Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming, and you could tell they cared that we were having a great experience. I found this to be the perfect balance between ordering à la carte and enjoying a fully chef-curated experience. It gives diners just enough choice while allowing the kitchen to focus on executing a thoughtfully crafted menu. That focus is evident in every dish: the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and each course was flawlessly prepared. To make the experience even better, every menu item had a thoughtfully selected wine pairing that elevated each bite. Even for someone who isn't a wine expert, the pairings made a noticeable difference. And unlike many fine dining restaurants where you pay a premium only to leave hungry, Piccolina got the portions exactly right. Each course was perfectly sized, and by the end of the meal I felt completely satisfied without being overly full (okay, maybe a little overly full haha). The front-of-house staff was exceptional--warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. The salad I tried does a fantastic job of using kale as the basis for a more complex and interesting dish, and I was wrapping it up when my pizza arrived with perfect timing. The crust charred nicely, and their sauce was strongly tangy. Between my two plates, I had a fantastic mix of tastes and aesthetics. They had a sandwich selection as well, and I wished I'd had room to try the desserts.
