Really solid pizza spot with fantastic service and no problems with special orders like Gluten Free and Dairy Free. My family was visiting and called ahead to our traditionL pizza spot and what the heck, they were out of pizza dough. No problem, Pepperoni's had all the pizza we wanted. It is located in a partially filled strip mall on the West side of Black mountain, with about a dozen tables and some mighty fine and friendly service. Our group ordered a Greek Salad with amazing homemade Greek dressing, a Hawaiian pizza which got raves, a pepperoni pizza which my son loved and a Gluten Free, Dairy Free Kitchen Sink (kind of like an everything bagel pizza). The accommodations for dairy were not a problem and the GF crust was thin and tasty if not a tad dry. But really, the fun was our server who embraced us like family and treated us like her only customers. Wait, we were her only customers at that time.

We ordered the kitchen sink. It was hard to tell what was on it because the cheese was melted on top. I think it had everything but the kitchen sink. Haha. Whatever the case, it was absolutely delicious. Perfection. Fast and affordable.

I love love love the cranberry craze salad! It's so filling even just for half of an order. I usually add chicken to mine! It comes with a raspberry vinegar dressing. I love that it was covered in Halloween decorations! Also the garlic knots were amazing. I love when it's swimming in garlic at the bottom!

The cutest pizza place in Black Mountain. I loved all of the inspirational quotes that decorated the walls. I loved the menu, they not only had generic pizza place options, but also unique items such as a pizza bowl. I got the pizza bowl and it was super good and not as heavy as an actual pizza. Their garlic knots are an absolute must when you go to Pepperoni's.

Pizza was tasty but a little undercooked. Decent fare for a quick bite when traveling. Clean and convenient to I40.

The lettuces and other vegetables were so beautifully crisp and appetizing and the dressing was freshly made on site. The protein bowl was my entree and couldn't have been more satisfying. It too was pleasing in its presentation with its perfectly grilled kernels of corn and chicken breast on top--Just delightful and the portion was generous so I had leftovers to take home. My husband enjoyed the roasted turkey with cornbread dressing. Again the portions were plentiful and the plating showed the kitchen's pride by making sure everything looked as good it tasted. I could go on, but suffice it to say that we went back a couple of nights later. The menu is so varied, we could eat here for days without repeating an entree. Thanks, BMB!

Everyone enjoyed their meals: small salad with golden beets (came with an excessive amount of salad dressing), Buffalo chicken wrap, flat bread, fried green tomatoes with potato pancake (a surprisingly heavy meal), and shrimp and grits (she wished the grits had not been fried). Plus generous pours of white wine. Friendly server-- hope we weren't too much trouble. We would definitely come back--we heard the trout is divine.

We arrived at around 7:15 am and were greeted by two regulars hanging out front with their dogs, which meant that Mrs. K. got her morning dog fix before we even made it inside. That set a great tone for a good day. The welcome inside was warm in the small town way that feels genuine instead of forced, just easy smiles and a quick hello as I ordered. It was rather quiet when we arrived but the folks seemed to start pouring in as we sipped our coffees. My cortado was excellent even if it was in a paper cup. Mrs. K. was happy with her latte which is the proper test. We lingered a bit, enjoying the quiet and watching Black Mountain wake up around us before getting back on the road. A great little stop just off I-40 and a perfect start for the day. Five stars! [Review 540 of 2026 - 4635 in North Carolina - 25722 overall]

Within that context, however, the staff distinguished themselves as welcoming and efficient, processing orders promptly and with a friendliness that set a positive tone for the experience. Ambiance: Abbiocco is located adjacent to the Peri Social House in Black Mountain, North Carolina, an arrangement that proves to be a genuine asset. Guests may order beverages from the social house and enjoy their meal in a pleasantly secluded outdoor patio area -- an intimate and well-conceived setting that enhances the overall dining experience considerably. Food: The standout of the visit was undoubtedly the pizza, which represents some of the most authentic Neapolitan-style preparation to be found in Western North Carolina. The kitchen demonstrates a clear command of the fundamentals: quality ingredients, a well-developed crust, and the disciplined use of a wood-fired oven operating at the temperatures necessary to achieve a proper Neapolitan result. Each of these elements contributes meaningfully to a final product that is difficult to fault. Overall: Pizza preference is, of course, a matter of personal taste -- but for those who favor the Neapolitan tradition, Abbiocco is likely to impress. It is a worthy destination for anyone in the region seeking a pizza experience grounded in quality ingredients and genuine technique.

The guy running the booth was so friendly and helpful, he made the whole pickup feel easy. I love the RAD market its family friendly is very welcoming. This pizza is topped with White Squirrel Kitchens fromage blanc, wilted local greens, and mushrooms from Catawba Mushroom Company. Three local makers on one pie, which I love. The artisan crust, with the crispy edges, makes this the kind of pizza you want to eat slowly and savor. I drizzled balsamic on top and it went somewhere divine. The fromage blanc and mushrooms are already doing the work, but that little tangy hit pulled the whole thing together. If you keep a freezer pizza on hand for tired nights, make it this one. It actually tastes like a luxury high-end dinner you made an effort on, versus your typical frozen pizza. It's elevated.
