The food is great. The service is horrible. The last time I got stuck in the drive-through for almost 30 minutes and my order was wrong. I came today. I asked for a plain hamburger and they gave me a cheeseburger. I came back to the store so they can remake the burger. Never tried this place before but our friends told us about it so of course we had to try it. We all got cheeseburgers, and we also got their chili cheese fries. The cheeseburger was really tasty, the onions were a little soggy, the lettuce was fresh the bun was a bit soft yet firm at the same time. Sunday, April 13, 2025, 1:00 pm. Just finished our last shopping run and decided to go to Tommy's at Imperial & Beach. They had their $3.49 double chili cheeseburger or chili dog promotion happening. It was a good time to visit this location as I've never been to this one. We ordered takeout via the drive thru. There was only a single car at the pickup window. Always remember to announce that you're ordering the promotional item. If you don't tell them, you'll be charged full price. My son and I got two each. I got mine with the lettuce wraps. Service was great. The order was repeated back and the total given. At the window we were offered yellow Chile peppers and ketchup. The bag included napkins and a single fork. It took a few minutes to make the burgers. I was handed bag of burgers and off we went. This location is newer so it was very clean looking compared to the OGs in LA. read more

Bad customer service. I told them I wanted the breakfast sandwich and a coffee. The coffee was supposed to be free because the Instagram special. The woman working there didn't believe me so she made me pull up the Instagram. The Instagram was playing music and then she told me it was too loud...... I'm not trying to play music for her. I'm trying to show her the date. All the workers were really cool except for her. I really love this Tommy's because it's the closest one to me and I come here a lot in the drive-through. I'm really disappointed. It wasn't a good experience. It didn't make me feel good. Made me feel like I'm here to try to rip them off and stuff why would I do that? I love this place I grew up going here. I grew up going to the original. I grew up going to the one in La Habra up by La Habra high school and it was there. I would rather drive all the way to the Tommy's in Eagle Rock before I ever come back here. I gave this location many visits and each time, it finds new ways to disappoint. Never again.... 1. Service -need better training 2. Food- Employees need to get orders correct 3. Ambience- there is none. Its always empty and the orders still take 20- 30 minutes in the drive-thru. I've been coming to Tommy's since I was in high school, 40 years ago. They are open late with some locations open 24 hours to satisfy my cravings. Quarter pound chili cheese burger with chili cheese fries and a drink. The food at Tommy's always brings me back to my younger days. The chili is famous and can't be beat. A burger, fries, or hot dog smothered in their chili and cheese is simply blissful. Ambiance is burger stand standard with some nostalgia thrown in for good measure. The Tommy's of today are very reminiscent of the Tommy's from 40 years ago, not to sound like they need updating, because it worked back then and it still works today. read more

The fries are just over priced 3/8s inch fries from Cisco. They have become an over priced tourist trap, that has forgot about there main customers. read more

Out of all the Tommy's Locations, this by far is the cleanest, organized and best location. My go-to order is the Chili Cheese Fries with well done fries, and added chopped tomatoes and onions. First time there was a couple months ago, and im still going there! Their burgers are stellar, and their frys are basic BUT in a great way. When you eat a steak fry you expect a bit more potatoe and these deliver. My one note is sometimes they are out of ranch as a side, but otherwise this place is awesome. They're really just blob food, not sure how else to describe it. I believe my love for pickles, onions, and chili fries has me ignoring my taste buds that are screaming, "Why tf?" Am I eating this?" The side of the onion and pickles we ordered were very "left out a long time" looking. The patty is as thin as a slice of cheese. The tomato is thicker than the patty. There is no separate favor. Everything is just bland, greasy with no purpose. I really can't afford to eat here.. lol health wise. So I'm not sure if I'll return. Tried to look past the reviews, everyone is right about the service. Way too slow for a Tommy's, literally put in a pickup order 10 minutes in advance. They served pickup orders that came after me and took 10 minutes for an order I put in ahead 10 minutes ago. Just do drive through if it's not bad they'll make you wait long times for no reason inside. (They get timed to make the orders in drive through so they'll actually take care of you fast in the drive through.) Great food just need more staff or a better system for the staff. Tommy's does not take 20 minutes to make especially for a pickup order. read more

Went for their 80th anniversary ,waited 3hrs in line. Line wasn't moving so I went to the register, and asked why the line wasn't moving, they told me that the system had crashed and,they failed to inform all the customers in line that they would not be taking anymore orders. I have good memories of Tommy's as my high school BFF and I used to hang out at a Tommy's. The food is the same as before (consistent) and I'm a fan of the chili but I know Tommy's can be a love it or hate it experience. Got the chili dog (again) and finally tried the breakfast burrito tonight. Breakfast is served ALL day - woo hoo! The chilli dog is a mess to eat but the dogs here have a good snap to them and the chili, mustard, pickles, onions and tomato work well together for me. The breakfast burrito was really hot for a long time (how did it stay that hot for so long???) but I enjoyed it. Eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, chili and a deep fried hash brown all wrapped in a flour tortilla. We've been going to this location for a few years... no big issue until tonight! I just spent $27 on food and the chili cheese fries were cold like the fries were sitting out for a while. When I asked to have one of them re-made fresh, the guy said no problem... but then at the window he took them and came back to say the manager said they were half eaten! A total lie! The jerk manager hid in the back office and made the employee do his dirty work! The manager should have come to the window and lied to my face about the fries being half eaten. You just lost a customer! I suggest people go to the Norwalk location instead. Look at the container. "Half eaten" means the container is actually half empty! You can see the clean cardboard that has no chili grease stains on some of the inside area. If the thing was made right (the normal full portion), the chili grease would be everywhere inside the box container. read more

I tried this location for the first time after I discovered 405 freeway location 12 years ago. Noticed so clean and stands out the logo sign on the Beach Blvd in La Habra. I expected the same qualities like before and ordered our fave chili fries and triple cheese chili burger. I tried my fries first and I said right away super soggy, the chili taste is almost a paste like very chunky bean paste. I can't feel any chili taste at all. Oh! No! So dissapointed. I asked my hubby, how's your triple burger? He liked it. But he didn't say yummy. Overall, we expected a lot but the original taste was changed. I can only give 2 stars.
