They also offer old school delivery if you live close by which is amazing bc tbh, i can't stand the new school delivery services. 550 pm, Thursday, May 28 I pushed my online order before I left DTLA... I estimated a 6pm ETA pickup. Pretty good timing. Use their preferred ordering app Beyond Menu. Their Yelp online ordering doesn't work anymore, tried it several times. There's plenty of parking as I arrived at dinner hour. I only waited a few more minutes when the box of food came out from the kitchen. Our usual order is the Family Dinner for 4 which includes egg rolls, steamed rice, chicken Chow mein, orange chicken, kung pow chicken, and broccoli beef, and fortune cookies. I feel that their quantity and quality is slipping since COVID happened as all these restaurants are try to stay profitable. Family notice that portions are smaller and flavor of the food is bland. It's lacking quality control and I'm not sure if we'd continue patronizing this establishment. Total spent was $52+. read more

Great food especially the beef with snow peas, the crunchy noodles dipped in the sweet & sour sauce were a nice appetizer. Fairly priced if you keep it to 2 entrees usually low 20's. Typical small Chinese restaurant with nice ambiance and great service. I usually do take out and the best part of that is no matter how much you order it's done in 10 minutes. We've ordered from here many times and we've eaten in also. It's ALWAYS consistently good. They are quick with prep and the flavor is delicious. Just recently my family was making tamales and of course we need to fuel up and we ordered from here and EVERYONE was happy and satisfied. Some even came back for 2nd and 3rds. Golden Wall came up and I placed a phone order for pickup. Upon arrival, there was a man and woman at the cash register and they didn't even say Hi or greeted me when I came in. The food was quite good & the lunch menu comes with an egg roll, salad, & a choice of soup (hot & sour or egg flower). We also received fried won ton skins as an appetizer before we ordered. Chinese food catering to an Americanized palette. The mapo tofu wasn't as spicy as we'd expected but good nonetheless. The Szechuan eggplant was tasty, and the fish fillet with mixed vegetable did not disappoint. We were happy with the service. I would give this place a zero if I could I placed a pickup order and the food made us sick. The chicken was dry and gross, looks old. The lo mein was super greasy. When I called to try to get my money back they said that it was made fresh and that it was basically my fault the food looked like that. But yet we were throwing up within 10 mins. I arrived early to pickup my food when the eta said 6:20 I got there at 6:10 and waited 6 mins before going in. So to really blame me the customer for "being late" when I got there early is unprofessional. I will probably have to find a new Chinese food spot. The owner was also very unfriendly. The orange chicken sauce looked black and the texture and smell of the chicken was off. The chicken in black bean sauce was so salty that I could not eat it. I used to work here and I would eat the food in the back of the kitchen so here is my fair review. Back in the day when Ted was the owner, he ran a pretty tight ship. The guy was cool and he paid us fair. He fed us a lot of the times too. I can't complain about the original orange chicken, Mongolian beef, or the beef and broccoli dishes. Don't let the look of the exterior fool you. Golden Wall had great reviews, but after looking at Yelp pictures of the exterior, I wasn't sure. We took a chance and are very happy we did. The restaurant is fairly small, but clean. We were greeted immediately and ordered our drinks which came quickly. We are pescatarian and found a great variety of dishes that met our dietary requirements. We ordered the salt and pepper fish, and Kung Pao tofu that wasn't on the menu.. Both dishes were incredible. There are only 10 or so booths so it feels cozy like you're in someone's house. The website prices are mega outdated-- the dinner for 3 is now ~$35. Dinner for two for my husband and I consists usually of one or two entrees and the chicken lo mein. We like the broccoli beef and cashew chicken (we usually get easy bell pepper because they're not my fave. Not because it's not good, just too much for me). WOW how times have changed! Had a real bad experience last night with Golden Wall. My Husband ordered Kung Pao Chicken and it was awful! The chicken was overcooked and resembled jerky. He also found something sharp in the meal on his first bite. He immediately threw his dinner and the remaining in the garbage. I had War Wonton soup and it smelled so bad and I checked the shrimp and it was so smelly that it also went into the trash. We also ordered chicken and snowpeas, which was okay. This place was so much better several years ago, but not now. This was Golden Wall's last chance and they failed miserably. If you are looking for quality/tasty Chinese Food, I do not recommend Golden Wall. read more
