It's so shocking how bad they were and how rude and inefficient, that I'm just in shock and it's been an hour and 40 minutes since we left. We have been to every drive-through Panda Express within an hour & a half any direction from Chico. We go once every couple of weeks. This was the 1st time going to this location and we only chose this one over the Churn Creek 1 because of the vile reviews. We should have just stuck with the Anderson location like we had originally planned but were so close when we were going to Michael's to the Dana street 1, so we decided to give it a go. Waited a normal length of time to place our order in the drive-through. 3 to 5 minutes. Everything was fine there. Pull up and pay and then she tells us the chicken will be a couple of minutes. Totally fine. All the sudden she tells us to pull around to the front of the restaurant and park and wait and takes a note of what our car looks like. 1st time I've ever been through a drive thru where they didn't have the food ready and told me to pull around somewhere else to wait it out. But I was fine because she said it would only be "2 minutes" well, 10 minutes goes by and then 14 minutes go by and absolutely no sign that they're putting together our order and we had a direct view inside to see that nothing was happening with our order. At this point I'm fumming and we still had an hour drive home and I decide to just go in and I stand there with my receipt waiting for someone to actually look over my way which took about 3 minutes. And this young girl, who I assume just started there because of how clueless she was about everything, gives me a look and I put my hands up in the air and say "we've been waiting over 15 minutes now sitting outside" and asked where my order was. Then she leaned in to another coworker who I guess has worked there longer or maybe she was the manager...not sure. Does a whisper thing and and eye glance thing and that girl doesn't speak or even look at me at all. The young new girl comes over to tell me what I already knew "we're waiting on the teriyaki chicken" I told her I knew that, and that was almost 20 minutes ago that I was told it would be 2 minutes! We would have had a full course meal by this point in a real Chinese restaurant! And then I asked her "so since 2 minutes has long come and gone, how long will it be now?" and she gave me this stupid adolescent shrug and mouthed "I don't know" and then just walked away and left me there. I looked around in disbelief not sure what to do besides go get my wallet from my car and scream at the register till they gave me a fucking refund! Then I see the girl she whispered to walk past me with a scowl, looking like she hates her entire life, tossing insane amounts of soy sauce, fortune cookies, and sweet-and-sour sauce in a bag and putting a bunch of stuff in boxes. One of them look like something I ordered so I waited to see if there was going to be any recognition that this was my order since no 1 was speaking. She scowled and and kept throwing things in the bag then all the sudden looks up at me with this disturbingly creepy fake smile and says" have a good night" and that was my order. They waited 22 min from my drive thru order to just then put my order together!!! So my son and I drive about 10 minutes away so he can actually eat something since its 30 minutes past our dinner time and there are no fucking utensils! He could eat what he got with his hand but I could not. I ordered Chow main and their super greens dish. And I had to drive after that and they also gave us no napkins. Had to drive home and just got home an hour later eating dinner at 9:15 fucking PM! This and the Churn Creek location should be out of business! Complete imbeciles! Stick to going to the Anderson one if you're out that way and the other direction, go to Chico. Light years better than the Redding locations. read more

I can describe the quality of the food with two words. Absolute Garbage. While the service from the employees was perfectly fine the food is is bland, cold, and down right disgusting.I couldn't finish my plate. Their prices are outrageous. We rarely order eat out for dinner but last night we decided to celebrate my daughter. We asked her what she wanted and she said Panda. I ordered online to avoid having to wait with a toddler and a baby at a restaurant. I was given a time to get there and we got there when we were told . My husband ended up going in because our youngest fell asleep. My husband got there and our order wasn't even close to being ready . They didn't even ask him for his receipt. So he waited there and finally got the order , got his Large cup but they didn't even have ice ! We got home and was so excited to eat and they gave us the wrong food and it was cold ! Like seriously? Our order wasn't ready , we waited and our food is incorrect and cold ? Plus we paid $30!?! I tried calling them several times , I gave up after 20 ! I wanted to talk to a manager to let them know about the order and hope to get a replacement ready for us but couldn't get ahold of anyone , it just kept ringing and went to a annoying beep . We live 10miles (20 round trip) away from panda and with the two kids it's hard to just go back and have to wait again . I'm hoping to get a hold of someone today if not I might just have to drive back there and talk to someone because our experience last night was terrible! Wasted our time , money and gas for the wrong food that was cold ! I'll update their customer service today once I get ahold of someone , if not I'll have to drive there and waste gas (40 miles total after last night ). Every time i come here, the drive through some how messed up our order horribly. This is at least the third time that I've ordered something and driven home to realize it was wrong. The lady that helped me was Mary. That was clearly my fault for letting myself drive all the way home and then looking. But i don't understand why it's so hard to get a drive through order right. Ordered teriyaki chicken, fried rice and beef and broccoli. Got home to realize they gave me orange chicken, not teriyaki chicken. Wouldn't be such a big deal if i didn't already drive home. Let's get it together at this location. I just drove back through, same girl Mary is helping me yet again, seems so annoyed to have to fix it. Went through drive through, they somehow managed to give me orange chicken instead of beef and broccoli. Didn't notice until i got home. I called the store, it took several tries until they answered. They offered for me to come back after i had already gotten home. Didn't want to, ate what i had. Chicken had clearly been out for awhile and the fried rice was hard and lumpy. This is probably one of the worst pandas I've been too in a long time. I've watched employees pick out the meat out of meat and veggie dishes for their own dinner. They have to eat, but take a scoop and eat what you get, both meat and veggies. 9 times out of 10 if you go later in the night they say they are out of teriyaki chicken because they don't feel like cooking any more. read more

