This place will keep you fed and full for a good price. The chicken dishes here are all pretty good. The soy chicken is super sweet though, to the point where it tastes like candy, so I would be careful w that one if you dont like sweet things. I was in the mood for shrimp the last time I went so I asked for a shrimp dragon bowl. The lady spoke very fast and in very broken English. I believe she asked what type of shrimp and I asked what type they had and she had me go down to the steam table that had one type of shrimp, so I was like "ok, I guess that's the one then." The portions and the cook and temp on the shrimp was really good. The sauce on them was straight up mayonnaise though. Looking back at their menu online I now know this must be their walnut shrimp. Never saw any walnuts though. All mayo. So the next time I go I will ask if I can get a bowl of maybe some sweet and sour or spicy chili shrimp because the mayo all over the bowl was kinda gross. Their firecracker chicken, orange chicken, kung pow chicken are all good and the egg rolls they give as part of the combos are the highlight of the meal for sure. The past couple of times I have gone they were still stocking the drinks in the ice bin so when they asked me to take a drink as part of the combo each time they had not stocked any of the sugar free sodas. I mentioned to them if they had a diet soda I would take one and they just stonewalled me and didn't reach over to the stack of cases of diet soda along the wall of the restaurant. So yeah, not the most helpful of service sometimes. I have seen Twin Dragon and was always curious about it since we moved here 3 years ago. Finally I was drawn to it after being told that Rol (next door) didn't do take out. The kitchen smelled good enough. The price didn't seem bad at all. Two 2 entree plates were about $30 with egg rolls and drinks. Brought it home and ate a portion of the chow mein with orange chicken and beef/broccoli. It was quite underwhelming. But I was hungry. No later than 30 minutes after eating it, I was in the bathroom, like I had cyclospora. My wife finished was just about done with her plate and almost bit into a piece of metal (see picture ). It looked like it came from a grill scrubber. We were already home and honestly too busy to go back to complain. But definitely not coming back. We arrived on a Saturday at arund 7pm. The line was out the door, but you're basically ordering once inside. Its combo chinese, so the line moves ok. There was only one couple actually eating inside, everyone else was to go orders. They are constantly bringing out fresh food because of how busy they are, so that's a plus. I even asked for an item that was empty and it was put in to my box by the time I got to the cashier. They give an eggroll for each of our 2 item combos, so that was cool. They offer Singapore rice noodles as a side, which is different. The fried rice we got had a texture that was a bit off, but we're thinking it could have just been a bad batch. Probably some of the worst Chinese food I have had in Southern California. The egg rolls were mush and tasted sour. The fried rice was dry and bland. The orange chicken was somehow mushy and also dry. Besides that, the staff was rude. They were out of their sodas and my meal included one. I said okay, can I have a water instead and they said no soda only. The only choice was regular coke and I can't drink sugar. There was a line out the door (understandable,it being Friday at noon) but the line went pretty fast. Like I had mentioned the portions were healthy and all the offerings looked very delicious and fresh. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. They have a lunch special of $14 for a 2 item combo with rice and chow mein an egg roll and a canned soda. I ordered all chow mein and bbq chicken and pork . Small detail but love that they upgraded their to-go boxes. They're sturdier and keep the food warm longer. My favorites are the firecracker chicken and kung pao chicken w/ chow mein. The portions are HUGE and lasts 2-3 meals all for under $15. And the option of a free veggie egg roll or soup. We catered from them as well with really reasonable prices. But it's a decent size parking lot, and they have inside seating which is nice. You order your food like panda express style, they have a pretty nice variety to choose from. I liked the lights inside too, the employees were friendly. They also give you a nice portion of food too. We got a huge plate of food, we took it to go. Waited in line for like 45 minutes came during lunch rush but the line did die down after but I was able to enjoy some Jamba Juice while waiting and to be honest the wait was worth it .. BELIEVE THE HYPE! Food was a 10/10 the Singapore noodle was delicious, the chowmein was maybe the most bland part but the sides were all great. Orange chicken wasn't too sweet, Broccoli Beef was great, the BBQ chicken was fantastic. The egg soup was also good and their Thai tea is also really tasty. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was so unprofessional that I feel other customers should know what to expect. When we arrived, the woman working there already came across as somewhat rude, but we brushed it off. During lunch, they gave us the complimentary items that come with the lunch special, and when it was time to pay, her entire attitude changed. She repeatedly emphasized the "free" items we had received, which already made us uncomfortable. I could understand if we were dining inside, but we were ordering to-go. Then, as we paid, she laughed and made a comment about how we didn't leave a tip. At first, we didn't even realize what she had said, but she repeated it. My boyfriend asked, "You're saying I didn't tip?" She responded, "Yeah, you guys are the only ones who didn't tip." As if that wasn't inappropriate enough, she proceeded to pull out other customers' receipts and show us exactly how much they had tipped, using them to shame us into leaving one. I have never experienced anything like this at a restaurant. Displaying other customers' receipts and publicly comparing tips is incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. Tipping is voluntary, not something customers should be harassed or embarrassed into doing. Regardless of whether someone tips or not, no employee should make rude comments, single out customers, or expose other guests' receipts to prove a point. We were so offended by the interaction that we immediately left. The food was nothing memorable, but the service was memorable for all the wrong reasons. We will not be returning, and I hope management addresses this behavior because it creates an incredibly uncomfortable and hostile experience for customers. read more

The portions for the first two entree choices are huge which we love to see (the third one that comes in a side container not so much). Their chow mein is just okay with not that much flavor, but I doubt that's the main reason anyone is coming here. Without a doubt, Twin Dragons is the best Chinese fast food take out in the La Habra/ Whittier area. First of all, an actual Chinese family owns it- always a good sign. Is this authentic? Only in the sense that they are preparing Americanized Chinese fast food that have been proven to cater to the Western palate. So no, this is not truly authentic Chinese food, but it is true to what it's trying to do. The portions here are king. One, 2 item combo is easily enough for 2 meals, maybe even 3. On top of that, you get your choice of either egg roll or soup and salad with every combo. My suggestion is always the egg drop soup and cabbage salad. I always order half chow mein, half veggies, but you can also get fried rice, steamed rice, or Singaporean noodles along with your choices. I actually prefer the sweet and sour pork over the orange chicken. Let's be honest folks, although I have never had any issues there, the ruder the service at a Chinese or Korean spot, the better the food. It's a proven fact. Pro tip, yes if you go closer to closing the selection will be less, but they will pile on the portion because they are trying to get rid of the food. I have to say I do really like the orange chicken and firecracker chicken with the Singaporean rice noodles! There's something they put into the sauce that makes it addicting, probably MSG. The same lady served me as last time, and she uses a heavy hand for the noodles because it's like 75% of the plate. I don't think they need to go THAT overboard with it, but it's whatever. This time, I tried the egg flower soup, which was extremely viscous like the other one I tried. Honestly, I would prefer it if it was more on the watery side because I'm not used to this kind of texture. Do not know the routine the layouts the combos ect...I chose my items moved on and the cafeteria lady asked me if I wanted an egg roll or soup..instinctivlely I said no' for no extra charges.
