Bowls, salad or wraps are the name of the game here. Think chipotle, but Mediterranean style. They have some portion issues between lettuce and veggie toppings, but that's me being nit picky. The service is slightly lacking, maybe we caught the crew on a bad day. But it was dead silent and we barely received responses from the team as we ordered our bowls. Some of the worst quality food I've ever been served! Was for a to go order and the icing on the cake? There was a booger squished on the lid of my to go order. General manager had dead eyes giving me a refund and actually shorted me 2$ which I had to return for. Really enjoyed my "Spicy Greens Bowl" which came with "Falafel, Crazy Feta®, Red Pepper Hummus, Fiery Broccoli, Cucumber, Lentil, Greens, Skhug, and Harissa Vinaigrette." It was highly customizable and was top-notch overall. I like harissa but switched it out for the garlic sauce, which was delish. Don't miss the skhug, which is a vibrant green sauce made from jalapeño, cilantro and several shakes of happy magic. I could drink this beautiful concoction straight up. One miss was the falafel. I've loved falafel for years and this, to be blunt, wasn't it. The texture/crunch, the flavor, the ingredients and appearance - all were wrong. Not enough to ruin my very tasty bowl but still, just dead wrong. It's a great building with an airy, welcoming vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. The staff were awesome. The location is good geographically but not great for ins from, and outs to, ever-busy Biltmore Ave./Hendersonville Rd. CAVA is a welcome addition to our restaurant lineup. Ordered online with set pickup time. Happened to arrive 20 minutes early, only to find that my order was already on the pickup rack. After leaving I found that it was already cold, so it must have been prepped 30+ minutes before the scheduled time. This was before noon and the place was not busy at all, so no excuse for this. You can't beat these flavors. I really enjoy the combos I can make by building my own bowl. It's one of those places where it's work it to pay for since to do this all yourself to have these combos would be wild. The proteins, the dips, the sauces, they all mingle together in such a wonderful way that you get a pack of what you want. Or you can also pick one of their premade bowls. The staff has been super patient. The first few times I went in as I was getting the hang of what was available. And I'm not a big drink person, but they're homemade lemonades and drinks are phenomenal. Not too sweet and taste delicious. I'd like the ability to mix them together and put a little bit of soda water on top. Mixed my own drinks too. :D I'll definitely keep coming back here perfect spot for a quick lunch with coworkers or by yourself. read more

Just think of Mediterranean Chipotle. Greek salads, lots of different chicken combination bowls. Lots of options. Food was delicious! You pick a meal they have options to add or keep off. I loved it! Its better than Chipotle dare I say. I love Mediterranean over Mexian lol. The juices are delicious try one of their specialties comparable to Panera juices but way better (juice makes a great mixer for an adult beverage later ::wink:: wink::). read more

I hate when people go to a restaurant opening week expecting everything to be amazing from the get go. I went yes they were out of some things. Yes, I was sad to not get falafel but it didn't ruin the meal. Everything tasted great and the service was standard fast casual service. It takes a few months to work out the kinks. For opening week I think they are doing great. The space is minimalist with big windows and a ton of shelves for pick up orders. I'm super excited to have a new addition to my take out rotation. I had the honey harissa chicken with a scoop of harissa, lentils, greens, hummus and all the toppings my heart desired. It was fresh, spicy, and delicious. If I could give a review negative stars I would. From what I can tell from other reviews of this location, the employees here are severely lacking training. And after my experience today, the whole company lacks quality control. I ordered online here today. When I got my food home a rather large grasshopper jumped out of my bowl after I'd taken several bites. Gross. I don't how how that happens. I tried calling the store. No luck, there's no menu options in their automated answering recording. So I tried to see if I could call the corporate office. I couldn't even find a phone number for corporate. So I drove twenty minutes back to the store with my uneaten food and the live grasshopper. The "manager" working had no idea how to handle the situation. He didn't know how to give a refund. Couldn't open the safe. Tried to offer me money from the tip jar, and offered to make a new bowl. I told him I didn't want to eat from a place where I had just gotten a live bug in my food. He told me it was no big deal, it's just a bug, probably just jumped in from outside or something. So, if you enjoy eating grasshoppers, some people might, then this is a great place for you. If you want actual customer service and insect-free food, then I'd steer clear of this place. read more

Everything needs improvement. Service, quality, quantity of food were all terrible. We went in at 9:15 pm from traveling over 3 hrs. We've had cava in plenty of locations but this was by far the worst we have ever had. When we ordered the bowls, the guy working filled it with dried up white rice and brown rice. I asked if they had any fresh rice and he stated he didn't have anymore. Then he added our chicken. When we went to the toppings, 50 or 60% of the toppings were gone. Only the cabbage, cucumbers and tomatoes were left. When we tasted the food, it was so dried up. If a restaurant doesn't have the means to provide quality food, close the doors and close the stores. This Cava is so filthy. There's food everywhere. The floors are dirty. The counters need wiping down, food containers need cleaning and refilling. It is so dirty. I hope I don't get food poisoning. The drink cooler is warm. The soda machine is filthy and not all the flavors are working. The women's bathroom is flooded. Seriously, pray we don't get food poisoning. My daughter kept telling me she was excited because it was opening in Asheville and as soon as it opened we ran to go try it. I am sad to say I was shocked at how dirty the bar looked. The people working were very sloppy and made a mess of the bar so everything looked unappetizing and not hygienic. We were in a rush and had no time to go somewhere else so we decided to stay and try the food. The food tasted good, and I am sure if it hadn't been because I was a bit grossed out by the looks of it I would've enjoyed it much more. I hope they can do something about this and keep it clean. Replaced Zoe's and has a similar menu. Kind of operates like a Mediterranean Subway - walkup and choose items for a bowl or salad meal. Greens and grains are fresh and the addons are varied and tasty. The falafel is especially good. In/out seating works but somehow the atmosphere is kind of uninspiring - too many 4 tops when so many customers are in ones and twos. Also the desserts are really lacking - way too expensive for pretty poor quality. Miss Zoe's cookies! But..still a good place for a very nice quick and fairly healthy meal. read more
