Decent smoked wings. Yummy deviled eggs. Poutine was drowning in sauce. Couldn't taste the pulled pork :(

Wings and Brisket Chili with smoked cornbread was outstanding. One of our better food truck experiences. Thank you!

The joys of being a flexetarian (I don't get meat 99% of the time). I can vouch for the ribs. I have been here several times over the last 6 years. I know people I have gone with have liked what they got. The meats are a little dry, I think it is meant for you to add sauce. They do keep 5 different sauces at the tables (regular, hot, mustard, white, and vinegar). I personally am not a fan of any of them. I like the sauce on the ribs and I think to use the beans at sauce. The style is to order at the counter and they call your name to come get your tray. They are very friendly and easy to interact with. With a limited number of inside tables, sometimes you do have to clear one to use it. I don't count that against the service because you are supposed to clear your table before you leave. I think that is pretty standard at BBQ places I have been do in the past.

We had a cheeseburger, a barbecue sandwich, chicken, wings, french fries, Brunswick stew, macaroni and cheese, hush puppies, baked beans, and collard greens. The collard greens and Brunswick stew were the worst I've ever eaten in my life.

At the time we didn't realize that Roberta Flack was born in Black Mountain and the mural on the side of the historic building was in fact Roberta! When you step inside it is cozy and comfortable but we could see there was a large outdoor space as well. I stopped in at the counter and decided to order a pint of their Hazy IPA. We wandered to the outdoor space which is two levels, we explored the upstairs area first since there was a thunderstorm we thought it would be cool to watch the rain and lightning while sipping on a cold beer. We also learned there was a food trailer at the back of the property, which looks to be a permanent resident. They offer items such as pulled pork, poutine, brisket, and more. We ended up chatting with other customers and had a really enjoyable afternoon. We enjoyed our time at Black Mountain Brewing and will absolutely be back!

The first cool thing about this brewery is that it taught me that Roberta was from NC, which I did not know. So, we decided to go and immediately it took be back to the golden era of small breweries. I loved the atmosphere here, again it took me back to when craft beer was a community, and not an industry as it is today. I had a flight with the steam beer, pale ale, West Coast IPA, and barleywine. Everything was on point and very well made. My friend had the American Lager and we also tried the Czech-style lager, which ended up being my favorite. A huge plus and thank you to our bartender who brought us delicious, in-house freshly-made pork rinds! If I lived in the area, this would be my Cheers.
