Not bad...neato tiny little ma and pop greasy spoon joint packed with graying haired men talking politics and reading the paper. Got a sausage biscuit to go to test it out. Cheap. $1.50. Nothing remarkable about the biscuit but not bad either. Cant quite tell if tgey are home made. Came out hot and steaming. Not a bad sausage patty. Will try their cheeseburger next time to get a better read. They do a brisk morning business.

We came here on a holiday Monday for a late breakfast at 1030. Ordered breakfast special with an extra biscuit. Water to drink. $6.94. Waited 22 minutes on my order, and noticed they filled walk in Togo orders before mine and the few other seated customers who ordered prior to me. That may account for The wait. The amount of food was skimpy and I've had the Hardees breakfast platter for $3.99 and gotten more food. The dining area small, 6 four seater booths, 1 two seater booth, and one 4 seater table. Dining area with straws and visible dirt on floor. Bathrooms located around the side of building are clean, smell fresh, well stocked, and slightly chilly despite being heated. I know I wouldn't return for breakfast but would consider takeout for burgers or other lunch, for no other reason but to see what exactly keeps this place afloat.

Country ham egg and cheese biscuit, fresh hot and tasty. Pretty quick. Friendly service. Good price. No complaints.

Cash only breakfast/lunch diner, limited seating but has to-go and a drive through. Always consistent and fairly priced.

Since we got there so early, we had ordered from their cafe and their lattes were nice to sip on while walking through their edible garden! I really liked our server, a ginger man, very kind and quirky and it felt personable which I enjoy, he told us about being a Michelin recommended and I'm glad to have experienced it! For starter, I got the smoked salmon hash, and that was filling enough and very fresh! I had ordered their Philly cheese steak with auju and it was sooooo filling, I love a hearty breakfast, but I could only finish one half. I ordered their local sausage patty and it was nice and Smokey and savory! The grits were chunky and cheesy which I really enjoyed, everything was great! Love it! My partner ordered a classic breakfast and their maple bacon is sooooooooo good, I told him he needed to learn to make it because I want more! Their fruits seemed home grown and I really appreciate their decor of sexy veggies on the way! Such a cool place to eat and hang out!

They also grow their own herbs and veggies in the adjacent garden to the restaurant. The flavor on the waffle sandwich was superb. Waffle crispy and chicken moist. It's everything people say it is. The biscuits are fresh, buttery, and absolutely delicious, but the real surprise was the homemade jam. Oh. My. Goodness. The jam deserves its own standing ovation. We even saved what we had left and used it later on a campfire breakfast during our road trip. The biscuit we made at camp wasn't quite the same, but that jam still stole the show. Their homemade butter was another standout, and the coffee menu had plenty of great options. Everything we tried was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely worth it. The café itself is adorable, and the whole experience made us wish we had found it sooner. If they don't already sell that jam by the jar, they absolutely should. I'd buy it without hesitation. If you're in Asheville, do yourself a favor and stop by ButterPunk. Get the biscuit. Get the butter. And whatever you do... don't leave without trying the jam. Highly, highly recommend!

The line moved pretty quickly and was wrapped out the door, I'd say we only waited for about 15 minutes before ordering and then another 15 after that for the food and two coffees. Service was bubbly and friendly, and the atmosphere is so cool. The food was okay, but less than what I'd consider "good" and on the more expensive side. Our coffee was quite bitter. I did appreciate the thick cut bacon!

Like many cafés in Asheville, it's a self-bussing establishment, so guests return their own dishes after eating. The cafe is charming, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were warm, welcoming, and food was very good. We ordered drinks which was okay...next time I'll opt for water. Luckily, the Buddha Bowl and the breakfast sandwich served on a perfectly baked biscuit, and both were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I even bought their after-meal herbal tonic a try--not sure if it worked, but like to try it to give my stomach more energy and room to eat!!!

I figured I'd have to get there right when they opened to beat the crowd. Then I hit snooze about a thousand times and stumbled in a few hours later. Somehow there were only three people in line. While the cashier at the counter cut me off after I ordered two items, telling me I was "going too fast"... I thought she was about to ruin my morning. Turns out she was an angel, guiding me to the light. She recommended The Standard, which I assumed was just a basic-ass breakfast sandwich, then told me to get it on the biscuit instead of the bread/roll/bun/whatever. That flaky, buttery, soft biscuit made me feel like I was in heaven. And don't forget the herb mayo--the cherry on top of one of the best milkshakes... I mean sandwiches... I've ever had. The lavender, fairy-dust, moon-water, up-your-ass spritzer seasonal special or whatever the hell it was... also delicious. Such an amazing way to start my day that when I told my friends about it, they immediately wanted to go for lunch. I RARELY, IF EVER, EAT AT THE SAME RESTAURANT TWICE IN ONE DAY. By lunchtime I felt like I should've been getting employee discounts. Hell, it was so damn hot in Asheville I bought one of their tank tops after breakfast... then came back wearing it for lunch like I'd worked there for years. I'll spare you the details of everything we ordered, but let me tell you this: not a single complaint. And that's saying something with the group of professional complainers I seem to have surrounded myself with. If you're reading this, lady at the counter--you were right. I hope you're out there telling other lost souls they're going too fast... and to get the biscuit. Asheville might've gotten the Michelin recognition, but you deserve a star too. Verdict: I'd eat here twice in one day again

Made reservations a week in advance since it is popular & we were coming on a Saturday night. had to call to do this but the staff were quick with the booking. We were staying on the north side of Asheville a few minutes from downtown & this was a quick 12 drive to Weaverille. Place was packed when we arrived 10 mins early for our seating. We waited maybe 3 mins though & were in our booth. The vibe here is something else. Decor is eclectic but layout mimics the vintage diner that it resembles from the outside. Very casual but doesnt necessarily feel that way. Menu isnt extensive so you dont have to fret about too many choices which i personally like. We started off with the seasonal watermelon salad which my wife says is one of her favorite things shes had anywhere in recent memory. I had a side portion of the steak wedge salad. For mains i had the carolina shrimp & grits & my wife got the pot pie. Both were insanely rich & satisfying. Good portions & quality ingredients represented. Even though at this point we were stuffed we had to go for dessert & tried the omg peanut butter pie & the tiramisu. not surprisingly, both were excellent. Apparently they have a dedicated pastry chef who makes the desserts every morning. Service was really good here and my sister in law's friend who was working the bar came over and raved about being employed there which is good to hear. Cant find anything negative to say about this place & you'd be hard pressed to find anybody doing so online really either. Just a local joint serving good food in a fun environment. Highly recommend

Honestly we were off to a rough start when somehow the system didn't have our reservation despite us having the email saying we were confirmed and we weren't sure if we were going to be able to have a table, BUT they told us they would def seat us. We did have to wait about 15-20 minutes because they were very busy, but we did get a large table for everyone. Our waitress was very nice and had chill vibes in the best way. They made up for the mix up by giving us a few free appetizers and comping our kid's meals. We were not expecting this and it was a very pleasant surprise. The drinks were good and the food was great too. The food came out hot (it did take about 40 minutes to come out tho) and other than a mix up of chips on my plate instead of sweet potato fries (which they quickly and easily fixed) all the food was exactly how we ordered it. I got the philly cheese steak and the bread was so soft! The sweet potato fries were awesome! We got kids pizza and they destroyed it. I wasn't a huge fan of the garlic mashed potatoes, but that may be just me. I also got the chocolate cake to go and I WISH I HAD GOT 2 slices. It was sooooo good. I would go back just to have another piece. Overall we would def go back and would recommend it to others. We really appreciated the staff's efforts to make sure we had a good experience.
