6 pm, Sunday, February 22, 2026 I ordered golden wall and ordered through Yelp but it redirected me to a different food ordering app (BeyondMenu) so I ordered the dinner for four family meal and I added two extra sides of egg flower soup. The family was not feeling well at all and they said hit the spot. It's been a few years since we've ordered takeout from Golden wall. I wasn't sure if it was going to be the same but had to go with what we knew. The food there was very good so ordering from the app was pretty easy. We knew what we wanted putting in the information and payment information was very easy. So, I figured best to pay right away so they make the food immediately instead of waiting for me to arrive there to pay. I didn't want that to happen! I wanted to get there at the perfect time and announce that I was there to pick up an online order. So when I got there the restaurant was dimly lit which I guess was all right for the diners that were inside eating. When I was walking up almost looked like the restaurant was closed. They're in an old strip mall and not really any bright lights on the outside indicating that they were open. They did have a neon sign in the window that said Chinese food. Once checked in, it only took a couple minutes for the order to come out boxed and placed on the pickup table. There's a lot of food for what you pay for a family dinner and then two containers of soup that also included two bags of crispy wontons and a bag of fortune cookies and soy sauce. The dinner included crispy egg rolls which thankfully seems to be under the same management they cut the corners of the styrofoam container to vent the steam so by the time I got to the house and let egg rolls were still crispy although your mileage may vary depending on how far you live from the restaurant so I'd say you know the food still tasted the same although I feel that they could have seasoned it a little more ask my family how they felt about the egg flower soup and the comment was that although it was planned it really hit the spot and was very comforting as they ate the soup because they weren't they were under the weather so I'm glad that the soup hit the spot for them. read more

I live close by so I thought what the heck let's try this place. Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Beef broccoli, walnut shrimp, chow mein, egg flower soup, orange chicken, a standard order. I didn't enjoy anything but the soup, $65 of food in the trash. Small inside, maybe 8 tables, they have back stock billowing out in the dining room. Service was somewhat soulless. Just a lady up front trying to take your order and get you on your way. Please take my advice. Drive down to Panda Inn on valley view. Get yourself some real Chinese food. Sorry Golden Wall. I wish you were good. read more

Golden Wall came up and I placed a phone order for pickup. Upon arrival, there was a man and woman at the cash register and they didn't even say Hi or greeted me when I came in. The food was quite good & the lunch menu comes with an egg roll, salad, & a choice of soup (hot & sour or egg flower). We also received fried won ton skins as an appetizer before we ordered. Chinese food catering to an Americanized palette. The mapo tofu wasn't as spicy as we'd expected but good nonetheless. The Szechuan eggplant was tasty, and the fish fillet with mixed vegetable did not disappoint. We were happy with the service. I would give this place a zero if I could I placed a pickup order and the food made us sick. The chicken was dry and gross, looks old. The lo mein was super greasy. When I called to try to get my money back they said that it was made fresh and that it was basically my fault the food looked like that. But yet we were throwing up within 10 mins. I'm sorry I hate to do this to a small business but this was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. If you think this place is great then you probably never had really good Chinese food. The owner was also very unfriendly. The orange chicken sauce looked black and the texture and smell of the chicken was off. The chicken in black bean sauce was so salty that I could not eat it. I used to work here and I would eat the food in the back of the kitchen so here is my fair review. Back in the day when Ted was the owner, he ran a pretty tight ship. The guy was cool and he paid us fair. He fed us a lot of the times too. I can't complain about the original orange chicken, Mongolian beef, or the beef and broccoli dishes. Don't let the look of the exterior fool you. Golden Wall had great reviews, but after looking at Yelp pictures of the exterior, I wasn't sure. We took a chance and are very happy we did. The restaurant is fairly small, but clean. We were greeted immediately and ordered our drinks which came quickly. We are pescatarian and found a great variety of dishes that met our dietary requirements. We ordered the salt and pepper fish, and Kung Pao tofu that wasn't on the menu.. Both dishes were incredible. WOW how times have changed! Had a real bad experience last night with Golden Wall. My Husband ordered Kung Pao Chicken and it was awful! The chicken was overcooked and resembled jerky. He also found something sharp in the meal on his first bite. He immediately threw his dinner and the remaining in the garbage. I had War Wonton soup and it smelled so bad and I checked the shrimp and it was so smelly that it also went into the trash. We also ordered chicken and snowpeas, which was okay. This place was so much better several years ago, but not now. This was Golden Wall's last chance and they failed miserably.
