The texture was on point though, wish they were flavorful. Taco size: the tortillas are the very small street size. We did see someone get served asada fries which were huge and looked good, I'd swap the meat out. Cleanliness: The store, meat market and restaurant were all clean. Would we return? If there is an actual emergency at nearby businesses, police, fire or ambulance won't be able to respond because of this chaotic traffic jam their drive thru is causing. It's like a game to this staff, it's like they're trying to do this for fun. I'm sure they're not doing this on purpose but on the other side of the coin, read all of their recent reviews, it sure looks like a game to them. On the evening of October 1, 2026, I spent approximately two hours trapped in the drive-thru at the Fernley Taco Bell. I understand that 8:00 p.m. is part of the dinner rush, so I expected some delay. What I did not expect was a situation that became so disorganized that, in my opinion, it created an actual public-safety hazard. When I finally reached the speaker, I was told that the restaurant was not accepting cash or card payments and that customers could only order through the Taco Bell mobile app or DoorDash. There was no sign or warning before entering the drive-thru explaining this. A simple sign stating, "Mobile and DoorDash orders only -- no cash or card payments currently accepted," could have prevented much of what happened. Instead, customers continued entering a drive-thru they effectively could not use, and once inside, there was no practical way to leave. The backup became enormous. At one point, the line extended toward AutoZone, while a second line formed across the street into the Grocery Outlet parking lot. Cars were blocking the street completely. The two lines essentially formed a "Y," with drivers competing to merge into the same drive-thru. What a nightmare. During the roughly two hours I was stuck there, I personally counted at least four near-collisions behind me, cars honking and witnessed one road-rage confrontation where the 2 lines merged into 1. Traffic flow was being blocked, people were trying to get out, but blocked by other impatient people protecting their spot, drivers were becoming increasingly frustrated, and customers who finally reached the speaker were furious when they learned that normal payment methods were not being accepted. Several people were yelling profanities at the employees. I actually felt bad for the employees dealing with that situation. If employees truly are not permitted to put up a temporary sign warning customers, then management or corporate policy needs to change immediately. If they simply chose not to warn customers, that is even more concerning. Either way, the result was the same: a restaurant's drive-thru problem spilled into surrounding traffic and created what appeared to me to be a legitimate safety issue. I will also accept responsibility for staying in line after realizing something was obviously wrong. I had just finished a stressful day at work, really wanted a Mexican Pizza, and kept thinking the line would eventually start moving. That was my mistake. Unfortunately, this was not my first strange experience at this location. A few months earlier, I went there for breakfast and the employee at the speaker politely told me, essentially, that she was not ready for a customer and suggested I go to Burger King instead. She was polite about it, but the situation was so unusual that I remembered it. After what happened on October 1, however, this has gone beyond simply being poor customer service. When a drive-thru backup is interfering with surrounding traffic, drivers are nearly colliding, road-rage incidents are occurring, and customers are effectively trapped for extremely long periods of time before learning they cannot even purchase food normally, someone needs to address the operation of this location. Read the other reviews and decide for yourself. There appears to be a long-running customer-service problem at this location, and after what I witnessed on October 1, I believe it has reached the point where management, Taco Bell corporate, and potentially local authorities should determine whether changes are necessary to prevent another dangerous traffic situation. Their customer service is so bad that at this point it is an ongoing public safety issue. Somebody is going to get hurt or killed from this one day if no changes are made. Pedestrians walking by have to zig-zag around a bunch of cars carefully trying not to get hit. Cars are playing chicken with each other. This mess was embarrassing. After this experience, I will not be returning to any taco bell ever again in life over this level of carelessness and incompetence. On this visit, the young lady (teenager or early 20s, blonde) taking drive-thru orders was exceptionally pleasant, clear, and professional. She explained the process, apologized for having us pull forward to wait, and thanked us throughout each interaction. Even with what appeared to be a busy period, she remained friendly, patient, and genuinely courteous. It was one of the best drive-thru customer service experiences I've had in quite some time. Unfortunately, I wasn't the driver, so I couldn't see her name tag to recognize her personally. She truly deserves recognition for the outstanding service she provided.

