Cute little spot kinda tucked away and easy to miss but is a local favorite. They are open till 2pm and serve mainly breakfast and have lunch options. The food feels like home cooking and the portions are quite sizeable the price does reflect this. So it's spendy compared to your regular chain. I've been here 2 separate times while traveling through Bend and feel this is a must stop for the early bird looking for something that tastes good and is probably better for you then a McMuffin. read more

Go here! We got in at 9am and there was no wait. We had the Palmer Scramble and Banana Nut Waffle that was amazing. Everything was clean and the service was very friendly. There isn't anything we would have changed about this experience. It is tucked in the back of a driveway for the motel and kind of hard to see from the main road. We just passed it and took a right at the next block and walked. I would recommend going this as the parking lot was kind of small anyway. read more

This place is a delicious hidden gem! It's family owned and operated, definitely has that feel as well. It's like a local spot in a motel parking lot, but don't let that stop you. Everything we ordered was fresh, tasty, and priced well. When we first pulled up and saw the location, my husband was ready to go eat some where else and I'm sure glad we didn't. Service was 5 star, we were greeted right when we walked in. Sat right away. They even gave my kids a coloring books to color on while we waited for the food. The server mentioned the specials of the day and recommended some of her favorites. I love when servers give their input especially when I'm somewhere new. So disappointing! After hearing wonderful things about this place, my husband and I snuck away for a day date...excited to get some yummy food. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, then took about 10 minutes to get menus and water! We asked for lemons and straws for our water, got lemons, no straws. Waited some more to get our order taken...and while we waited a total of an HOUR after initially being seated to get our food, we heard others around us complaining about the wait and then cold food upon arrival. My husband got his burger first...decent, but not a big deal....while I waited 5 more minutes to get my meal of chicken fried steak, eggs, potatoes. Zero flavor, grisly steak, just gross. Runny scrambled eggs, cold potatoes. We even had to ask for silverware and wait some more. Such an AWFUL experience. We will not be back. read more

This place is pretty good. The food is standard fare but done well. The service is prompt and friendly. The parking lot is far too small but there is some slight street parking available nearby. Naturally it's a small building but they do have more area they can open for a large group. Call ahead if there is more than 5 (personal recommendation based on average table size) or you might have to stand in the doorway/outside for a while. My husband and I are always on the look out for new breakfast/brunch places. We went to Rockin' Daves right next door and were not that impressed, and we read about Palmer's so we thought we would give it a try. We went on a Sunday around 9 am, and for those of you who know how it is on weekends for breakfast...we did not have to wait very long to get seated. They were fully staffed and everyone was eager to help all tables, especially when it came to keeping coffee in our cups. We split a denver omelette with avocado and hotcakes on the side ; it was more than enough and very yummy. We will definitely be going back! Thanks to Yelp we tried this wonderful little hideaway. The staff is very warm and welcoming, great start. Water and coffee were promptly served and I must say the coffee was very good. (I just do basic black nothing added) We all ordered different things and enjoyed them all. The biscuit and gravy, eggs benedict and Palmer scramble- delicious! I don't understand the hype. I came here based on a recommendation from our air bnb hosts and Yelp reviews. It's in the corner of a run down motel and the inside wasn't much better. The service was very slow- I'm assuming because they were understaffed. The food was alright... potatoes were extremely bland and they were out of Bloody Mary mix. Palmer's used to be one of my favorites and something has changed Since they sold it. There was a nat in my mimosa which I ordered because if I wanted a Bloody Mary it was going to be "awhile"because they were out of Zing Zing. I am assuming that is a mix and I asked what awhile meant, was it never because they were out or was someone on the way to get more?? It took awhile to take our food order when it wasn't very busy and there were many servers working, one of the 3 meals came by itself with the toast barely toasted and the cheese not melted, then the other 2 came but without the French fries which came later. There was never an offer of a coffee refill and when the continuous nats were brought up we were told "well they just started today" not sorry about that. I hope they can turn this around. read more

Don't let the outside and parking lot fool you. It's in a small roadside motel but is roomy and quaint inside. Clean tables, similar to ones you'd find in a home. Decorated like a home kitchen. Selection of food is great. You can pig out or get just enough depending on the selection you make. Choice of bacon! Peppered, applewood, or traditionally cured. The English muffins are great, too. The potatoes are the hashed kind with a tasty pan crust on them. Friendly staff, good coffee and quick service. EAT HERE! read more

