    BBQ brisket

I used to like going to this location because it's one of two in my area that serves quinoa fried rice. I was excited to try the new bbq brisket and ordered it a la carte. I watched the lady put 5 of the smallest, thinnest pieces in the box . There were plenty of medium to larger pieces available. When i asked her about it, she said that's the way it is. I felt so jipped and she overall had a crappy attitude about it. It's advertised all over social media as some nice sized thick pieces. So what am i paying extra for - scraps!?? Do better Panda Express.

Plate with 2 Entrees (Spicy Orange Chicken and Broccoli Beef.. if you can even see the entrees)

[ Food ] We ordered the plate with 2 entrees, it was for the $5 deal when the Dodgers win a game and they were heavy on the chow mein to compensate for the lack of protein for the Spicy Orange Chicken and Broccoli Beef... [ Service ] The person who gave us our order seemed nice. [ Parking ] There's free 90 minutes parking in the back or metered street parking in front of the restaurant.

I had super low expectations based on my experiences in the east coast but I was pleasantly surprised. I don't know if all (west coast) panda locations are like this but the service was great, the food was fresh, and they have craft drinks! I got the plate which came with 2 entrees and a side. I went with chow mein, honey sesame chicken, and eggplant. What impressed me the most was that they were refilling the options constantly and if it was running low, they gave the option to wait for the new batch which was already on the way. I'm not much of a fast food Chinese American eater but this will definitely be a location to add to the books if I'm in the area shopping and starving.

Overall a good experience from this Panda! I stopped by for lunch after doing some shopping nearby and thankfully it wasn't busy at all. The parking lot in the back leads directly into the restaurant which is convenient bc finding parking on Lake is... not happening lol. Service was great I was greeted as soon as I walked. In. I ordered steamed rice with orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp. The orange Chicken was very good as per usual, but the the shrimp and rice were a little under and over cooked for my liking. I still enjoyed my meal though!

Officially my new favorite Panda Express location. Orange chicken PLUS special teas? Yes, please! Not to mention they have some of the nicest, most on point staff here. There is a parking lot in the back or street metered parking out front. Clean, well stocked, organized and efficient location well stocked with tons of options. I had the pineapple pomegranate lemonade and it was so delish. My orange chicken bowl was the usual hot, crispy and tasty I've come to expect from Panda.

Update: I returned to give them another try. The food was good and the portions were finally reasonable. However, the service was horrid. A man cut in front of me and the staff took his order while ignoring me completely. It was a strange and frustrating experience, so I won't be back. It seems you have to choose between good food or good service here, but you can't get both. It is a shame because the location and interior is really nice. I would go there for WiFi or to meet someone publicly to get tea, but not to get food.

I was excited to try the burrito and boba. However, I was disappointed to find out that they don't have it here.

It was flavorful, the right balance of spices, and the portion was plentiful! We also tried the green onion pancake (not pictured) because it was so good with the accompanying sauce that we went through it so quick before I could take a picture! Crispy texture but soft and a little chewy on the inside. The gai lan (Chinese broccoli) was a good portion, nicely salted and provided a good balance to the meal. We loved the presentation and fireworks worth flavor from the pork belly bao. All of the pickled vegetables along with the sauce and the savory pork belly were a great blend. Only thing is, it falls apart easily and is very messy to eat The service is quick, food is out without too long of a wait. The staff are all very attentive and helpful, especially with recommendations. Inside the dining room, it's very nicely decorated and spacious. Definitely will return when in the area!

