Western omelet
Chris S.

Easy to find with a good amount of off street parking. I didn't notice specific handicapped spaces but the lot is paved and easy to walk. The entry door faces the parking lot. We were greeted on entry and told to sit anywhere. Seating is a mix of booths and stools at the counter. It was about half full when we were there after the breakfast rush. Menus are on the table. Our waitress took the drink order right away. She dropped off the drinks quickly and said she would come back for our food order. We had our food in less than five minutes! The Working man's breakfast had two eggs cooked as ordered, two pieces of sausage, grits, and a biscuit. I added gravy for $0.99. The biscuit and gravy are made in house and the sausage seemed like it came from a local supplier. Everything was excellent. I did add pepper to the gravy but that is a personal preference. My dining partner's Western omelet was packed full of ham and veggies. The hash browns were cooked to perfection and the biscuit held up to jelly very well. This is a definite stop if you are ever in Clyde and we plan to return to try their lunch menu.

The food was definitely homemade and excellent. The service was genuinely friendly and had a real diner feel.

Very local, family run joint. Couldn't be friendlier. Pancakes are huge and incredible. Decent coffee.

The patio overlooks the golf course and gets a nice afternoon breeze. Service was good. Food was good overall. I'd give it a strong 4, but definitely not a 5. The pimento cheese burger with jalapenos was huge (must be half a pound of very high quality ground beef). So at $16, they aren't making a ton of profit on this meal. The side of sweet potato waffle fries was good but not great (a little too soft/not crispy enough). The blackened redfish sandwich was also good, but nothing stood out. There wasn't a lot of seasoning. The tartar sauce it was served with was okay, but it seemed like this sandwich needed a sauce with more zing (lemon garlic remoulade maybe?) to give the rather plain fish, with not a lot of seasoning, more flavor. The side of pimento mac-n-cheese was the high point of the meal. Using pimento cheese was a nice twist, and the top of the cheese covering the macaroni was nicely charred in places providing some crunch to contrast with the saucy cheese underneath. Limited beers on tap, but an interesting cocktail menu. It's definitely a great location with pretty good food, so a good place to eat in the countryside around Canton, NC.

They literally have every fast food and chain dining experience on one block, but I didn't know that at the time but I'm tired of road trip Food so wanted to sit down for a good meal! Pulling into the parking lot and I was overwhelmed because it was huge and very crowded! We go to the desk and they tell us 25 minutes. This place was huge and very accommodating, they were getting people to their tables fast! We noticed two empty seats at the bar, so we opted to take them and had the pleasure of being served by Robert. He was attentive, made sure our waters were always full. He gave recommendations on his favorite dishes and was all around a great bartender! The guy working the other end of the bar was equally as professional. The ambience is a dark cool vibe, little trendy but people were dressed pretty casually! Answer the most important thing...The food! For an app, we got the beer, cheese fondue that came with apples, bread and pretzels. The beer cheese had a little bit of ooomph to it, which was refreshing because usually I'm not a big mustard person. The pretzel bites were incredible crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The apples were fresh all around the appetizer for 3 to 4 people so we took extra home. I ordered the 10 ounce sirloin cooked, medium with the web sweet potatoes and a side Caesar salad for a three dollar charge which ended up being a full-size salad! It was super fresh and gigantic for a side salad. The steak was cooked perfectly, in the middle with an insane sear. Their house, butter that they put on it truly elevated the flavor profile. I tried the sweet potatoes mashed and they were enjoyable, but I do not enjoy a sweet side with my food so I knew I was going to donate them to my husband and he said they were incredible, the flavor was definitely there just not my cup of tea, but I knew that from the beginning . He got the Caesar salad with grilled chicken! It had so much flavor and tastes incredible but yet melted in your mouth it was the most tender chicken I've ever had in my life, and the flavor was all there! Not even the slightest bit of any kind of dryness. One of the best bites of chicken I've ever had.! He ordered the bison meatloaf to go, and that comes with caramelized mashed potatoes and fried onion straws.... It smells incredible and I will update when we try it . * UPDATE: best meatloaf ever!!! Based on the quality/ experience on a very busy night- everything was phenomenal and I will return. Service 10/5 Food 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Value 5/5
