Everything was excellent, hot, and home cooked. The salad was delicious and the fries as well. My husband devoured his chicken fried chicken in about five minutes. We will be back whenever we are in the area

Food is delicious and it is very diner-y!! The service is good and the pricing is affordable. Feels very southern-retro-diner and the seating is plenty spacious.

If you want great home cooking at affordable prices, look no farther. I had the Chicken Fried Steak with gravy. The two steak pieces were hot, crispy and tender...no gristle! The gravy was smooth and delicious. The burger my wife had was cooked perfectly and very juicy. Service was prompt, place was clean and the clientele would appear to be mostly locals that know where the good food is at. Nothing special from the outside, but the food is great.

Four and 1/2 Stars. They changed their hours, (see pic) and their menu has been updated too. The place itself is very clean, (including the bathrooms), modern, bright and comfy with booths, tables and counter. Went for a late lunch, having my "Test-o-new-place-meal" aka Bacon Double Cheese burger, with onion rings. Scored a 5 on the yummyometer, (out of 5). It was juicy, it was full of burgery goodness cooked to perfection. My Wife had the pork chops with Au-gratin potatoes and coleslaw. The chops were well cooked tender and savory. I tried the potatoes, loved em. The slaw was really good too. Have been back several times now and tried all kinds of stuff. Their Chicken Fried Chicken is absolutely awesomely crunchy tender crispy. The Chicken Parmesan, was not very good. The chicken itself was great but that sauce, that sauce absolutely ruined it for me. Meat sauce on chicken parm just does not go. (first thing that was just ok). My wife had the barbecue and said it was awesome, (She used to work at a barbecue place in Miami). I did steal a bit when she wasn't looking and it was really really good. Tried breakfast here too. Had a Greek Omelette and my Wife had this thing that I can't remember the name of, eggs, french toast and home fries. We both enjoyed it a lot. So get going and try it, you'll enjoy. Good food, good diner vibe, great prices. Ample parking too!

I've ordered the sausage biscuit to go while vending downtown at a holiday festival. My husband and I have had a few date night cheeseburgers. Every time we've visited, we have been genuinely greeted and served some of the best meals. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and neatly decorated. I also enjoy their cinnamon rolls for a nice sweet treat! My husband and I were looking for a place to eat lunch and bring our two dogs while visiting downtown Waynesville. After learning Main Street Grill was dog friendly, we decided to give the patio a try. We were greeted with the same kindness we are used to at the door and enjoyed a wonderful meal with our pups on the patio. The kind and knowledgeable staff checked in with us often, offering our pups a bowl of water and lots of attention. My husband and I had the smash burgers, absolutely delicious! I get the fried okra as a side (some of the best fried okra I've had). The girls had a sausage patty (which they thoroughly enjoyed). The patio is very nice and comfortable with a nice view of the mountains. The string lights would make a warm and inviting place for an evening meal. A perfect spot for a nice lunch with or without our furry friends! Main Street Grill is one of our most favorite spots in Waynesville, NC. We look forward to our next visit!

We DO NOT like to be rushed and unfortunately our waitress just kept interrupting our conversation and asking us to order. It was a Sunday afternoon and it was NOT super busy. So I had the cheese ravioli for my main- was really rushed into that decision and my boyfriend had the Reuben with fries... he was told that she would have to check with the kitchen AFTER she said that a special was shrimp and grits!!!! Made reservations a week in advance since it is popular & we were coming on a Saturday night. had to call to do this but the staff were quick with the booking. We were staying on the north side of Asheville a few minutes from downtown & this was a quick 12 drive to Weaverille. Place was packed when we arrived 10 mins early for our seating. We waited maybe 3 mins though & were in our booth. The vibe here is something else. Decor is eclectic but layout mimics the vintage diner that it resembles from the outside. Very casual but doesnt necessarily feel that way. Menu isnt extensive so you dont have to fret about too many choices which i personally like. We started off with the seasonal watermelon salad which my wife says is one of her favorite things shes had anywhere in recent memory. I had a side portion of the steak wedge salad. For mains i had the carolina shrimp & grits & my wife got the pot pie. Both were insanely rich & satisfying. Good portions & quality ingredients represented. Even though at this point we were stuffed we had to go for dessert & tried the omg peanut butter pie & the tiramisu. not surprisingly, both were excellent. Apparently they have a dedicated pastry chef who makes the desserts every morning. Service was really good here and my sister in law's friend who was working the bar came over and raved about being employed there which is good to hear. Cant find anything negative to say about this place & you'd be hard pressed to find anybody doing so online really either. Just a local joint serving good food in a fun environment. Highly recommend