I have heard great things about Palmers and decided to give them a try. Usually when we drive by the lot is full and we keep on driving. We got here early, got a good spot and only the second ones in there. The waitress Gretchen was extremely nice and made us feel like we were eating at home. My daughter was given a small fruit and cheerio plate which made the experience even better. I asked the waitress her recommendation and should have followed it. I went rogue and ordered a burrito. My daughter had eggs and sausage. They were fast to get the food out. The presentation was nice. It smelled fabulous. After the first few bites I really wasn't feeling it. The ingredients were fresh and the veggies cooked perfectly. The meat to me was really gross. It almost tasted like dog food and had a very strange consistency. It also had a funky after taste. The people who came in after us had food that looked amazing. I would normally give this a two or three star. I think I just didn't like it. I will defiantly go back and try something different. That's why I gave them 4 stars. The price was excellent and the service took them over the top. I will have to try something else next time. Give them a try. Ordered food for delivery using Bend Take Out. I got the breakfast burrito. It was described as having salsa and sour cream rolled into the burrito and was supposed to come with a side of guacamole. When it showed up, there was no sour cream, no sausage, no guacamole. The salsa was just dumped into the take out container onto the burrito making the outside of the burrito soggy. It was basically just a $12 potato burrito with some onions. I'm sure if it had come with all the proper ingredients, it would have been good. But without them it was just dry and bland. read more

Gone there twice now and love it. The amounts of food you get is ginormous and delicious to boot. The service gets 10 stars!!! We had to wait a little extra time to get seated, and I think he was one of the owners, but he felt bad and gave us a 10% discount on our tab for making us wait. Now that's what I call attentive service!! The omlettes are on point and their biscuits and gravy are just amazing. Only get the full order of biscuits and gravy if you're starving. One of my favorite breakfast spots in Bend. The gal who owns the place is super sweet and friendly. I love the biscuit and gravy with the scrambled egg on top and their bacon is some of the best. They offer two types. Peppered or maple. My other favorite is the breakfast quesadilla. The owner mentioned it was her favorite too and that she used to make it for her grandfather when she was a young girl. Kind of cool! On weekends I've noticed coffee and sweet bread being served out front while you wait to be seated. The place is clean and the servers are genuine. Second of all, parking, YIPES! Good luck with that. Pfft!!! But after parking it's all good. You have to wait? No big deal, there's coffee set up outside. Thank you Palmer's. Oh and you will most likely have to wait because despite being advertised as the best kept secret in town... it's not... everybody knows about this place! There's seating inside and out. Waitstaff is super-friendly. Service was prompt. Coffee cup was always full. Food was really good. Sunny-side-up eggs were perfectly cooked - no raw egg white - a lot of places mess that up. Buckwheat pancakes were very nice, not too heavy. Buttermilk pancakes were so freaking fluffy! Hollandaise sauce was very nice but there was too much of it. Yes, there can be too much hollandaise sauce. I've told several of my friends about Palmer's and they've all been, continue to go, and tell all their friends. Fantastic. The wifey and I drove into Bend from Sunriver get a late breakfast and settled on a small, hole-in-the-wall cafe. You won't believe it until you try it. The omelette wasn't what I'm familiar with, apparently, I've been eating dirt labeled "omelette" my whole life because this changed my perspective on stuffed eggs. The sausage patty seemed expensive but it looked and tasted like it was plucked straight from the branches of the sausage tree. Just average at best. We were excited to try a new breakfast house and left really disappointed. The food was just so bland !!! The portions were big, the eggs and potatoes were good, but the chicken fried steak was flavorless. It looked amazing and was cooked perfectly, but no flavor at all. My wife had the Eggs Benidict and it was ok. The sauce was so heavy it ruined the dish. Trust me... I'm no expert, but I know what I like for breakfast this isn't it. Final note... Looks tiny but has a rabbit warren of rooms inside the clean well appointed cafe. DH had the excellent chili verde burrito, I had the strawberry blintz, eggs and bacon special, beyond delicious but could have used more mouths to demolish the three huge and yummy blintzes. We went out of our way to find a good breakfast in Bend and chose this spot because of the good yelp reviews, which I'm having a hard time understanding. It was so disappointing. Incredibly bland, rubbery omelette with no flavor and one piece of hard avocado. No espresso drinks which was annoying for a breakfast spot. Opted for cheap Lipton tea. Toast never delivered. Server was nice and didn't charge us for one meal. But the whole thing set the day off poorly. Should have stuck with free hotel breakfast. read more

Well, I accidentally ate here thinking it was a different restaurant (daves rockin bagel bistro, bc it is right next door.) The outside of the building is not really clearly marked, so we sat at a table, and realized it was Palmers when I was handed a menu, but was not going to leave bc thats rude, so we decided to stay for breakfast. I ordered the banana but french toast, and I was pleasantly surprised! The bread was so tasty and freshly made. We sat on the patio with the dog, which is a huge plus for me. This place is very local dinner-ish and it doesn't look the nicest, but the food and service were surprisingly good. i would recommend for breakfast. read more
