    Jambalaya (GF crust, vegan cheese)
    Luca D.

Service and ambiance was once again no failure. I got the jambalaya pizza (consisting of Italian sausage, chicken, tomato, peppers, onions, and Cajun seasoning) on a GF crust with vegan cheese. The outer crust was crispy, but the inner crust could have been a little more so. The flavors definitely reminded me of a jambalaya and I especially loved the Cajun seasoning, which gave it a little kick. Overall, Pizza Mind is the place to get a good pizza mind.

Awesome pizza love it. Found it when me and my son went to visit Biltmore. It is a must when you are in the area. Easy to find due to being big red building

    How salad with homemade ranch!

We visited March 19, 2026. I ordered the house salad and it was one of the freshest salads I've had from a restaurant in a very long time. Also had fantastic homemade dressings. The ranch dressing was incredible. The pizza we ordered was also top notch. And a great size also. Toppings were just right. They did not skimp at all on the toppings, but also didn't overload it so that you could taste the flavor of the crust as well. Hall enjoyed our visit and hope to make it back on our next trip through Asheville.

I've been here before I had a slice or a pie with a friend but today I came alone. I just wanted a Reuben sandwich somebody along my life has told me they made good ones here at a pizza place, so I threw caution of the wind and ordered the effing best sandwich I've ever had.

    Advertised birria pizza

Was disappointed in the special birria pizza I ordered. Looked drastically different than what was advertised an had barely any birria on it....

Green pizza with marinara, feta, artichoke hearts, broccoli, banana peppers and spinach

There are a lot of good pizza places in Asheville and several really good ones, so for me it takes a lot for one to break out from the pack. Pizza Mind does. It's a small neighborhood pizza restaurant in West Asheville that definitely bunches above its size. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The converted auto garage has that West Asheville authentic and quirky vibe that we really love. Good selection of draft beers, most from local AVL breweries. But above all, it is the food that makes this place a 5 star. We ordered the beet ravioli appetizer. Lots of people say they don't like beets. They've probably only had pickled beets or beets that weren't well prepared. I actually love beets but had never had them in a ravioli, so we had to try this dish. The presentation was beautiful. Not something you'd expect from a little neighborhood pizza place. But the taste was amazing. The raviolis were filled with beets pureed with ricotta and goat cheese. The filling has a little sweetness from the beets that went super well with the cheeses. Then there was the pesto sauce and balsamic reduction. The way those interacted with the raviolis created a truly wonderful taste sensation. If you like beets -- or even if you think you don't -- I'd recommend this dish. We shared a (small) Green pizza. A really great pizza on so many levels. The crust was wonderfully browned and crispy without being burnt anywhere. It had big crunchy air pockets. The marinara sauce was tangy in just the right way. It was great to have a veggie pizza with a red sauce, as so many places seem to do a white sauce or no sauce with veggies. And the pizza was loaded with feta, artichoke hearts, broccoli, banana peppers and spinach. You could taste each item, even if you got a bite with several together. Soooo good. Reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back!

I stopped in my first day and got the LT sandwich, which was amazing, but I ended up spending almost as much time looking around the store as I did eating. They have everything from local mustards and honey to tinned fish, seasonings, and a whole section from a local creamery with ice cream, yogurt, smoothies, etc. Everything seems thoughtfully picked out and locally sourced when possible, without having the ridiculous prices you sometimes expect from a place like this. The staff was also amazing--genuinely friendly, helpful, and happy to talk about the food and everything they carry. I liked the place enough that, despite having an entire city of restaurants I'd never tried before, I came back the very next day. This time I got the grinder, which ended up being my favorite, along with the roast beef, which was also delicious. Between the sandwiches, the people, and the frankly ridiculous amount of good shit packed into the store, everything about this place was great. There are plenty of places I didn't get a chance to try while I was in Asheville, but I have absolutely no regrets using two lunches on this one. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. A friend has brought me here a couple times - once to dine in on the patio with her dog, and once for takeout - and it's been just delightful both times. The dining in experience was a Monday lunch and very quiet while the takeout was a Sunday evening and much busier. Despite the takeout situation, I opted for southern fried chicken most recently and was really delighted with the meal. The collards were well seasoned, the cornbread was huge, the slaw was slaw (though nothing to write home about, it's hard to make slaw that's worth writing about), and the chicken was well breaded, not overcooked, and still kinda crunchy despite its steam bath. I might have had the southern fried chicken plate the first time too, come to think of it... it's just impossible to find well done Southern food in the west, so I can't pass it up! The patio has nice seating options including a couple coveted tables in the shade. They are all pretty huge picnic tables so you may end up sharing if it's busy, but that's kinda the vibe here. There are dog water bowls and ice water for the pups in the summertime. Regarding vibes, it's right up my alley with servers rocking hairy armpits and tattoos all over the place. If you're a little more physically conservative you may be a bit put off, but I'd encourage you to try it out anyway.

I think everything is made in house and it tastes like it. As their name states, they make gourmet potato chips with varying, over-the-top flavors ranging from salt and balsamic vinegar to ones topped with brown sugar, bacon and chocolate. Between the 12 of us we tried Salt & Vinegar, The Corsica, Southern BBQ and The Italiano. I had the Italiano Panini and The Nori chips. Both were totally delicious. The panini came out hot and gooey. The bread tasted great and the chips were so unique and surprising. I will say that they drizzled a little too much red chili aioli sauce. It was very thick and flavorful. However, after a few bites it was too much so I wiped off some of the sauce. But it was really good, and inventive. Everything is fresh and made to order so it did take us a while to get all of our food, given that we were a large group. They told us before we even sat and we still wanted to try it, so that no big deal. And I will say this. Our table was the last to get served and the food was amazing. Sometimes at restaurants the standards fall when they get busy and that DID NOT happen here. They served great dish after great dish. Bags of chips are available for purchase as well. Not sure if they put less salt on because you can always add more, but they were so much better once we sprinkled some in the bag and shook. They also have sandwiches here - didn't get to try one on our visit, but they looked tasty. Good stop both for a meal as well as a snack.
