For the first time in years my husband really wanted Thai vegetable fried rice, and we stopped by Suvan's Kitchen with the hope that it would be as delicious as the place we used to frequent before it closed...and it was! We had an honestly nice experience for our lunch visit. We were greeted cheerfully by two nice young ladies behind the counter (who very kindly turned down the loud, thumping music when we asked). The service was direct and efficient, the wait was not too long at all, and the food was delicious. Door dash ordered some rare steak/ meatball pho, chicken eggrolls, and beef brother and noodles. Everything that was ordered came packaged, I just wish the utensils included chopsticks. Feeling a litter under the weather so wanted something comforting and warm and this order covered it! Broths came in separate packaging and were extremely hot! ( which is a good thing ) Pho: I liked the fact that you can ask for steak packaged separately. Box came with a good amount of noodles, basil, cilantro, sliced onions, jalapeños, green onion, and hoisin/siracha mixed in a little container. Broth was really good you could taste all the spices - I actually didn't even add the available sauces in the broth and just used it to dip the cooked meat into. Beef broth: good flavor not salty - comes with same pho noodles Chicken eggrolls: good size with a good crunch, some were a little soggy - but that's to be expected since I didn't eat on site. As much as I appreciated that they had vegan options including a vegan menu, I was not a fan of their vegan pho. When I was ordering, the cashier who took our order was new and I had to tell her multiple times to look at the menu instead of telling me that by default the vegan pho was veggie broth. The menu specifically said to order with veggie broth because by default it was chicken broth. The menu also said to make sure to tell the cashier no fish sauce, no eggs, and no oyster sauce. This should already be addressed to the kitchen staff instead of being the customers job to request for these especially if there is a vegan menu already . We asked for a small amount of salt when we ordered our food, but all the food came extremely salty. Does the kitchen staff even read the comments on the orders? We had to send back an order because it was way too salty. The vegan pho was sad. Broth was bland, salty, only veggies, and no protein. Maybe add in some tofu and/or spinach for extra protein. My family had beef ball pho, seafood pho, orange chicken rice, and pork chow mein. My family and I did not enjoy our food. The portions were also small. We won't be back. read more

I have eaten at Suvan's for years and the last two times, I've been so disappointed in the food. It tastes nothing like it used to and sadly the new taste isn't good. My daughter and I went together both times and they gave us Tom Yum soup instead of Tom Kha and when we pointed it out, the server said, "well, they are basically the same thing" and didn't offer to fix their mistake. So we ate their soup which wasn't what we wanted. This time, the Tom Kha just didn't have any coconut taste to it. The red curry, which is usually my favorite, wasn't good. Almost exactly 30 minutes later, she called my name. I checked on the food when it was ready to go and it was at the right temperature. This place is a great place for a hearty meal in Lompoc. The food is excellent and the staff are nice. On my last visit there, I had the yellow curry, the fresh spring rolls, the chicken satay, and the mango sticky rice. The yellow curry was very flavorful and full of texture. The carrots and potatoes in the curry just added something that soaked up the flavor and added great texture. I got it with chicken, which was cooked perfectly for the curry. The fresh spring rolls were so good, with a little bit of a bite to them with the rice paper wrapping. Combined with the dipping sauce, these were just so great. The chicken satay was pretty good. The marinade brought great flavor to the skewers and had an almost curry like taste. The peanut sauce tied perfectly with the salty chicken skewers. The relish with the bits of cucumber and carrots was nice and refreshing. The mango sticky rice was an amazing desert with a great texture. It comes with sliced mango and a creamy sweet sauce. The texture and flavor in this dish is really good. The restaurant is a little dark, but it's pretty well decorated. I went to lunch with coworkers recently and they were all recommending this spot, so I was very excited to try it! It was really easy to snag a table for 4 during the lunch hour on a Thursday. You place an order at the counter and then food is delivered to your table. I opted for the chicken pho, which was