This place is hands down one of the best Chinese foods I have tried, the orange chicken was a very crispy as well as flavorful. The service was fantastic as well, it was my first time being there and the feeling of being there just felt very welcoming, they had given some extra items to take and honeslty I couldn't be more thankful for Joanna. The ambiance again feels welcoming, and again for the food the chicken was good it dint feel like it had a lot of oil it felt really clean and good. The honey chicken I would say if you mix it with the jalapeño chicken it's such a good combo with the white rice as well. Very generous with the portions, you can feed a family of 3 with that 2 item combo. Typical steam plate Chinese food with some tables but most patrons were taking out. As for the food, I was not impressed. I was not fond of the fried rice. It was kind of like broken rice dressed up and dry. Our first time trying this place and we were very happy with the customer service ( Joanne and her staff). We did wait in line for about 20 mins before we ordered. I know, usually I wouldn't stay, but we had nowhere else to be and they were obviously busy. On that note, we ordered a three item combo with chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, kung pao and shrimp chop suey. Hearty servings and tasty except for the orange chicken. I was disappointed that the chicken was not edible, very chewy and hard. Luckily everything else made up for it. Not sure if its usually like that, but if we go back, I will not be ordering it. Joanne was kind enough to give us egg rolls and the doughy bean sesame rolls on the house. The egg rolls were yummy. The bean rolls, different but good. We will back to try the other options of food. I never write reviews...but wow. I ordered a 2 item plate. It comes with chow mein or rice. I got chow mein, broccoli beef, and orange chicken. The lady helping me was more than generous with the portions. After the box was overflowing, she even added in chicken on top, I didn't even ask. So nice. It was all really tasty and seemed fresh. I also ordered 1 order of egg rolls, supposed to come with 2. She gave me 5, and even threw in some sweet sesame balls. After all of that, she thanked me for waiting and went back and made me a boba drink. So much extra for free, didn't even ask! I've been needing a new Chinese spot ever since I moved. I've been eyeing this spot, and finally gave it a go. Food is easily 4 stars, but I'm a sucker for good chow mein. Kung Pao chicken was my favorite hands down. My kids love the orange chicken. They liked the crunch on it. Then there's Joanna. She's the owner. She is by far the kindest soul I have ever met. She made sure to not only load me up on food, but she gave me tons of extra food to try because I was a first timer. She kept saying "trust me, you have to try." With the day I was having, Joanna's kindness made the day that much brighter. She is there to take care of her customers old and new. Needless to say, I trust her. Oh! And they're open late!!! Where do I even start? My husband and I waited 45 min for food . We were third in line but by the time we ordered there were many people waiting in line behind us. The woman serving the food looked completely lost. She kept handing out random free items and calling the men "Brothers" and women "Sisters " Ma'am .... We're here for dinner not a family reunion. We ordered Broccoli Beef, Kung Pao chicken, Garlic Beef, chow mein noodles and steamed rice . She tried to make it better by offering free mini egg rolls. My husband kept saying " I don't want free food" I just want what I ordered. She had already taken our payment so we were basically stuck . And with everyone looking pissed and "Hangry" he waited it out. We got home , opened the bag and GUESS WHAT?? Two boxes of greasy burnt noodles and one SAD box of broccoli beef . That's it!! So to prepare you, it is pretty standard Chinese fast food. Not bad, but not something I would be thinking about and craving. That said, I still want to give this establishment 5 stars. Why? Like other reviewers have said, the female owner, Joanne, is super sweet. She leaves you feeling better than you came in. You can tell she really tries to make every customer feel welcome and valued no matter what their background is, which is rare in this world. I appreciate how much care she puts in each other making sure her customers get the better parts from the batch. It's so fun to see her digging for the best pieces with her large spoon. I kind of worry she loses money by giving so much out for free, but she seems to get a lot of joy going above and beyond for her customers. And it probably helps spread the word about the restaurant.
