First, I was pleasantly surprised at how late this place is open and that it has a drive up window, so you don't even have to get out of your car - how handy is that! I went inside though. I came to this location with my family at around 3:30, and had a pleasant experience. Our server's name was Charlene, and she was very sweet and helpful. I ordered Chow Mein and Orange Chicken. I have been to this location a few times in the last few months and my visits has been good. Yesterday I went in and it was the worst visit ever. Lobby dirty, took 25 minutes to get my food and the food was old/burnt. Cashiers have a no awareness, all they cared about is talking with each other and manager. Some changes needs to happen in this location. I asked the cashier if the Manager named Will or Andre still worked at this location and the cashier told me Will works in Santa Maria and Andre doesn't work for company anymore. Bummer.. Will and Andre is the reason I keep coming back to this location. I will never go back to this location. read more

The sign on their door says they open at 10:00 am today (I got here at 10:15), and the doors are still locked at 10:28am. The employees are in there working, and saw me try to get in, but no one has opened the doors. ......update....at 10:30, someone unlocked the doors. The food was just fine and the employees were courteous. The mixed veggies weren't ready yet so I had to wait. I overheard a customer ask for some string beans, and the employee said they weren't prepped yet, so it would take about 30 minutes. It seems that the management needs to bring the crew in earlier to start the food prep earlier, and get the doors open at the posted time. read more

The food is edible, portions for kids, and you also get solicited for donations. Every customer gets pushed into donating. Called checkout charity. The scam is to make the customer fell pressured into donating by asking loud enough for others to hear. Make you fell bad saying no. After complaining, the owner, I mean manager, asked about my complains. I told him your workers are soliciting for money or scientifically called checkout charity. He said they match the donation, a total fabrication. If so it would be plastered everywhere. He did show me a poster showing how Panda Express donation $4k last month. He did do his job, the only reason I added a star. I'm done going here. I donate but won't be forced into the checkout donation scam. read more

Came today at 10 , and was waiting in line at the drive through for over 8 minutes , ended up leaving after not being helped , or given assistance at all , just sat there in silence waiting for whoever was working at drive through to assist me , seemed like whoever was working wasn't on top of things at all , and left a very bad experience for this customer , wont be returning any time soon. read more

Update...they're still always out of food, even when just opening, or even when there no one in there. Which i dont see how thats possible. Aside from not taking the opportunity to preapre food...tonight they wouldn't allow 2 transactions from the same vehicle in the drive thru, even though there was no one else in the drive thru...literally had to drive around in a circle to make a 2nd order...what kind of nonsense is that. Really disappointed with Panda today. Normally have no issues.. but today I was told 5 to 8 minute wait for my food. Which I'm fine with. Horrible. I was the last customer for that evening and ordered shrimp and walnut. First it wasn't a full order since there was not much left. No walnut. Server should have told me that it wasn't enough to make the order. Besides charging me full price, the cashier charged extra one dollar. It should have discounted two dollars. The fried rice was horrible. I could taste the rice was partially cooked. I go to Lompoc for work frequently. That was my first time and would be my last time. If you come in around lunch time everything is made fresh. For some reason food taste better here. Especially orange chicken is nice and crunchy from outside and soft inside. Service is fast and portions are bit on small side but I prefer quality over quantity. There is air force base near by so expect alot military personnel. read more

Once they finally interact with you, the employees are too concerned with the drama going on inside of the business that they don't actually listen to you and take your order. When they do get the item right they just throw some in the package, still paying more attention to their friends or whatever else is going on. I also find that they give you so much less than other locations. I've never seen such unprofessional behavior at a chain. What a waste of time and money. For everyone reading, this is the 4th time I've been to this spot. I'm not a critical person but it's only gotten worse. I have gone several times into this restaurant they do not have teriyaki chicken. And almost with a smile they say it'll be a 20 min wait to discourage me from waiting. I don't know if it's this stores policy to not have it made unless ordered, middle management failures or the employees laziness but it is constant like my kids love Panda Express but this specific store has an issue. The kids ask for it I go and my diet the only thing on the menu I can eat that doesn't completely kill it is the chicken that I now believe might never be available. Like oh it takes 20 mins to make it and nobody got time for that apparently. Now this alone would generally just sway me from coming back but my daughter begged for Chinese food so I caved. This time not only no chicken, but the food was cold and gross even my daughter has abandoned them. You would think at 12:00 pm their dishes would all be ready for customers. Instead I saw 3 of them not ready. When asked when they would be, was told they are not ready yet. Of course it's not ready yet. If it were, they would have it out I would think. So I asked her to ask the cooks when they would be out and was told 20 mins since they hadn't started cutting the celery yet. So I went ahead and got something else. I go to get my drink at the fountain and see they are having a plumbing issue that had them using a plunger on the drain. Tells me they do rinse the machines when closing as you're suppose to. So disappointed I'm a pretty loyal customer i even received some VIP discount cards from the general manager. i stopped by today in drive thru and tried to use the card as i had 3 times left to use it for 10% off my order and the kid at the drive thru said i could use it and marked my card and i looked at my receipt to see he didn't even apply the 10% off. When i asked him why he marked my discount card but didn't apply the discount he said we have to mark it each time you use it, i explained yes i understand that but you marked it and didn't apply the discount and he continued to say "i wasn't taught that way". Stating he was taught to mark the card down 5 times AND THEN apply a 10% discount after the 5th visit, I physically showed I was confused as he closed the window and walked away. How does that make sense, how are all cashiers not being trained on how to correctly use their own discount cards that clearly explain how they should be used on the card. read more

