Tried to look past the reviews, everyone is right about the service. Way too slow for a Tommy's, literally put in a pickup order 10 minutes in advance. They served pickup orders that came after me and took 10 minutes for an order I put in ahead 10 minutes ago. Just do drive through if it's not bad they'll make you wait long times for no reason inside. (They get timed to make the orders in drive through so they'll actually take care of you fast in the drive through.) Great food just need more staff or a better system for the staff. Tommy's does not take 20 minutes to make especially for a pickup order. read more

Never tried this place before but our friends told us about it so of course we had to try it. We all got cheeseburgers, and we also got their chili cheese fries. The cheeseburger was really tasty, the onions were a little soggy, the lettuce was fresh the bun was a bit soft yet firm at the same time. The chili cheese fries were delicious but looked like a mess. I guess the messier the tastier lol. I would definitely eat here again I liked it good comfort food and delicious chili fries heck yeah. Sunday, April 13, 2025, 1:00 pm. Just finished our last shopping run and decided to go to Tommy's at Imperial & Beach. They had their $3.49 double chili cheeseburger or chili dog promotion happening. It was a good time to visit this location as I've never been to this one. We ordered takeout via the drive thru. There was only a single car at the pickup window. Always remember to announce that you're ordering the promotional item. If you don't tell them, you'll be charged full price. My son and I got two each. I got mine with the lettuce wraps. Service was great. The order was repeated back and the total given. At the window we were offered yellow Chile peppers and ketchup. The bag included napkins and a single fork. It took a few minutes to make the burgers. I was handed bag of burgers and off we went. This location is newer so it was very clean looking compared to the OGs in LA. read more

Not only expensive but gross tasting. Not the same quality of food and taste. Burgers were blah, chili was super thick like paste. Buns were smashed down flat. Chili boat was terrible! Tons of pickles and a slice of tomato, and very little chili covered by a thick slice of melted American cheese. $27 for crappy food. The French fries were okay, nothing to brag about. Won't be back. I waited in the drive-through lane for 30 minutes 30 minutes!!!! just for some chili cheese fries are you serious and the time I come in the window she didn't say sorry or sorry for the wait time nothing and then I asked for ranch and she said she they don't have any. I would rather drive all the way to the Tommy's in Eagle Rock before I ever come back here. I gave this location many visits and each time, it finds new ways to disappoint. Never again.... 1. I've been coming to Tommy's since I was in high school, 40 years ago. They are open late with some locations open 24 hours to satisfy my cravings. Quarter pound chili cheese burger with chili cheese fries and a drink. The food at Tommy's always brings me back to my younger days. The chili is famous and can't be beat. A burger, fries, or hot dog smothered in their chili and cheese is simply blissful. Ambiance is burger stand standard with some nostalgia thrown in for good measure. The Tommy's of today are very reminiscent of the Tommy's from 40 years ago, not to sound like they need updating, because it worked back then and it still works today. read more

They're really just blob food, not sure how else to describe it. I believe my love for pickles, onions, and chili fries has me ignoring my taste buds that are screaming, "Why tf?" Am I eating this?" The side of the onion and pickles we ordered were very "left out a long time" looking. The patty is as thin as a slice of cheese. The tomato is thicker than the patty. There is no separate favor. I have good memories of Tommy's as my high school BFF and I used to hang out at a Tommy's. The food is the same as before (consistent) and I'm a fan of the chili but I know Tommy's can be a love it or hate it experience. Got the chili dog (again) and finally tried the breakfast burrito tonight. Breakfast is served ALL day - woo hoo! The chilli dog is a mess to eat but the dogs here have a good snap to them and the chili, mustard, pickles, onions and tomato work well together for me. The breakfast burrito was really hot for a long time (how did it stay that hot for so long???) but I enjoyed it. Eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, chili and a deep fried hash brown all wrapped in a flour tortilla. We've been going to this location for a few years... no big issue until tonight! I just spent $27 on food and the chili cheese fries were cold like the fries were sitting out for a while. When I asked to have one of them re-made fresh, the guy said no problem... but then at the window he took them and came back to say the manager said they were half eaten! A total lie! The jerk manager hid in the back office and made the employee do his dirty work! The manager should have come to the window and lied to my face about the fries being half eaten. You just lost a customer! I suggest people go to the Norwalk location instead. Look at the container. "Half eaten" means the container is actually half empty! You can see the clean cardboard that has no chili grease stains on some of the inside area. I tried this location for the first time after I discovered 405 freeway location 12 years ago. Noticed so clean and stands out the logo sign on the Beach Blvd in La Habra. I expected the same qualities like before and ordered our fave chili fries and triple cheese chili burger. I tried my fries first and I said right away super soggy, the chili taste is almost a paste like very chunky bean paste. I can't feel any chili taste at all. Oh! No! So dissapointed. I asked my hubby, how's your triple burger? He liked it. But he didn't say yummy. Overall, we expected a lot but the original taste was changed. I can only give 2 stars. It's a newer location with good parking and a drive thru and ambiance is clean. Very ample space and service is good.
