Very friendly and inviting. The menu looks amazing, lots of sandwich options, salads, bowls, soups, and entrees (vegan options). We got a shrimp roll with side Greek salad and a to go Mediterranean bowl. Both were delicious, fresh, and light. Excited to come back for more.

The lettuces and other vegetables were so beautifully crisp and appetizing and the dressing was freshly made on site. The protein bowl was my entree and couldn't have been more satisfying. It too was pleasing in its presentation with its perfectly grilled kernels of corn and chicken breast on top--Just delightful and the portion was generous so I had leftovers to take home. My husband enjoyed the roasted turkey with cornbread dressing. Again the portions were plentiful and the plating showed the kitchen's pride by making sure everything looked as good it tasted. I could go on, but suffice it to say that we went back a couple of nights later. The menu is so varied, we could eat here for days without repeating an entree. Thanks, BMB!

They're definitely spicy, so not for the faint of heart. I also ordered the smoked Gouda veggie wrap with sweet potato fries. It was delicious and had a generous amount of pesto and balsamic vinegar. I ordered the pineapple coconut cake to take home for the next day, and it was fantastic! It was so light and refreshing. My server was very attentive and had excellent hospitality. I'll definitely be back at the bistro when I'm in town!

It is simply decorated on the inside and outside of the space. They have an upstairs and downstairs outdoor seating area. They also have indoor seating upstairs and downstairs. It looked like they have a little grab and go bakery / coffee spot inside. Service: The service was great. All the people we met were so friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and well maintained. Food: We were blown away by the food. I was amazed by what we ordered. My husband had their 'Monte Cristo' sandwich and LOVED it. He said it was the best sandwich he's ever had. I had their 'Catfish & Grits' which were delicious. It was packed with so much flavor. I loved the pickled onions that came on top of the dish. The catfish and grits dish hit all the tasting notes. It was sweet, savory, and a little sour with the pickled onions. I LOVED it. We will definitely be back during our trip in North Carolina. We've been to several Michelin star and recommended restaurants and Pure & Proper should be on the list!

We recently popped in yesterday after securing a reservation via Resy to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated at our table with a thoughtful handwritten card thanking us for celebrating with them! Our waitress was fantastic, and they even provided us with complimentary bubbly half pours to commemorate the milestone. Between the two of us, we split the cheeseboard, Brussels sprouts (which are so unique, and one of our favs!), and the poutine. The cheeseboard really is a nice way to kick off the meal, and highly recommend it--so many goodies to choose from. I love how Resy also allows you to specify where in the restaurant you'd like to sit depending on availability--we went with the high top nook spot, which is really special/cozy for two people. Parking is a breeze--even if their lot is full, the post office lot/tyson lot is just a short walk (and it's still not paid parking anywhere downtown).