The whole 1.5 hour ordeal was frustrating and confusing. How does kfc run out of chicken before 4:30 pm? How does they say they're out of chicken and then say they do have chicken in the same sentence? This is confusing. The Fernley location usually takes about 20-30 minutes to get your food but this was ridiculous.

(Some slices had less pep and vegetables) In Fernley, only a couple of places offer something similar. Pizza Factory is another favorite, especially with their Hot Honey drizzle. We also enjoy Pizza Hut's Personal Pan Pizzas--they're the perfect size for a quick meal. Their daily deals and weekly specials make them an even better value, so we find ourselves ordering there fairly often. Delivery provided by DoorDash the PHut app.

Since I already had a discount, my concern wasn't the cost or a refund--it was the responsibility to let customers know what they're being served. Unfortunately, the salad ruined my appetite. We later returned and had a much better experience. Abbi and Cassandra were pleasant, and Deven provided excellent service. This takes me to the city of Fernley, NV (about 30 minutes east of Reno) where I had the opportunity in trying out "Ranch House Restaurant". This restaurant is adjacent to the "Silverado Casino" which is only a small handful of operating casinos in the Fernley area. We were both very hungry as we ventured through South Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and Virginia City, our appetite grew as the evening went on. After checking into our nearby hotel (which was luckily 1/3 mile from here) and getting washed up, we made it to the restaurant at around 7:15pm on Friday 6/19/2026. Upon entry, the interior layout looks straight out of the 1970's complete with posh booth seating, wood panels, and brick walls in a very spacious dining area. This is quite reminiscent of the old school casino restaurants in the more prominent Reno casino restaurants; mainly Silver Legacy and Nugget. Once seated, we were given two menus and requested an iced water (for myself) and a Diet Coke (for her). One minor drawback which could be a make it or break it for many is that the internal temperature of this restaurant was quite cold. My guess is that it was only around 66°F so if you plan to dine-in, come dressed accordingly! I will say that the menu is quite extensive with ton of options to choose from. This includes appetizers, all-day breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a lot of excellent entrée choices. After making my way through the entire menu of options, I settled with the "Grilled Salmon" entrée (priced at $18.99). This consisted of a house salad, a 6 oz. filet drizzled with balsamic glaze, steamed veggies (mainly zucchini and squash), and I opted for a baked potato (that came with butter & sour cream). She chose their "Old Fashioned Cheeseburger" (priced at $12.99) which came with lettuce, tomato, pickle, & onion on a brioche bun. She opted for cheddar as her choice of cheese and the burger came with a side of seasoned steak fries. Total time took roughly 15 minutes from when we placed our orders to when we received our food. I will say this; the food here is quite delicious. My salmon was a very thick cut and at less than $20 for a salad and full entrée, you absolutely get your moneys worth. The veggies had excellent texture while my baked potato was piping hot. This isn't a 5-star dining experience with a very no-frills atmosphere but it is your above average casino food that is eerily similar to other restaurants that are adjacent to casinos that I've dined at over the decades. Our waitress, Cassandra was very polite and professional while the ambiance, price, and food was definitely above average. My rating for "Ranch House Restaurant" in Fernley, NV is a respectable four stars.

Bring it to their attention and the manager starts rolling her eyes, due to her staffs incompetence to read, putting the blame on the customer. Her response was to make a 6-inch, to make up for the missing half, my response was to please remake the whole sandwich as it's cleary hard as a rock. She had the audacity to look me straight in the face and said "NO", which is an unacceptable response in the food service industry. Customer Service is half the job, along with making the sandwich correctly, if you can't do either of those, you don't deserve to be a manager. Rant over, go to Main steet Subway if you want a pleasant experience, they got it going on over there.
