The restaurant is always clean. We loved eating in when they had one in Waynesville. Although this Canton location is a bit further out for us, we still it. read more

Stopped in here the other night for a quick bite and was surprised to have one of the best burgers I've had in a long while. Not quite smash burgers and not quite slabs, but a nice in between size. Got a double patty on the mushroom and caramelized onion burger with sweet potato fries as a side. A word of caution though, the sweet potato fries come seasoned with cinnamon and sugar, so if you need to keep your sugar levels low make sure you ask them to keep the cinnamon and sugar off. The BLT was also really good! It's got limited seats inside and is kind of cramped, but it's basically what you'd expect from a straight up burger joint. It doesn't need to be fancy to be good. The servers were also great too. Be prepared to pay a decent amount extra if you want your burger to have 2x patties or if you're interested in having any other side besides french fries though, it is a little nickel-and-dimey for substitutions or ad-ons. read more

First visit is awesome!! Locals said this place was great and they were right. Now, we came because they were said to have the best burgers in town. Well I didn't get a burger. I did get the best steak sub I've had in a decade! The onion rings are beer battered. The closest to English style I've seen since moving to the south. Amazing. Cheese curds were also a big hit. They're Tots are really good and my wife loves Tots! Our server was great! Very friendly and attentive. Great mix of country music at just the right volume. My wife and I stopped in after a trip toSc and back. we were thinking of a burger but decided to tru the boiled shrimp instead. She got the 1/2 pound appetizer portion and I ordered the 1/2 pound boil with corn, potatoes and andouille sausage. it was served perfectly and we were surprisingly pleased with our meal. the service was excellent and our waitress was attentive to our needs keeping our tea filled. the atmosphere is quite pleasant. we will be back for this meal again! read more

Service was good and everything came out quickly. Fried Brussels were good but little under cooked waitress agreed and showed the cook but that was it. Order the special which was a double bacon special burger sign said with a side. Burger didn't have any bacon on it we were told it wasn't on the cooks list. Then we were charged up charge and was told that even though the sign said serviced with a side only fries or tots is at the price listed. So happy that someone has come in and rehabilitated this spot in Canton. We always try to support the local community as my husband and I eat out quite a bit. Having another spot in Canton is great as driving to Asheville after a looong day at work is not always welcome. I'm thinking last Friday was their opening week/day, not sure as I never researched it, but I love a GOOOOOD hamburger with all the fixings and saw that this place was now open. So we swung into give it a try. 1st off I didn't really know what a smash burger was; I do now. My husband and I both ordered the Jr burger as we felt that 2 patties would be too much with the fries and a pickle. The menu stated 1 patty burger (of course with all the fixings) served with seasoned fries and a pickle. They were busy, I get it, but consistency is key in the food industry. With that said... The fries were not seasoned at all, they were undercooked leaving us with limp, soggy fries which were not edible even with ketchup. My husband got his pickle but I did not. My honest opinion is that the other (2/3 patty) burgers would do well with the bun that it was served with, but this Jr burger should have it's own bun as the burger was mostly bun. I barely tasted the burger itself. We are HUGE foodies and we will give this place another chance after a few more weeks have passed, but we were not overly impressed, but feel that given some time, they will find their grove and improve. read more

Had the Morgan sandwich, bacon, egg, and cheese. Egg is runny and man, it was a great sandwich. They have a full bar and therefore the service is prolly a bit faster if seated at bar. Maybe it only seems faster but I do love an adult beverage and good foods! I don't eat many burgers or sandwiches with bacon anymore but when I do I want it to be worth it in taste and quality and I think Furman's hits those marks easily. read more

First, I have yet to see this place not busy, which is a good sign. I had the fried pickles and they were great, I really wish more places offered spears but that's just a personal preference. I had the Aloha burger and loved it. The only complaint I have is that they don't have pickles for burgers, our waitress didn't say they were out, she said they didn't have pickles in chip form for burgers. And offered to bring a knife to cut up the spear it comes with, I passed, shouldn't need to do that. Just super odd for a burger restaurant. Either way, I would make that suggestion, but only a small thing. Our waitress was SUPER nice, I cannot remember her name since this was earlier in the week and I had a million things going on. But everyone was beyond friendly, and VERY attentive to every table. Food did not take long at all to come out to the table. Restroom was clean as well. We will continue to frequent Furman's. I just wished more places stayed open a little bit later in Canton, especially on weekends. Look forward to trying more menu items! read more
