10" Supreme and individual slices of meatlover and cheese

Found this place with great ratings on Yelp while spending a few days in the Candler/Asheville area. The building is a simple structure along a highway, with an unassuming appearance. But.....do not let that fool you! The pizza is fabulous. The pizza was of thin crust with very fresh ingredients. The 10" personal sized offering was perfect for me. The pizza was made to order and arrived within 10-12 minutes. Soft drinks were self service. The owner was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and orderly with a great vibe, I had the supreme minus onion, and my wife got a couple of individual slices (meat lovers and cheese). This is great pizza. I wish this was in our area. Do yourselves a favor and give this place a try. We are so happy that we did!!!

I've tried the meatball parm pizza , buffalo chicken pizza, the supreme, and a pepperoni pizza. All of them are delicious. If you like truly foldable pizza, ask them to make it crispier. Additionally, the sizes of the pies are actually pretty great and the prices are fair enough. Lots of seating inside and they play a lot of (not new) rock music which is a nice change of pace. Definitely will be coming back here regularly.

We found this place on our way back home from vacation. We all needed a break from riding in the car and we were hungry so we decided to stop here. It was the best decision we made on our way home. I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best pizza I've had ever!!! The crust was perfect...thin and foldable but not soggy. Toppings were fresh and plenty of cheese. Service was friendly and fast. There's plenty of room inside and it was very casual as pizza should be. This pizza place is 12 hrs from where I live and I would plan a trip to this area just to have this pizza again.

While exploring the Asheville area we met a couple in Canton that relocated from NY who opened a NY style pizza shop and it was amazing! 90s alternate rock playing throughout, unpretencious service, cool pictures and murals throughout and food was fantastic! Perfectly juicy meatballs and the sauce was perfect. For the pizza we stayed basic with pepperoni. The flavor was great, garlic buttery goodness, a high quality cheese with a great pull and the crust was crisp with the perfect chew. If you're ever in the area take advantage of an amazing hike like Graveyard Fields then refill at The Valley Pizza Restaurant

Food was AMAZING!! So many choices, very clean, and the pizza came out fast! The sit down area wasn't super busy but their take out orders were revolving through the entire time we were there. You could tell the owners really cared about their service and food. 10/10 and would love to come back if we are ever back in the Asheville area

Just had a slice of mushroom/pepperoni. Very good! I'm liking this place for a quick lunch. It's just past the fast food places off I40 before you get into Canton. Making it a convenient lunch stop...

The large pizza is really big!

Great service. The pizza is awesome. It's all about the crust. Tons of cheese and toppings. We don't get up to Canton very often, but we're making a point of stopping here any time we are near here. Bathrooms clean too.

Parking is limited but it is worth a park/walk. We hit Doughboys on a Saturday while a little league tourney was going on across the street. They were packed inside and running a mob scene carryout at the same time. They handled this with ease. Inside is a large bar, a few wallside booths and mostly large tables, seat yourself first come/first served. Claim your seats then step up to the bar to order and take your number to your table. Make sure to order your drinks and food together! Plenty of draft beer choices for your thirst; ice water is served in pitchers as well. Now to the pizza. Even with the huge crush, our food was out in about 20 minutes. The pies were hot out of the oven. Excellent crust with good chew and flavor; the meat pie was cooked through (no cold gristly ham or bacon) and delicious. Sauce is spot on and not too weak. Margarita had very fresh mozzarella and basil accompanying the tomatoes. Dry rub wings were large, not overcooked and served quickly, about a dozen were in our order. Food is run to your table. Watching the staff work is always a pleasure when they've got a tight ship. Even a dropped tray of glassware in the bar (oops) didn't slow them down. They are doing it right here and it shows.

