I loved that it isn't pretentious or trying to be anything other than what it is - a local diner. I got a patty melt and fries to go (they were out of potato cakes- drat). The beef patties were done perfectly- not dried out all, onions and cheese were great. I love crinkle fries and got a huge amount of- crispy heaven! The staff is really nice, attentive and kind. It's not a large spot, but very cozy. There is street parking and a lot across the street. I will definitely be back especially because the cakes look amazing. read more

Small town Main Street diner with good food and great friendly service. We were there for breakfast. The menu was typical with no surprises. Food was good with the country ham, egg, cheese biscuit being the prize. The ham was thinly sliced which was unusual but very good. I would put that biscuit in the top 5 I have ever had. They also served red-eye gravy and it was amazing. Everything else was average. Not bad at all. The gravy on the biscuit was served cold (probably plated too early waiting on the ham), the biscuit with the gravy was a little burned, and the hash-browns a little mushy. Our waitress was a treat. She was friendly and knowledgeable and entertaining. It was very cool to see her interacting with the locals in one way and then with the obvious out of towners (like us) in another. The restaurant itself was clean but run down like you would expect in a small town diner. I did not see anything dirty at all. The prices were also unbeatable. The whole experience was worth the trip and I highly recommend it. Cannot give 5 stars because some of the food was mediocre but I still would recommend swinging by if you are in the area. read more

The things that are found while traveling in unknown areas is one of the joys of getting off the beaten path. Breakfast was enjoyable and tasty. The breakfast special was the perfect size (for me) with grits, eggs, meat and toast! Also, it was the most decent size of coffee that I have seen in a restaurant! Wait staff was as friendly with the tourists as the gentlemen who are their everyday. If you are in the area, check it out. read more

You know those cute hole in the wall, small town lunch spots? You found it. Very inexpensive options, so you get what you pay for. I got the turkey Swiss bake- it was the round deli turkey you get from the plastic packages in the grocery store. I will not be getting that again. My son got the burger and it did look good. My uncle got the Philly cheesesteak and that also looked appetizing My other son got the grilled cheese and it was 2 American slices on Texas toast. It's an adorable little spot but don't go expecting high quality food. It's a small town lunch spot with the sweetest servers. We will go back for breakfast one morning. read more

The eggs were all cooked perfectly. Large serving sizes for everything we ordered. We have never met friendlier people. Coffee cup was always full. We wanted a Mom and Pop local stop for our breakfast. This was perfect! read more

It's not that it's the worst ever here...it's that it's not really 'good' either. Went here with my wife and daughter recently (after my wife begged repeatedly to try the place out). She ordered their menu special (chicken liver), I ordered a chili cheeseburger. Ordered my daughter something off the kid's menu. Since my daughter is 3, her review is pending (I'll ask when she's older?). My wife's chicken liver was, according to her, okay-ish. My chili cheeseburger was...I don't know...I didn't get a chili cheeseburger. I got a plain cheeseburger instead of the chili cheeseburger I ordered (and then got billed for a chili cheeseburger at the end). It was okay. Fries were bland, like they'd been baked in an oven, no seasoning. Basically...I got McDonald's quality at a sit-down restaurant....no, that's not right either, McDonald's has better fries. For the three of us...the ticket was about $50, so not expensive...but also high for the lack of quality received. Then, there's the service...which was inattentive, slow, and, as I noted earlier, I never even got what I ordered, so...yeah, lacking. We probably won't be back here. read more

We had a chili-burger with fries for $10.99. It was fantastic. The restaurant is a bit off the main drag but worth the detour. The place was clean and the service was friendly and fast. We will definitely come back again. read more

Cute inside and out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food Omgoodness. Yummy. It did take a little longer but well worth the wait. We ordered our food to go next time I will eat there just on the service alone. We ordered tuna melt, Ruben and the cabbage pancake. Among other things that I wasn't able to try. I ordered a Rueben. It was awful. It was overcooked so much that it bordered on being burnt. The meat was dry from being over cooked.

It's a simple little mom & pop cafe! The owner and staff were absolutely awesome! The food was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! I had a club sandwich and my husband had a double cheese burger. The burgers were fresh not from a box that had been frozen! The veggies on both were fresh and crisp! The first time I went here the breakfast I ordered was probably the worst I've had at any restaurant. I went back to give them a second chance for lunch and although the french dip that I ordered was ok tasting the portions were extremely small and very expensive. I probably won't be back. read more
