Every dish was a masterpiece, bold and elegant, comforting and exciting all at once. This is vegan food that doesn't whisper or apologize--it commands the room. The flavors were layered, intentional, and downright magical. Each plate arrived like a work of art, and somehow tasted even better than it looked. I kept thinking, there is no way the next dish can top this--and yet, it always did. Plant proves, without question, that vegan cuisine can be indulgent, luxurious, and unforgettable. And then... the dessert. I am not exaggerating when I say it deserves its own standing ovation. Rich, decadent, perfectly balanced--one bite and time stopped. If happiness had a flavor, this would be it. I would return to Plant for dessert alone, without a second thought. Plant is hands-down the best vegan restaurant in Asheville. It's passion, creativity, and excellence on a plate. If you haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out on something truly special. This is the kind of place that ruins other restaurants for you--in the best possible way.

"Plant is food" - yup. Definitely is. If you're looking for THE vegan restaurant to go to in…read moreAsheville, you've found it. I'm not vegan but I can appreciate making plant-based food the highlight of a meal. Plant has created a multi-flavor, multi-cultural menu which has you surprised to what's to come next. Each bite has a unique depth of flavor. Some vegan foods that I've tried has a tendency to be over salted or seasoned or just hides behind some type of soy-based protein for texture and to try to be something it's not. I can happily say plant has dodged this with ease We got the Cauliflower, Roasted Beets, Broccolini (seasonal, not pictured sorry), Cheese Board (not pictured ... sorry again), and The Curry.Honestly have fun with the menu, there was nothing that missed. I would say most definitely get the Cheese Board. It came with a unique set of cheeses with different flavors and textures. How do you age a cashew cheese?!?! It came with a nice assortment of pickled veggies, fruits, gluten free bed, and olives. Nice and big too If you couldn't already, I loved my experience here. Perfect ambiance for a date night too! So bring someone special (you and yourself most definitely count too)

Google calls it "American" cuisine, which is basically the one cuisine I don't do, but this place does offer some nice vegetarian options. Wanting to save some room for my food tour, I got a salad with a veggie skewer on top, but I did indulge in some lentil fritters. Fried bean paste is always a winner (technically lentils are not beans). The fritters were savory and the clash between their freshly fried texture and the cool dill-flavored dipping sauce and mixed pickled vegetables was quite robust. My salad delivered the promised crunch, and the shiitake shishito kabob had a wide variety of freshly barbecued vegetables, but unlike my appetizer this dish was missing an extra flavor touch. The drink and dessert selection looked good, but I like to spread myself around. I would definitely want to come back and eat outside on a warmer day.

We shared the Irish coffee (perfect on a icy cold day), chili soup (its soup...not thick chili) and the platter with steak rice and beans and slaw! It was perfection. Tasty, warm in the tummy and lots of good flavors. Service was very good, wait staff was attentive and gave good input when asked. Definitely recommend this little spot. During the warmer weather I am sure the patio is the spot to be. It was 23° so we stayed inside. Come! Be merry.