First, the least bad of the three: the buffet. This would actually be somewhat passable in general, if the store wasn't severely understaffed to the point that the buffet spent a good 30 minutes of buffet time while I was there with literally no pizza or breadsticks available whatsoever. Next, let's go to mobile order #1, a few weeks ago. They did this crafted flats thing, that's cool, and the Nashville hot sounds good! However, I'm really not a fan of the giant onions they put on pizzas, so I order mine without it. (Easy fix, right? Just DON'T include this thing.) ...loaded with onions. It's almost like they heard the word 'no' and interpreted it as 'extra.' Mistakes happen, let's give them a pass. Mobile order #2, tonight. First, it's supposed to be ready by 6:06pm. I arrive at 6:07pm...not ready. Ok, happens. I eventually get my food at about 6:25pm. Well, at least they had plenty of time to make it correctly. I ordered their Nashville hot crafted flats again, again with no onions, a chicken bacon ranch for my wife, and a generic pizza for my kid. ...my daughter and wife got the correct pizza. ...I got a second chicken bacon ranch, after waiting 20 minutes past when it was supposed to be ready. Unfortunately, it seems that the team here simply does not care about their customers, and it shows in the (lack of) quality. ...this location is down the street from me. I'll probably drive over to the next town if I'm ordering Pizza Hut again...and at that point I might as well get another brand instead.

Now that I've tried it, I don't understand all the positive buzz. I placed an online order for a meatball sandwich and antipasto salad. The prices are ... stratospheric. $20 for a sandwich and side salad. The online ordering system told me 45+ minutes. For a meatball sandwich??? I killed 20 minutes, then did the 10 minute drive. Despite the place being pretty full for a Wed. evening, the service was very quick and friendly. The location is nice, the interior is quite interesting if a bit dark. And my sandwich was not only already ready, but getting cold. They need to rethink how they set pick-up timing expectations. The sandwich was a real disappointment. The meatballs were very large - even cut in half they made the sandwich hard to eat. And they tasted much more of (good) breadcrumbs than they did of meat. Even just looking at them closely they seemed to be more filler than meat. I've had better from the freezer case at the supermarket. There was very little marinara, and it was exceedingly bland, certainly did not taste homemade. The shaved parmesan was also almost tasteless, lacking the expected saltiness and "bite". The sandwich did fill me up, but for the price I expected to be able to get two meals out of it. The salad looks nice. It came with a side of balsamic dressing that has a nice bite to it but is way too thick, I had to spoon it over the salad. The lettuce was fresh romaine, the green olives and banana peppers were tasty, and the salami rolled around mozz was a nice touch. Easily the best part of meal and boosted the review from 2 stars to 3. I could have hit them on a bad night, but having tried them, I don't understand the glow the locals bestow on them. One of the most disappointing meals I have eaten since moving to Asheville. I don't expect to go back.

Overall, not a bad way to spend National Pizza Day.

We went for a large pizza, good toppings on it, and it took about twenty minutes to get together. No need for extra appetizers or anything else... a large pizza was more than enough for the two of us, and we took half of it back to our hotel room for the next day (pizza for breakfast is a glorious thing!) To add insult to injury, the cost of this pizza was $24. Maybe it was an off night but the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time we came for dinner. I don't know if they are cutting food costs but whatever the case, I do hope they will get back on track. It will be a while before we go back.

I still haven't tried the one in Sylva (heard good things), and I think I'll pass on the one in Bryson City. As for this joint, the outdoor dining area is supreme. Well, maybe it was just supreme on that day thanks to the weather. I was on my way to poker (it went well again thanks to me designing and applying TNP a year ago), and I wanted to get some good calories under my belt since tourney poker players don't eat much for 7-10 days when WSOPC is in town. I definitely got the calories! The Chicken Parm and pasta portion here is HUGE! The salad is also the best salad of the four Italian restaurants I have tried in the area. For bread, the garlic knots were very high quality, and if you like garlic knots, you will love it. But in the bread category for me, Frankie's wins with ease, simply because it's a large portion of traditional Italian bread with butter. I love butter. In fact, it's one of my favorite things in life. Sometimes when I'm driving and I glance at my rearview mirror, it looks like a stick of butter, especially during sunrise. For Chicken Parm, I have Frankie's and Bizzaro's tied for the lead over Vale and Bocelli's. But all four are good! For pasta, Bocelli's is in last. For some reason, that sauce works well with the Chicken Parm but not with the linguine. I give Bizarro's the nod for best pasta of the four. For service, all four are amazing. For value, Bizarro's. For atmosphere, Frankie's. For outdoor dining, Bocelli's. For quality red wine, Vale by a mile. Best red wine I have ever tasted! For storytelling, Vale! He will feel like a good friend within a 15 minutes. So ... for Bocelli's, solid Chicken Parm, best salad, great garlic knots, didn't love the pasta, and excellent service and outdoor dining. Definitely recommended! I need to try the pizza at all these places next round.
