came to Starbucks. Food is fresh and tasty. Lots of shrimp dishes, coconut and salt & pepper were really good. Hot & sour soup was really good. Fresh self serve Mongolian bbq. It's of options and lots of sauce options Jazz music and intimate. Wasn't busy at 338 pm. Great service. Worth a try.

(Friday 3pm) I absolutely loved it! Service was beyond amazing! Explained to us the options and the steps since it was our first time there. Ambiance was very open friendly and casual. Definitely can see myself with a group of friends here. Portion size definitely depends on how much YOU want to eat. They have two plate sizes; small and large (Mongolian) Each pound (1lbs) is $7.99. They have Chinese food or Mongolian, can do both if you choose. I will say this place needs more decor and a bit more of ventilation but besides these minor details I highly recommend!!! Cleanliness 9/10 Service 10/10 Location 8/10 Ambiance 8/10 Portions 10/10 Overall 9/10 I will definitely be going back! *everyone has different experiences, remember to be kind.*

First time here with the new ownership and it was great. Delicious food and good customer service and nice and clean environment

What a hole in the wall gem of a place! You pick out your items in a bowl and take it to the grill where you can pick your sauces! I like the garlic ponzu sauce the best. Teriyaki one was a bit sweet. The fire dragon sauce is like black pepper. Try all and see which one u like! After it's cooked, you take it to the register and you'll weigh it and pay. As of the date of writing this, it's $7.99 a pound. You can also get Chinese food by the pound, they have like honey walnut shrimp, char siu, fried rice, chow mein, orange chicken, etc. The place is very clean and well maintained! Customer service is also A+! Also... GET THE ORANGE CHICKEN FRIES. IT IS SO GOOD!!!!

Amazing Food amazing service customer service on point. They have an open buffet and I love it. Joanne was the best. I'm highly satisfied.

I love the atmosphere here. We have our go-to table. We have our go-to orders and every single time they have really nice staff that always care and try to make it a good experience. The food is amazing. They have a hot section and they also have the raw section. Highly recommend going to the hot section and getting some coconut shrimp and some wings. For the actual food itself, get a ton of meat because it's light and just keep going with a lot of protein and then you can fill up on the other stuff as extra. Remember it's $7.99 per pound so you can get a lot of food at a cost-effective price and it's delicious. I highly recommend only one sauce. You should also give the orange chicken fries a try. It is delicious and always comes out very hot!! Come check this place out!!!

I came to try out this place because I saw that the store has changed owners and changed into something completely different. I was so excited to try this place out, especially with how great the marketing was about their promotions and menu items. I have been here quite a couple of times already previously to this, so here are picture references to what I've bought: Mongolian BBQ and Orange Chicken Fries! I always do the build your own per lb. with the #4 Dragon sauce because I think it's the most flavorful. Every other sauce is good as well, but I just preferred #4! This place is very self-explanatory--you get a bowl and you just stuff it with all the things you want. And if you need another bowl for noodles separately you can do so and they would still cook it altogether for you. The buffet area goes by $7.99/lb, same concept as the previous, but pre-cooked and all you need to do is weigh at the end and pay. The owners and the staff are all so generally nice! The middle aged man and woman that's usually upfront is always so so kind and happy to see new and previous customers which makes the mood so much more pleasant and not as unwelcoming. There's lots of seating areas with warm lighting to sit so you have plenty of space to chill. It's always so clean when I come in and that's something I think says a lot about this place. 100% recommend you to try out this place and if it's not your thing, at least you said you tried it! Food is absolutely delicious and the price per lb doesn't hurt anyone either!

We ordered combo C while making a few substitutions to our order along with a few additions. This combo fed 4 people and there was plenty of food left over. Good customer service in spite of mistakes goes a long way. The atmosphere is casual, and low playing 80's rock echoed throughout the dining area. The restaurant had a relatively small dining room which wasn't overly crowded at 6pm-ish on a Friday night. The bar counter hosted a couple guests as well. The honey walnut shrimp was arguably my favorite meat, while the house chow mein was my favorite side. The restaurant provided complimentary fried wonton crisps complimented by sweet and sour dipping sauce. This was the perfect starter prior to our food coming out. I look forward to returning for the great customer service and fresh prepared food. ***CLOSED MONDAYS***

I noticed there weren't many people there. Granted, it was still early and I'm assuming you'll get a little busier as the night goes on. We were greeted and seated at a table. The people were nice and while I was surprised they didn't speak. Cantonese, the server spoke Mandarin and help us make decision on what items to order. We ended up getting the green beans, the filet mignon French style, a black bean fish fillet, and their house special fried rice. I thought the best item that we got was the fried rice. They put a decent amount of shrimp and barbecue pork and it tasted pretty good. The green beans was a tad bit on the sweeter side which I wasn't used to, but it had decent flavors. The filet mignon was a little bit on the smaller side and there wasn't a ton of pieces in there and it was the most expensive dish of the night. I probably will skip that next time. The fish fillet was actually pretty good. All in all, 3.5/5 stars is probably what I would give it. There are definitely better Chinese restaurants if you're willing to drive a little bit out. At least it's nice that this place is conveniently close to where we live.

We ordered orange chicken, chow mein, white rice, broccoli and beef, and pad thai. I want to start off by saying I'm typically picky with my orange chicken. It usually has a tad of an artificial flavor. This place was realllyyyyyy good. The flavor was good for all the dishes we got, the portions were very generous and more than enough for 3. The restaurant is located in a large shopping plaza. Although I wouldn't say there's plenty of parking, I was able to find a spot without much trouble. When I first saw the crowd waiting outside, I got a little intimidated and even thought, "Should we just go somewhere else?" Haha. But surprisingly, the wait wasn't that long, and we were seated much faster than I expected. Once we sat down and looked at the menu, I was already impressed! I loved both the variety of dishes and the prices. There were so many things I wanted to try, but I decided to save some for future visits. Haha. We ordered the Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), a noodle dish, the Beef Roll, and the Scallion Pancake. The food came out pretty quickly, and we started trying everything one by one. OMG. Everything was SO GOOD!! Honestly, every single dish exceeded my expectations. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The Beef Roll was especially impressive because it had more beef inside than the ones I've tried at other restaurants. The Xiao Long Bao was juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! The Scallion Pancake was perfectly crispy on the outside, with that wonderful savory flavor. And the noodles! I can't remember the exact name, but I think it had "Golden" in it? Haha. It had a unique flavor that I'd never experienced before, with a little spicy kick. Even though it was spicy, it was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating until the bowl was completely empty! While we were eating, I suddenly thought about my family at home, so I ordered another Beef Roll to go. And here's another thing that really impressed me: **THE SERVICE!** The employee who helped us with the bill was incredibly friendly and pleasant. I was genuinely happy to leave a tip because the service was that good! But what happened afterward impressed me even more. After paying, I went to use the restroom. The hallway leading to it was somewhat narrow, and whenever I passed an employee, they politely stepped aside to let me through first. It might seem like a small gesture, but I really appreciated it. It felt like treating customers with kindness and respect was simply second nature to everyone working there. Great food, wonderful service, AND reasonable prices? What more could I ask for?! Honestly, **why would I go to Din Tai Fung when I have 7 Grams?!** Haha! From now on, whenever I'm craving Xiao Long Bao, 7 Grams will be my first choice! And I definitely have to come back because the dishes I saw on other tables looked absolutely delicious, too. There are still so many things I want to try! **7 Grams, you've officially won me over!**