The corporation grew profits 8.2% over the last fiscal period and is projected to open 5k stores within a couple of years. Why??? After 3 hr long hour drive from Los Angeles with family we decided on this place for dinner. Got the family deal for about $40! Food was meh- the broccoli beef was really really bad in appearance and taste. One bite & I returned the entire entree and the dude working the counter seemed pissed off! My kids were not going to eat it. I asked for a side a white rice instead- anything beside the bum entree! After a few minutes the guy finally agreed ( with an attitude) and switched the entree. I love panda, however this is because I do not mind patiently waiting for my food. We usually get the family meal so most of the time I have to wait for at least one if not more entrees to be made so there is enough for our order and for others. The service is usually very friendly and they always answer any questions! I have noticed that the people who leave here unhappy are the ones who give the workers a hard time about things that they cannot really control like how much orange chicken there is... if you are nice to then they are nice to you, you get what you give so give respect and you get it back. 2-5-21 @5:25pm: Okay...... I had said before in a review a few months ago "...never again, done with this place!" ...and should've kept to it. But the better half wanted Panda and to try again. My order wasn't ready and I was a few minutes late due to the traffic in the shopping area and not being able to get to their parking lot because of the drive thru lane cutting off other customers. Anyways.....So we pre-ordered online for pick-up and ordered the Big Plate for him (a side and three entrees, right?) and only got the side and two entrees!! Yeah, got shorted....AGAIN!! This time, it seemed like new faces, so it's not the same people making the same mistakes...they just don't care! The Asian chick who seemed to be running the show was rude to customers and even her co-workers, carrying on loudly barking instructions...wow! The walk-in and online pick-up line was all one line and jumbled up so that people weren't allowed to keep the 6-foot social distancing law, with people walking over one another in a confined area at the counter...that really pissed me off! The drink I got with my meal was EXTREMELY flat and syrupy....which I threw out in disgust, and my fried rice was really dry. The food, in general, tasted okay, but the servings were VERY small compared to how they USED TO serve their customers, and as with our order tonight, they're still omitting parts of the orders people pay for! So I brought my niece to Panda Express in Lompoc, Ca. (one of my favorite places to eat) today. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and fried rice as usual. The Teriyaki sauce had an unusual vinegar flavor to it. It was nasty. Didn't even taste like Teriyaki. I went back to the cashier and told him, in which he got his manager. The manager told me I could not get a refund because I ate at the food. Excuse me, how was I to know if I liked the food or not? I was told that the Teriyaki sauce is free and that is why I couldn't be refunded. Okay, but I did order "Teriyaki Chicken", doesn't that include "Teriyaki sauce"? I told the manager that I did not want the food. So I was ready to leave hungry and broke, when the manager offered me a $10 gift card. What, do they think I'm going to eat there again? By the way, the cook heard my complaint and made more sauce and it was actually good, but I was so shocked about not being refunded (because I tasted the food) that we left anyway. read more

I visited the lompoc, california store at about 1 pm today. I ordered a 2 item plate and at check out I ask for a cup for water from the soft drink machine. The lady said it was out of order. So I bought a bottle of water for $2.05 which was my only choice for water to drink. On leaving the store I checked the water dispenser at the soda machine and it was working fine. I ask for the manager lady and she told me "we didn't force you to do anything". This has to be an approve management practice to sell more water. I'm so sad about this as I used to like the place. This was my first time eating at this panda express it's been a long weekend so far and me and my kids were very tired and hungry when we walked into panda express we were immediately greeted by Adrianna with a smile She also offered for us to try one of the newest items on the menu him immediately which made me very excited because it was shrimp!!! Then one of the items was not fully ready so she offered me and my kids free drinks while we sat and waited for the food. When she called us up to get the food the sauce wasn't ready for the teriyaki chicken but it we said that we would like to wait for it when she came to bring us the sauce she also gave us free vegetable egg rolls for awaiting an additional five minutes. Our daughter has autism and is very hard to feed but we found that she loves Panda Express the only problem was she doesn't eat much meat. The manager in your Lompoc store helped us with this issue (Andre) by fixing her an all vegetable plate from the SWFIRE CKN BRST this is her favorite. Ever since he has started working there you can see the improvement in the quality of the food and all of the employees. As for my family we now come in every Friday. Real bad tonight. We went through the drive-thru. This is the second out of the last three times they didn't have an entree. It was Teriyaki chicken both times. So instead I got orange chicken and walnut shrimp with white rice instead. The girl in the drivethru was a total sweetheart and very apologetic. We paid for our food and came home. When I opened my box of food, my rice was still hard and a couple pieces of my orange chicken were cooked so long that they were hard and dry on the inside. My walnut shrimp was a bit slimy, too as it was last time. I think I'm done with this location. I've been to many good PEs all over San Diego and other parts of California. The Lompoc location can't seem to get it's act together for some reason. I'm calling corporate in the morning. read more

This place is usually consistent, meaning the food is usually the same. However, changing the steamed veggies which were simply delicious and not complex, to the over cooked and over salted "super greens" mix is not tasty whatsoever. Was told it's a "promotional item." I wouldn't keep it on the menu. This location is ALWAYS out of things too. Today it was chopsticks, last time it was a twenty minute wait for orange chicken when the place was empty. Also, not sure why but they seem to be stingy about their sauces. I don't eat soy sauce on my already salty food, but I do enjoy their chili sauce because it adds more flavor and spice. When I get enough food for three people, I would think that we could get some more chili sauce, even after we asked for a couple extra. 1 per person for me, isn't enough. I will say this, they're always quick with service, and very pleasant so customer service gets 5stars.
