I love the mix of the crunchy breading and sweet/spicy/savory sauce (hard to describe until you try it!) on the chicken, and the beef was surprisingly tender. The portions for the first two entree choices are huge which we love to see (the third one that comes in a side container not so much). Their chow mein is just okay with not that much flavor, but I doubt that's the main reason anyone is coming here. I've been coming for for awhile and always loved their food, portions and prices. I understand wanting to provide fast service but they rush people too much. Even when you're off to the side looking at the menu, everyones asking you, what do you want. Like Let me look at the menu to find that out. Also, this is the 3rd time where I go around 6-6:30 and I'm told no more white rice and they will have more tomorrow. Respectfully I'm not coming tomorrow for just white rice. I've been coming to this Chinese fast-food spot for years because the food is genuinely good and the portions are solid. It's always been a quick in-and-out kind of place -- you point at what you want, they serve it, you pay, done. Exactly what fast food should be. But lately, something has seriously changed. The newer staff (the ladies working the counter) have started pressuring and shaming people into tipping -- and not in a subtle way. I've watched them guilt-trip customers, saying things like "you give tip. You give tip." Even when people are just trying to grab a quick plate. This isn't table service. There's no sitting down, no refills, no servers. I'm in and out in literally two minutes. On my last visit, I ordered two trays, and they still commented that it "wasn't a lot," even though that's all I needed. If there's some kind of minimum order rule, then write it somewhere, but don't make customers feel bad for ordering what they want or need. What really pushed it over the line: When I picked up my order and asked for a couple soy sauce packets, they said no -- because I "didn't give 10% tip." I paid in credit card when I placed the order but then had also put some cash money in the tip jar, so on my receipt - it didn't show that I tipped on there, but either way, even if I didn't give tip, since when does fast food require a mandatory 10% tip? So if my order was $100, you want $10 tip? If you want $10 for soy sauce, I can literally buy a whole bottle for less. Trust me, I don't mind kicking down tip, Especially when it makes sense, and I've always supported this place. I usually always add a little something for tip here. But tipping should never be forced or tied to basic condiments. The food is still good, but the customer service has gone downhill fast. If this pressure to tip continues, they're going to lose longtime customers like me. Food would've been a solid 4 stars on its own. But I can't keep coming back to a place that makes me feel uncomfortable and mad like this. There are other places to grab a bite. Our friends told us about this place and we got it once with them. But haven't been here in a while and we were so hungry. We stopped in to grab a bite to eat, it was kind of busy the night we went. But it's a decent size parking lot, and they have inside seating which is nice. You order your food like panda express style, they have a pretty nice variety to choose from. I liked the lights inside too, the employees were friendly. They also give you a nice portion of food too. We got a huge plate of food, we took it to go. Without a doubt, Twin Dragons is the best Chinese fast food take out in the La Habra/ Whittier area. First of all, an actual Chinese family owns it- always a good sign. Is this authentic? Only in the sense that they are preparing Americanized Chinese fast food that have been proven to cater to the Western palate. So no, this is not truly authentic Chinese food, but it is true to what it's trying to do. The portions here are king. One, 2 item combo is easily enough for 2 meals, maybe even 3. On top of that, you get your choice of either egg roll or soup and salad with every combo. My suggestion is always the egg drop soup and cabbage salad. I always order half chow mein, half veggies, but you can also get fried rice, steamed rice, or Singaporean noodles along with your choices. I actually prefer the sweet and sour pork over the orange chicken. Let's be honest folks, although I have never had any issues there, the ruder the service at a Chinese or Korean spot, the better the food. It's a proven fact. Pro tip, yes if you go closer to closing the selection will be less, but they will pile on the portion because they are trying to get rid of the food. The food here is always yummy but be warned, you MUST be hungry! Their portions are HUGE! I love that they have the Honey Walnut Shrimp ready to go. I always get noodles and they are very heavy handed! The service is always friendly and occasionally throw in a couple of egg roll for free. They always have a smile and the LONG line moves quickly. The same lady served me as last time, and she uses a heavy hand for the noodles because it's like 75% of the plate. I don't think they need to go THAT overboard with it, but it's whatever. I don't usually write reviews, but this experience really stood out. I went into Twin Dragon to order my usual meal -- rice noodles, orange chicken, and kung pao chicken. After being served the first two items, I let the employee (the woman with glasses) know I would also be ordering additional plates. Instead of continuing with my order, she grabbed pork without asking and actually started serving it onto my plate. She also seemed visibly upset. The interaction felt uncomfortable and out of place, so I even asked her directly, "What's wrong? Why are you doing that?" because it didn't match what I was ordering. At that point, another woman who appeared to be in charge stepped in and took over, which made the situation even more noticeable. I want to be clear -- I'm Hispanic, and I don't eat pork simply out of personal preference, not for religious reasons. However, the way I was treated felt like assumptions were being made about me based on my appearance, and that came across as disrespectful and unprofessional. No customer should have to walk into a business and feel judged. Because of this experience, I will not be returning. The food may be good, but the way customers are treated matters just as much. I hope management takes this seriously and works on improving their customer service. On top of that, I had previously participated in their stamp card program, where after a certain number of visits you receive a free meal. When people say oh one of the best Chinese takeout places is in La Habra, I always balked and thought, there's no way that's the case. I'd have to say this time, they were actually right. Now, I'm not saying it's worthwhile to drive out of the way to get this, because if you live in central Orange County, there are so many good ones in just about every city. Heck even in Lake Forest there are some fantastic options and those are my go-to whether I want something more greasy or a bit leaner, there are different options that succeed at different things. Now, when people keep on bringing up all those random ones in Fountain Valley that are cash only that pile the plates high, they're absolutely right, but they've got nothing on La Habra's Twin Dragon. The incremental addition for a side is nominal so absolutely get three items. In addition to them filling half the container with half a noodle, somehow filling yet another half with the other thing whether you want some rice or the Singaporean noodle that's unique to this place, you'll get the entire rest of the box filled with your first side, and then they pile the second, with a third on the side. But then they give you a soup, either hot and sour or egg drop, and a salad, which is your typical Asian salad but actually it's more fried wonton than lettuce, and if you're still reading, you're actually given enough for two meals, unlike those pencil throated folks that thing a Panda Express plate can be split into two meals like yeah sure if you're a child. TIP: Make sure you have extra notches in your belt for this one, you'll get an entire meal after you finish what you can eat to take home. read more

Got that and they charged for the Lunch Special which used to include a drink for $13.65 + tax. The receipt even says includes drink. The sign doesn't say includes drink. I could not get it through the servers head that I did not order the lunch special, which apparently now, is an extra fee not a special for lunch.
