As a vegetarian, this place was a dream! The food was amazing and tasted delicious. My partner is a meat eater and she loved it! The drinks are also very strong and refreshing. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

This vegan food would make a carnivore a true believer. The service and the ambiance were fine; nothing to complain about. A bit pricey but so worth it! A special occasion place for sure. It's small and cozy inside. You're close enough to carry on a conversation with the next table. Be sure to make your reservation early if you want a table. The counter is good though if you like a ringside seat to all the action. That's where me and my friend sat and it was entertaining and we got to talk to the kitchen staff about what they were making.

Had an amazing dinner at Plant tonight! AJ took very good care of us and the food was amazing, as usual.

Multiple people recommend Plant to us during our weekend in Asheville, and we see why! I'm vegetarian and visited with a non-veg, but we both agreed the meal was fantastic! Our waitress was friendly and had good recommendations. The atmosphere of the restaurant inside was cool with low lighting and view of the kitchen. We ate outside, where it was a little calmer but just as nice. We both ordered mocktails, which were unique, fun, and tasty. We also shared the mushroom ravioli, the beet salad, and the curry - all of which were full of flavor and so good! I would definitely come back here the next time I am in town for sure!

Searching best places to visit in Asheville and saw several articles for Plant. I'm not vegan and the food was amazing with better service. The creativity and use of different textures and flavors really impressed me. The Brussels were 5/5. I would've never thought putting Brussels on a tortilla chip would make sense. Also had the curry 4/5. I'm not a curry fan but the dish was so flavorful and tasty. If you like curry you'll love it. Last entree was mushroom mole. 5/5 while the mole was not a fave for me I loved the crispy mushrooms. The drinks were 5/5 berry fizz and their homemade soda is a must try. Lastly dessert. The pumpkin blondie was crazy moist and light and the coffee gelato was the perfect pair. Definitely worth the hype!

WORTH THE HYPE! Reviews led us here, and I am so glad we journeyed the Nile from our downtown hotel to experience. We are not vegans... we like meat... so this culinary delight not only lived up to our expectations, but surpassed them. The cauliflower was incredible, but the BBQ Brussel Sprout Tostados are an experience you must have!!! They don't taste like Brussels, and the texture replicates meat: a full Mexican nachos experience on a chip. My mind is still blown. The beets were good, and the dill sauce delectable. The cheese plate is a must for those looking to share and pick and experience a wide range of flavors. The Mushroom Mole was soooo good too! We had zero room for dessert, so we will have to make a trip back to Asheville just for that. In my opinion, underpriced. Service was amazing and personable.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this vegan restaurant as a non vegan. We tried all the appetizers and didn't have room for entrees. The ravioli was a huge hit! If you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary, let them know! They make it special.

I was SO looking forward to trying purportedly one of the best, if not the best, vegan restaurants in the country. Turns out, I was left extremely disappointed!! Food: Based on the selections we chose, nothing was the flavor you would expect. Actually there was no flavor at all--bland and weird is how I would describe everything. Really everything was just bland mush. I was in disbelief how that was even possible to take the flavor out of everything--even the green garnish. Service: Oh boy, our server was barely even around and not very pleasant and aware. I mean, in front of us, other people were getting water refills and we were just ignored. I even had to ask to please take the plates away from the table. My take, as a person of diversity, I did not get a good vibe from this restaurant. I know the South is not generally known for that, but this felt like a perfect example. I mean if this best vegan restaurant provides a Masala Uttapam offering, which we didn't get and I have a feeling would be laughable--can we not get basic service and hospitality? I felt our table and needs were very ignored for this caliber of a restaurant.

I was happy to be seated even though I didn't have a reservation (if you go, they recommend having one - especially on weekends). The food was super good, but a little expensive. Very creative dishes with quality ingredients though. I ordered the curry and it was very tasty. I was surprised it wasn't served with any rice, but there wasn't much curry sauce so it didn't really need the rice. I really wanted to try the cheese plate, but sadly was there by myself so chose to get dessert instead. I got the brownie Sunday and it was very tasty. Super rich and filling though so I didn't end up finishing it (can be shared). The restaurant was a little small inside, but they had just recently opened up a patio area too. My server was super friendly and helped me choose what to eat. Overall a very nice experience.

Just as wonderful the second time, maybe better because it was a weeknight and not as crowded as my first visit two years ago on a weekend. Amazing food, beautifully plated by pleasant servers. Especially delicious -- the lasagna cruda with almond cheese, arugula-pecan pesto, beets, heirloom tomatoes, olive oil, oregano and zucchinis. And the cheese plate can't be beat! Perhaps one minor improvement -- We celebrated my daughter's 40th birthday, and at the end of the meal they served her a yummy slice of peanut-topped cheesecake with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate on the plate -- then proceeded to charge us $11.00 for the dessert. It would have been classier, with our near $300.00 tab, that the cheesecake came gratis. How much more memorable might this special occasion been?

Oh my goodness! What a treat! 5 friends gathered to celebrate a 40th birthday. The guest of honor has been a vegan for forever it seems and what better way to treat the birthday lady but than with a lavish spread of fresh vegan fare. This restaurant opened in 2011 and has been serving up vegan fare with finesse & aplomb since opening its doors. It's been rated as the best vegetarian restaurant in Asheville and has received praise and rave reviews from Zaggat, PETA and Food & Wine. It's a small restaurant, seating less than 50 inside, all in a close intimate setting, as well as a seasonal outdoor 20-seat, dog friendly patio. For this occasion, we ordered one of every small plate on the menu and three of the large plates and shared them all. Our server, Niki, expertly paced the arrival of each new dish so as not to overcrowd the table or rush our dining experience. (Attached photos document this meal.) This was communal dining at its best. Each dish is artistically plated which enhances and celebrates the carefully crafted renderings of vegetables, making them all the stars of the sumptuous repast. I can guarantee that eating here will definitely elevate your palate and maybe even convince you to change your dietary habits and begin your "lean toward green." Reservations are highly recommended.

This restaurant looks great, but I was wondering if there are any dishes with protein other than cheeses?

The menu does change but I know there was a seitan entree while we were there. Also I ordered the green curry with tofu which was excellent. It is completely vegan so none of the dishes have traditional cheese.

I was in communication with Lindsay for over four months while exploring options for hosting my wedding dinner in their private dining space. Out of more than 10 venues and vendors we considered, she was the only one who consistently showed up with prompt, thoughtful, and genuinely kind communication. Every question I had--no matter how detailed or repetitive--was answered with patience and care. She made herself available through all my moments of uncertainty, which, as any out-of-state bride can attest, is invaluable. When we finally visited in person, Lindsay went above and beyond by accommodating us outside of regular scheduling. Her attentiveness and warmth never wavered. Planning a wedding from afar can feel overwhelming, but having someone like her in your corner brings a level of reassurance that cannot be overstated. Dinner itself was nothing short of exceptional. We were served by Tennille, who elevated the entire experience. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable.
