Everything at Crusco was fantastic-excellent use of local ingredients. . From the greeter to the server to the delicious menu, I will definitely be back. The interior is quaint and utilizes the small space perfectly. We had the arancini which was reminiscent of stuffing, the wilted green with peanuts which provided a pop and crunch, the caramelle which is a filled pasta like a candy wrapper, and then the crispy chicken thigh with beans and root vegetables. Not one component was out of place and everything was quite tasty. I sure do miss Cucina 24 but this new venture put a big smile on my face.

Horrible fish dinner. You could smell the rancid fish as the server was walking by. Saturday night 7pm place was half full. Maybe there is a reason why it's half full. We buy fish from Mother Ocean and it never smells.

Had a nice dinner experience last night at Crusco. The food was delicious & the service was on point. The buttered daiquiri was so good & I enjoyed everything we ordered. I love that their menu changes with the seasons. The only thing to note about the atmosphere is that it was oddly very loud in the dining room.

I had been wanting to try this new restaurant after hearing so many great things, and my friend and I finally decided to give it a try. We booked an early reservation at 5:30, right when they opened. There weren't many patrons when we arrived, but by the time we left, the place was a full house--every table seemed to be filled. Our waiter was absolutely amazing. He spent so much time answering all our questions about the menu and truly made the experience special. My friend ordered a non-alcoholic Phony Negroni, and I said I would just stick with water. He quickly offered to make a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail, and even though I don't remember what he called it or what was in it, it was unbelievably good. We started by sharing the Radishes with cultured butter. The radishes were crisp and full of flavor. Next, we chose the Beets and Carrots salad--the beets were cooked to perfection, and every bite was pure deliciousness. For our entrées, my friend ordered the Agnolotti and I chose the Campanelle. I tasted the Agnolotti and it was fantastic, but I absolutely loved the Campanelle--pasta in a light tomato sauce with perfectly cooked shrimp. It was outstanding. For dessert, we decided to share the Chocolate Pot de Crème with orange (I may not be saying it exactly as listed on the menu). It was heavenly--silky smooth chocolate with a hint of orange, topped with cookie crumbles and nuts. An unforgettable ending to a wonderful meal. If you have the chance, go dine with them--I promise you won't be disappointed. We split the bill at about $65 each, including the tip, and it was worth every penny.

I love the whole sad but also beautiful origin story and concept of Crusco The food was fantastic, I felt everything was in a way risky and challenging but high-level, minimalist, and super tasty; all under the honorable overarching theme of making locally sourced ingredients the main protagonist The interior is very cozy and simple which we appreciated. Staff was really nice to us and knowledgeable Cocktails are also great This place is new and I bet it will be on JBeard and Michelin shortlists soon, you can tell the've been ambitious in the best way possible and I hope they keep it that way Good luck Crusco, we hope to come back soon!

Crusco is a new restaurant at the River Arts District, in the spot where Vivian used to be. If you used to go to Cucina 24, you will be delighted to see many familiar faces there. We went for the soft opening and sat at the covered patio. Here is what we had: Yellowtail crudo, with a fresh crunchy fennel relish. Delicious. Spanish Tortilla with creme fraiche and caviar. So good, with a generous amount of good quality caviar. Tomatoes with eggplant and garum. This was such a bright summer dish. Greens in chicken broth with cipollini. I'm already craving this dish. Spaghetti with clams. Just perfect. Fried pork chop with cabbage, with a delicious vadouvan sauce. Desserts: Steamed cheesecake with a fresh berry sorbet and the Bundt cake with peach and whipped cream. Both really good. Service was impeccable and super friendly. You can taste and feel the love put into the dishes and the space. I can't wait to go back.

It was not overly busy, but definitely on the noisy side, which was expected due to all the hard surfaces. It could get loud if it was busy. I was greeted promptly, and my server arrived moments after I sat down. I ordered the Miso soup, a Red Blossom roll with tempura shrimp, and the Yakisoba with chicken. The miso soup was great, a 5. The red blossom roll was very good, tasty with a nice crunch from the tempura, a 4.5. The yakisoba portion was huge, it was a bit on the savory / bland side for my taste, but it's been a good 10 years since my last yakisoba, so a 3.5. I'll likely get two lunches out of the leftovers. The men's room was very clean. Overall, a four star rating. I may well be back, if so, next time I'll either get a second hand roll, or try something else. Their hibachi dishes sound interesting.

It is located in downtown Asheville so there is no immediate parking lot but there are some places nearby or street parking, The inside is very modern and there is seating both inside and outside. Our server was very friendly and service was very prompt! My family got the Lo Mein with Chicken, Chow Fun with Beef, Sautéed String Bean, Buddha Bean Curd Rolls, Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, and Spicy Chicken. I loved the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings! The wrapper was very tender and the shrimp filling was delicious. It tasted very authentic to me. I also loved the Sautéed String Bean as it had the right amount of garlicky sauce. The Lo Mein was made with thinner than usual noodles but still tasted good. I think the Chow Fun tasted a bit off. It kind of tasted a bit sweet and like drunken noodles at some points as opposed to the traditional smoky flavor that the dish has. The rice noodles that were used were also thin as opposed to the usual wider noodles. As for the Spicy Chicken, it tasted solid. I liked the slight crisp before biting into each piece and it was not really spicy. I definitely tasted the cumin (I am not a super big fan of), which is a popular flavor found in Szechuan cuisine. Overall, I think this is a nice spot for some Chinese food, especially being near the mountains which is more isolated. I would probably rate it a 3.75/5 stars if I could. I wish chicken feet were part of their dim sum menu (it is pretty small and there are no rolling carts in case anyone is wondering). I do think some flavors of the food I tasted seem to cater a bit more to the Western taste palate (my parents agree as well), but I enjoyed my time here.

It's light and filling. The ramen bowls are rich and the miso vegetarian Ramen is much more bold, flavorful than I had expected. The carrots and roots were caramelized with a sweetened hint. The ramen bowls are generous in size. I'm bookmarking this place to come back!!! The waitresses gave us several recommendations and her shows through her service and her recommendations of local shops to explore after our dinner.

It felt more personalized than what you normally expect at a restaurant. The server was cheerful and made us laugh. We ordered the house salad, which was fresh and the ginger dressing tasty. The sweet potato roll was great - crispy with a little eel sauce on top. I added cream cheese to the avocado, asparagus, cucumber roll (which happens to be my favorite roll), and they added it with ease and for a fair cost (some places scramble when I ask for this roll). The joy roll with the tofu and crunch inside was so creative and great - probably my favorite roll. Then, I love it when places have the tofu skin nigiri, and they def had a good one.
