I understand that essential businesses are doing there best to protect their staff as well the patron. However. I'm not sure if this location is representative of all Panda Express or if this PE is an anomaly. But it was a chaotic experience. We all know PE is kind of a buffet/cafeteria/assembly line process which I understand is not an option during these times. As businesses need to adopt stringent safety orders. But the pictures that this PE had taped to the table by the front door, left little to be desired. It just wasn't appealing and super tiny to view. Had I never been to a PE and was basing my order on the pictures alone, I don't think I would have ordered. Nevertheless, they have the cafeteria style of ordering blocked off by a bunch of tables. There is a makeshift counter right by the front door with a mobile pos on top. As well as the partition to protect the employees. The employee who helped me was wearing a mask and gloves. For some reason I was having difficulties hearing her with the mask and partition creating a sound barrier. When I had to pay for my order, I had to put my card in a cup and the cashier rung up my order. To be clear, the gloves she had on while preparing food when I walked in, was the same gloves she kept on when handling my debit card..... Sooooooo what?! She returned my card in this super extended weird cup thing which was just over the top. I was told I had to wait outside and my order would be called out and I could get it via the other side door which would be left on another table to avoid contact. There is not a PA system and the girl only called my name once which she couldn't pronounce (not her fault but knowing she needed to do this, she should of asked for clarification on the pronunciation). Nevertheless, the whole experience was a bit extreme. Completely impersonal. And quite confusing. Three starts for my veggies. I always get the veggies instead of the rice or noodles. The experience here through the pandemic was absolutely horrible. Service was absolutely horrendous, even after two years. Ask for chili sauce and they pile you up with soy sauce. Portions are small and cold. They rush people in and out and they're not nice about it. Zero customer service skills. Everything is rush, rush, rush. They forget items. They're out of items. Food not cooked properly. Chow mein was more like top Ramen. This was once a great location. The company clearly has lost control of this location. It will be sad to see it close. I've been here a couple of times and this location is a bit smaller than the other Panda Express branches. However they have outdoor seating, which is nice when dining here at night because of the ambiance outside (Christmas lights above and around the fountain area). The food is just alright as what is expected from most Chinese fast foods. I think it is tapered to the general public's palate. Their food lacks bold flavors of the orient and therefore I consider not authentic at all. Also, their serving portion is a little less than the other Chinese fast food such as at Twin Dragon, which is located just at the next mall. Service crew were nice and I could say patient enough while you chose your entree. They would also let you sample some of the entrees to assist you in choosing. The dinning area was kept clean and the restrooms as well. I particularly like that Panda Express has an open kitchen, which they keep clean. Likewise their glass door refrigerators that keeps cut veggies in clear containers, I just thought it was very organized. This branch is situated in a busy mall where there is Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Sam's, and etc. and if you happen to be in a hurry to get some mediocre Chinese take-out this place would do. read more
