    Szechuan beef
    Toni R.

Stopped in for some takeout since I saw they had Lanzhou beef noodle on the menu (rare find in Reno lol) but I decided to order the Szechuan beef instead. Huge portion and loaded with veggies like water chestnut, broccoli, bamboo, and black fungus. Service was also really quick and I was out in 10 minutes. Very tasty and I will definitely be coming back!

This was my first time to Legends Bay Oyster & Sushi bar. We had some guests from the Bay Area and…read morethey wanted sushi. Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The tables were about 30% capacity and even with that, the order to service gap was fairly long. Our server was pleasant and willing to explain how the player's card program worked. Would I come back for sushi here? Sure, but I better be hungry to get full value from the all you can eat.

After learning they only offer the brunch buffet 3 times…read morea year (Easter, Mothers Day, & Fathers Day) we decided to try the buffet as it would be the last one since until Easter 2027. The staff and restaurant were lovely as always, and you really can't beat the views from dining on the outdoor patio overlooking the Marina. If you have general hesitations when it comes to buffet food, you can put them at ease when at the Water Bar, as even the typical 'filler food' like salad and mashed potatoes were out-of-this-world good. I'm not kidding when I say their buffet-style Caesar Salad was better than any made-to-order Caesar I've had. Same goes for their garlicy mashed potatoes, they were heavenly! The poached prawns were prepared perfectly, and the snow crab legs and claws were delicious and easy to eat (if you're used to shelling your own crab). The soy-glazed salmon with wild rice was surprisingly flavorful and melted in my mouth. Even the mac & cheese was rich and creamy- I can't think of a single item I tried that was sub-par. I ended the meal with a slice of carrot cake that I kept thinking about long after I left. It was moist and well-spiced with a very decadent frosting, the perfect end to a delicious brunch. I will say, we weren't aware the cost per person for the buffet was $80 (it wasn't displayed on the buffet menu, our server didn't share this when telling us about the buffet, and we didn't ask). We have no regrets on opting for the brunch buffet, as again all the food was truly incredible. However, an $80 price tag will likely keep us from opting for the brunch buffet again in the future.

We decided to sit on the patio inspite of it being a very hot day. They have made some well needed update to the "outdoor" seating since the last time I was here. It is now enclosed wth glass and huge umbrellas to provide shade. It was definitely warm, but the view of the Marina is always worth it. We were seated right away and were given menus to peruse while they brought our drinks - no "Wet Woody" so iced tea and an Arnold Palmer fit the bill. The glasses are bottomless - a definite plus. We shared an order of deep-fried Zucchini with dipping sauce. Most excellent. My friended ordered the Dungeness Crab Cakes and I got the Teriyaki Salmon Salad. Both were good. My salad was huge! I had enough left over to take for lunch. Our service was good, a little slow in getting the Arnold Palmer, but otherwise all went well. Chris and Tomas were our servers. Yes, it is worth a return visit.

I can't believe I haven't updated my review…read more Brought a friend here for dinner. There were three of us. My friend and I had the 6-oz Filet Mignon USDA. I got mine with caramelized onions, baked potato, and fresh veggies. We both got it medium rare. She got hers topped with Point Reyes Blue Cheese crumbles. Her daughter got Filet of Petrale Sole Meuniere. First came a basket of bread. But, two of us are gluten-free. The Waiter made a point to check with the kitchen on all our meals. The steak came out smelling like garlic. It looked so much better than the picture I posted. It was so tender it cut with a butter knife. The color of the steak inside was perfect medium rare. The flavor on the taste buds is what dreams are made of. Some meals we remember for a lifetime. Because every bite is just that scrumptious. I can still almost taste it by just thinking about it. For dessert, we got the classic Bananas Foster, which is made tableside. It is dinner and a show. Bananas Foster is such a decadent treat. The show begins with the melting of the butter, and the aroma will still your breath away. Then add in the brown and white sugars. Several alcohols are used. I believe they use Banana liquor as well as rum. Then a fire is lit in the pan. It sparks when the cinnamon is added. Then the bananas are cooked ever so lightly. Sometimes, too much liqueur is added, and the flavor is off. However, on this night, it was spot on. The sugars and liqueur create a caramel sauce for the bananas, and vanilla ice cream is added. The ice cream that was used tasted like a French Vanilla ice cream with little flecks of vanilla. Each bite was a walk on a cloud. My friends had never had Bananas Foster before. I think they will be back if only for the Bananas Foster. The bananas and caramel with a kiss a vanilla ice cream just send your taste buds to heaven. Each bite will have you desiring more, even if you are beyond full. Each bite is so divine. It tastes so decadent that your mind will be blown that it is bananas and vanilla ice cream. I can't remember the name of our waiter. He was such a delight and made sure we had a great time. This was a meal I will remember for a long time. Thank you to the staff at Duke's Steakhouse. If you are looking for a luxurious and decadent dinner, this is the restaurant.