so tasty! They offer ample additions to add to your pho, including spicy sauces. There is only one size available but it was plenty of food. Others in my party enjoyed yellow curry and the pad Thai. Everything was so tasty and our food came out pretty quick, making for a great spot for lunch during the work day. I read the reviews before I ordered so I was expecting some amazing food and se So, when I placed my order for two days, I asked that they call when they arrived as I was staying at a hotel and I asked that they knock on the door when the food arrived. I ordered directly from the restaurant online, First, I never received a call. Approximately 30 minutes from the delivery time I called the restaurant, (approximately 25 minutes before closing because I was sleeping a lot due to the surgery), but they guaranteed the delivery probably because the hotel is practically next to the restaurant. Then I checked my email and saw my order was delivered. I opened my hotel door and it was just left in the hallway outside my door. Who leaves food outside a hotel door and does not even call or knock?? Anyone could have tampered with it or it could have been stolen. Again, No one ever called and no one ever knocked on the door. Secondly, I asked for utensils, there were none in the bag or any kind of sauce, Third, one of my orders was Yellow Curry Shrimp. The Rice arrived in a rice container and the shrimp in curry juice in another container. I have to give this Restautant a fail on service all away around even though they hired an Uber person named "Sherry" to deliver. Horrible service. Second, fail on no utensils or plate or container to put the rice in and then pour the shrimp and juice over. The other meal was a noodle meal...again no utensils/. I clearly listed in special instructions; I was in a hotel. and they were delivering to a hotel . While my wife and I have never dined in at Suvans Kitchen, and at this point, it feels like a personal challenge to keep it that way. Why mess with perfection when their takeout and delivery game is absolutely unmatched and we can enjoy delicious food from the comfort our own couch? Every single time, our food arrives piping hot, seasoned to absolute perfection, and so gosh darn good we literally find ourselves having to pause mid-bite just to stare at each other and process/respect the deliciousness. The portions? Pretty gigantic. Like, "we COULD share one dish, but we're not about that life" gigantic. Leftovers are a guarantee, and honestly, Suvans leftovers slap just as hard the next day. Sometimes we order a bunch of food just so we have leftovers lol! Now, let's talk about the vegan options. Because holy tofu, they're incredible. If tofu were an Olympic sport, Suvans would take home the gold every time no question. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked--none of that sad, soggy tofu nonsense here. I personally keep coming back for the Orange Tofu dish because it's just that damn good. Suvans please send me the recipe because it is BOMB!!! The staff? Always friendly and super quick to fix any order issues (which are extremely rare but handled with zero hassle and a lot of patience when they do happen). The pho Lao here was a lifesaver when I was feeling out of sorts. Clear silky broth that just needed a few drops of chili oil, and the mix of fish cake and shrimp was really tasty. I liked that they had the full carousel of pickled chilis, dry pepper flakes, sambal, etc. so that you could really douse your soup in whatever way you wanted. I also had a mango sticky rice to go, and while I would have wanted more mango, the sticky rice with the coconut cream really hit the spot. The staff here are working hard on the tons of to-go orders while still providing table service, so be patient on your food. They also stayed open at least 30 minutes past their listed closing time to accommodate everyone. I wish I'd picked up a packet of their lotus cookies or had time to try more of the menu! read more

Can honestly say it's the best Thai food I've had in the county thus far. Everything is freshly made and the service is always A-1. I have not ordered anything from here I wasn't amazed with. Although not "Thai", the Orange Chicken at the "Spicy" spice level is good; however, I will need to try it at the "Thai Spice" level. I usually get the "Thai Spice" level with the Pad Thai or Pad Se Ew dishes and am pleased with its spice. Sometimes the spice levels doesn't feel as though the spiciness is consistent, but that may be due to me just eating spicy food frequently. They have a good coffee and Thai ice tea as well for drinks! Fear not, for there are the standard array of fountain drinks as well for those who are less adventurous.