My friend and I decided to have a nice dinner together, all was good until we got ready to leave and realized we needed lids. The sign on the door says it closes at 10 but the doors were locked. We weren't the only ones who were still there and me and the lady next to us both got up to get something . We politely knocked on the door and asked if we could Please get what we needed. The lady was very rude and slammed the door on us twice and rolled her eyes at us. After about 10 minutes a few more people showed up and they continued to be very rude instead of saying "we closed due to new times " , after about 20 minutes the lady came out and apologized to the people sitting next to us but when she walked away , she glared at my friend and I before walking back inside. I was very disappointed with the service because usually it isn't horrible, but for some reason, the worker today let her emotions effect the customer service. The people sitting next to us were still very upset with how the lady treated her even after the apologize because there was absolutely NO reason for the worker to behave the way she did. Okay, food is pretty darn tasty for super fast Chinese. Usually on it about not letting stuff sit there too long in the heating trays, so it's usually fresh. Table lay out isn't the best, and the skimp on the chili sauce packs when you request them. Outside dinning is available if the weather permits and you'll have a beautiful view of Chase Bank, Dana Drive and the beautiful Golden State Foot Clinic. In the mood for Chinese fast food and short on time? Then this is your place, in and out cause you have to get to the mall and beat other girls up to get the latest crap clothing and waste your paycheck, or maybe you just have to fill your gut up before you go and get hammered at the Nail. DO NOT bother ordering online. I completed an online order last night at 8 pm. Two entree orders. I was advised it would be ready at 8:21pm. I arrived at that time, stood at the "Online Orders" sign. A young lady asked for my name and then checked on my order. She came back and said, "we need to make it." I asked why it hadn't even been started and she said they had been busy. I waited about 5 minutes and she said they were out of chicken teriyaki and had to start a new batch and it would be twenty minutes. I sat down. At 8:55 another young lady walked over to me and said they were out of fried rice and wanted to know if I wanted steamed rice. Before this I saw countless people being served in the drive thru and walk ins being served and walking out with their food. I was done. I could've been in a sit down Chinese restaurant and been done with my meal in the time I waited between ordering and getting this last update. I was done. I asked for a refund because I had already paid online. What a complete joke. Why offer online ordering when as a customer you are placed on the back burner? (Pun intended). I wasted my time and my gas. By the time I left, other Chinese restaurants were closing. No dinner and my time completely wasted. I nicely asked the employee if she could give me a little bit more, since I'm paying for the bowl I want it to be filled to the top. The lady replied, "No, we only give one scoop but you can buy another one." Clearly one scoop isn't enough to fill the entire bowl, which the customer is paying a fair amount for. read more

Terrible experience with this Panda Express. From the unfriendly attitude of the line staff to the staff just coming on shift making the comment to the dining room that they wished they didn't have to be there. To the wait for Teriyaki Chicken only to be given a bowl with no teriyaki sauce and without being told. Then, the Beef/Broccoli which had 2 small pieces of beef, one of which had gristle. When confronted with the poor service, the worker said they could get the sauce if we wait another 15-20 minutes. Terrible customer service and substandard food product!! You should have a better training program which focuses on wanting repeat customers. Not only will we not be back but we will tell all of our multiple adult children, adult grandchildren and friends about how terrible it was. read more

My husband and I recently went to Panda Express. I had never been to a Chinese Drive-thru before. It was awesome! They offer a lot of choices. We each ordered the two entree plates with one side. I had the orange chicken and sweet/sour pork with chow mein and Kevin had Kung-Pao Chicken and Fire Cracker Chicken with fried rice. The food was served very hot and quickly. They take cash, and credit cards. Very friendly staff and they offer samples. We were both stuffed for under $13.00. We have already been back two more times. I usually have a pleasant experience at every Panda Express I go to. The one in Truckee is very pleasant. I also ate at the one in Grass Valley numerous times, all the employees always very nice. Except the one in the parking lot of the Redding Mall. We eat there at least once a week and they get the order wrong every time. We order the same thing every single time. Do you think any of them recognize it? I surely recognize the one that makes the excuses all the time. Plus, we always have to wait 6 min for potstickers or 7 min for the teriyaki chicken. One time they thought they'd throw in a cookie to make it up, and then forgot my potstickers and spring rolls. And what's the worse part, they act all snotty to you, like it was your fault. Whoever is preparing this slop, needs to GO! ordered the chicken sesame, two egg rolls and chow mein in the box, the server said I would save money, went through the drive-through. Went home opened box, I got maybe a tablespoon of the chicken the rest was all chow mein, egg rolls were over cooked, sweet and sour to much on the sour side. I never know what to expect at and I am done with this location. Sometimes you get a portion, sometimes you don't. Sometimes the food is warm through and through, sometimes not. Rarely are vegetables ready to be served, there is usually a wait for them or something else. 15 minutes in line, 10 minutes waiting for something to be cooked after being told it will take two minutes. Your incomplete order sits there forgotten. Today I bought a bowl that was mostly cabbage and bottom of the serving bowl scrapings with about one third of a serving of sweet fire chicken. I know this because I looked at my husbands plate ahead of me and the person behind me and it was obvious. I even asked the cashier if this equals a serving and she said, "a serving is a scoop". I wish I had been brave enough to refuse to purchase it but my husband had already swiped his card. At least he shared his plate with me. Will not have lunch here again. read more