We went back at 4:40pm as instructed and still plenty of room in the bar, but yet they still would not see us. It wasn't until I asked if we could just sit down and we would wait for the service even if they were behind at that point, they allowed us to sit at the bar and we were waited on right away with no issue. Adrian knows us and we are very good customers there. I think some things changed in management, Kevin the waiter who has been there since it opened is no longer there and you could feel a different vibe going on in the restaurant. The happy hour menu has changed and my husband's favorite Chardonnay is no longer included, but Adrian bought him a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc which was very tasty for $8. Adrian is a wonderful bartender and we enjoy his service! Sad to hear Jenna moved on too! Why is it all the good people leave, but then you have Quincy at the chandelier bar yelling at customers, not serving customers, telling you he won't serve her until it's convenient for him. Thank goodness Larry was working at the sports bar after happy hour! He is a great guy and works so hard for the casino and his customers!

What we ordered: The whole octopus A mixed seafood tostada One fish taco I was very surprised at how delicious the octopus was. It was a little on the oily side, but it came to the table sizzling. It was tender and delicious. My wife really liked the fish taco. And my son enjoyed the tostada. One thing that was interesting, the salsa. The chips and salsa they gave you, the salsa was extremely spicy. I can take some heat, but I can only have a little bit of it. The fish taco came with some salsa Verde, and it was even spicier than the red.... Not sure if it was just a batch thing or if they just serve extremely spicy salsa. This place is a little bit on the expensive side, but we really did enjoy the food in the service. We will definitely return to try some of the other seafood!

Time tax: Unless you are rolling with someone in a higher tier of the players club you are going to wait. Sad but true, Maybe I was at fault for arriving as late as I did around 7:20pm but I wasn't sat until closer to 8:30. The line was peculiar. So many people skipped ahead. There was only one person at the register. Occasionally the nice blonde manager lady would come over and ring a few parties up, the line went fast for a few seconds, but the chap at the register only worked fast when the manager came by. Otherwise he took his sweet time, he'd only rush if another VIP waiting to skip the line showed up. It was often, this buffet is popular and the skippers show up in force, especially late. Server Attention Tax: the servers on a normal day work hard, they close at 9:00, they warn you when 9 approaches and it's a wrap, on the seafood buffet days they are not motivated, because they stay late. They act like they aren't getting paid for the extra time. I sat down around 8:25 and no one took my drink order till like 8:40. I was worried I would get a single plate but to my surprise they didn't shut down shop right at 9:00 in fact they were still seating people. So that was cool. But the servers are in no rush. I don't want to get all Mr. Rogers about it, but if you get me my beverages sooner, I'll get out of your hair sooner, you are literally prolonging your own suffering here. The seafood Tax Rebate: the seafood is good, fresh fish, crab legs and all the regular sides. Crab is offered seasoned crab boil style or plain steamed, make sure to wander around. Overall: I love to eat good, I'm not crazy about flights, hotels or hardware stores because I don't think value necessarily is affected by where you go. (There are a few exceptions) I think service flavors cuisine, Here the service isn't adding a respectively great flavor. Sure if you spend a lot of money here you should get some priority but even Vegas doesn't forget about the little guy. I felt sorry for the people with kids in the line. Even though my server was slower than forest growth I still tipped them. But like value lost the taste was unpleasant. If you don't like being exposed to prejudice I assure you the 'regular line' WILL make you feel like you have no civil rights. But if you're able to suffer all that for a few rounds of delicious crab then you should go right on ahead, don't let me stop you
