What bothered me was being told that another party was waiting for our specific table when what I observed afterward did not support that explanation. If there was another reason they wanted us to leave, I would have preferred simple honesty. The food was genuinely excellent, which makes the experience especially disappointing. Hospitality is about more than what is served on the plate; it is also about how guests are treated. It is very nice and clean. They let us park our stroller at the front. Restrooms: They have two single use restrooms. One has a changing pad for babies. Both of their restrooms were very clean. Service: We were warmly welcomed and served from the minute we entered Veranda. All the staff was soooo friendly and passionate about what they do. I felt right at home! You can also tell this is a place where locals go because some of the staff knew guests by name. Food: The food was fantastic. I had their 'Hungarian Mushroom Soup' which was delicious! My husband had one of their sandwiches and loved it. We will definitely back if we return to Black Mountain!