Let's start with this... Woon as a restaurant in it of itself; concept-wise? interesting and…read morecultured. In practice? Falling short is an understatement. There are so many serve staff walking around everywhere but it seems that not one is capable of doing any kind of hospitable serving unless specifically directed or asked to. It's a bit disheartening to be sat and have the feel of a sit down restaurant but in reality Woon is much closer to an overly complicated food court setting. Let's get to the main point: The OVERLY salty food 1. Cold Sesame Noodles wow... if i could give something a 0 this would be in the negatives. the noodles and most likely the sauce seems like it was prepped days before and just left in the fridge waiting to be served; the noodles were hard and undercooked and the sauce had a no aromatic flavor that typically comes with sesame noodles. It seemed to me that the only fresh ingredients that came in this bowl of noodles were the cilantro and carrots used as garnish. 2. Scallion Pancakes I thought it'd be difficult for a place that markets itself as a classic take on Chinese/ Taiwanese food to ruin a classic Chinese staple; but Woon did. they add some sort of coating? onto their scallion pancakes in order to deep fry them but it ends up being an overly salty, overly oily dish that is not even close to what most would consider a dish you could order and eat at nearly any Taiwanese/Chinese restaurant. 3. Chicken Wings (Woon's Only Saving Grace) Great chicken wings; batter is light but crisp and flavorful. The sauce is sweet tangy and spicy and overall quite a balanced flavor that most anyone would be able to enjoy. Comes with 7 wings and are all flats. 4. Mapo Tofu Noodles Well it's nothing to write home about; there was no issues with this dish but it just overall is an uninspired recipe. The flavors are underwhelming and is just a dish to me that is there to not offend anyone. Any college student could make this and it'd taste about the same... 5. String Beans Somehow a simple string bean dish that is a staple for Taiwanese/Chinese restaurants can still be messed up. The major point of error is that the string bean Woon uses isn't even the right one. Woon uses a western string bean rather than traditional Asian string bean and it resulted in an overall undercooked and underflavored string bean dish. For the price of the menu; one would expect that the quality and taste would match up, but in Woon's case basically every dish fell short of their high prices. Would not recommend going here especially since there's plenty of better food you could easily find and eat at basically anywhere in the 626 area. The only major selling point for some people would be the nicely decorated interior but come on... the food should at least be somewhat edible for the exorbitant pricing.

Of course, I went in because I already know the quality of their food. I always find their noodles fresh and chewy, and the dishes are rich in texture and flavor. But this time, since I was by myself, I didn't order a noodle dish because I was just by myself. So, I ordered the beef roll, which is also to die for! Just really enjoy their food overall. If you've never tried Noodle Street before, definitely check out their menu and give their noodles a try. This particular location was clean, the staff was nice, and the wait wasn't long when I arrived. I would definitely come back again! I'd like to add one more detail. While I was waiting for my food, one of the staff members, possibly the manager, Justin, came over and asked if I'd like to have a small bowl of broth on the side. I said yes and was impressed by that offer. Why? This young man understood that I had ordered only the beef roll, which is a dry dish. Having a little warm broth on the side made it much easier and more enjoyable to eat. I had water, though, but I personally never drink water before or after my meal, so the broth was definitely a perfect complement to the beef roll. This is the first time in my Noodle Street eating history that I've been offered something simple to enhance my dining experience. A small gesture that I think is worth mentioning, as it showed that he was attentive and had very good common sense when it comes to customer service. Thumbs up to him, and an extra star from me for this location.

Salt and pepper calamari: great crunch, wish it had a little more salt & pepper & garlic seasoning most pieces weren't coated, but the calamari texture had the perfect chew. Crispy vermicelli with beef: loved the crispy noodles and soft beef stir fry textures together, definitely ask for chili oil with this dish, it needs that extra umph of flavor for the noodles. Salted egg yolk pumpkin: I normally love this dish, only wished the outside was crispier, got soggy fast and with how thick these are cut you want the crispy exterior, but flavor was good. Only thing that made me feel a bit "eh" was the chipped plateware they have and continue to use. Service - wonderful! Everyone was so friendly and had nice customer service. They even helped recommend dishes and also share opinions on what we shouldn't order which I loved. Parking - free parking lot! There are a few spaces right in front of the restaurant. But around the side there's more parking as well.
