By far one of the nicest Pizza Huts that I've ever been to. Very clean dining room and bathroom, food was delicious, customer service was outstanding. Geni is the general manager and she was such a joy today. She was so friendly. It's hard to find cleanliness, good food and good service all at one place but Pizza Hut in Black Mountain, NC did just that. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back. read more

This is my second time ordering from this place. First time I ordered online I got a confirmation it was being made, only for an hour to pass by where I get a call saying that they're all out of pizza and of course now they're closed, along with everything else nearby. They gave a half assed apology and didn't really do anything to make it right. Second time was yesterday. Ordered a single large pizza three topping special for 11.99. Again, I get a call, although this time only a few minutes later, telling me they're all out of everything except pan pizza. I'm hungry and I know it's late so I agree to switch. When I get there I could see the person in front of me waiting before giving up, and when I drove forward I realized that there were people in the back chatting. Faced away from the drivethru with no way to get their attention. Ended up having to honk the horn. When they finally came over I had asked for them to change the price since I got a different crust where I was then told that the pan pizza was more money, different from what the app said, and why would pan be more expensive than stuffed crust anyway? In the end I said okay and let them charge me because I was starving and I didn't have the energy to find somewhere else, but when I got home I realized that not only had I been charged extra, but more so than I had originally thought as I had paid more for extra cheese. I also asked for light sauce. The pizza had the same amount of cheese and average sauce, and I just felt incredibly taken advantage of all around. It was "only" $5 or $6 extra but I just don't like that I had paid extra for a crust I was forced into and for cheese I didn't get. My family and I called in a to go order tonight and we drove there to pick up the pizza at the pick up window. Upon arriving at the window, an employee looked at us and proceeded to walk into a room to where we could not see her. We sat in our vehicle for long enough before my mom decided to walk inside and see what was up. When she did, the employee that had looked at us came out of the room she was in and finally gave us our pizza which had evidently already been ready. I have never, ever, not once had you guys make my order right. I've ordered from this particular establishment 4 times. (I went one past the "strike three rule" because hey, you're super close and you deliver) but I have been blessed to discover a local pizza joint just as close that will also deliver. My extra sauces (one ranch btw, nothing crazy) have been forgotten every time but once. Last night my drinks (and I paid for 4 of them) were never delivered. I have called down there before to ensure that my sauces get added to the order bc they're small and easy enough to forget I suppose. I have also had to drive back to the store after waiting for my food, because something was wrong and forgotten. I'm a server myself, so I would love to not do y'all's job as well. This was out only option after 10 pm on a Saturday night. There was a bother pizza joint that was listed online open until midnight, but when we called at 9:30, they were closing up. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza tasted fresh. We ordered a thin crust with veggies, a side salad and wings. The wings were okay, but the salad and pizza were really decent. We ordered online and added a 20% tip. We walked over from the Hampton Inn in just about 2-3 minutes. Not our first choice, but it was decent. So, I'm reviewing this place in terms of both delivery and dine-in experiences. First off, delivery is average at best. We live literally less than 3 minutes away, and the past two times we've ordered, delivery it took much longer than expected. So, docking them one star for some slowness. Secondly, when we first moved to the area, I was super excited about the buffet. Yum! Unfortunately, the buffet experience wasn't quite what I was used to from this chain. At most, there were only two pizza's out at all times. The other two pizza trays sat empty the entire time we were there. I mean, this is a small town and the buffet won't be the busiest, but two options was mildly disappointing. The salad bar was okay and had the usual fare. The actual pizza is what you'd expect from a Pizza Hut. Service was friendly and the waiter was attentive. Obviously, it won't compare to some the amazing gormet pizza places in town, but this place is okay if you want to gorge yourself with some cheap pizza. read more

Craving pizza late Sunday night, the only open pizza place was this one...ordered a couple of pies and was not happy in the least. The crust was chewy, how I will NEVER know...the taste was very bland and they really were less than generous with the toppings. There were 5 of us trying to find each of the toppings we ordered and believe me...it was a task!!!! This is a classic Pizza Hut, the classic look and feel. I prefer this location over any other local Pizza Hut locations mainly because of the friendly staff, attentive waitstaff, and the overall comfortable feel of the place. It's not the new designed pizza huts that just seem out of place. My husband and I ordered a pizza for delivery because it was our only option for our location. We are very understanding and laid back people so an hour wait time was no big deal. About an hour and a half later, we called for a status update. Once again, no biggie, just curious. A little over 2 hours after we placed our order, we call again and it was suggested to call back in 15-20 minutes if it hadn't arrived. Still no pizza, so we called back just like the young lady asked us to. This time, a gentleman picks up the phone. We were in no way confrontational or upset. We were just wondering where in the world our pizza was since it was midnight and we ordered it 2 1/2 hours ago. So instead of trying to help make things right, the guy yells at us and tells us maybe we should have picked up our damn phone and hangs up. Naturally, we call back. Different guy, same exact reaction. They claim they tried calling us (around 11:30pm), but we never received a call (And had called them 4 separate times over the course of 2 1/2 hours). Instead of working this out together, they chose to be extremely disrespectful and completely out of line. Used to be able to order delivery here, for years they delivered to us, but I guess they changed the rules b/c of where we live at, less then 10 minutes away. So don't order there any longer, b/c of it, not even for take out, and we tipped the driver well when we could order. Food is okay, once in a while I go in for buffet in town, but not like I used to. They could keep it a bit cleaner, but lunch time they do get slammed, so one has to make allowances. read more

Black Mountain Pizza Hut is really good! Pizza Hut is not always well known for it's scrumptious pizza but that is because not all Pizza Huts meet the high standards of the Black Mountain location. I don't know their secret but our pizza is always served piping hot and yummy. We eat here at least once a month and we take our friends and relatives when they come to visit. So far we have not been disappointed. There are several other pizza restaurants in Black Mountain and all of them are good but none of them are as reasonably priced. I usually order a Personal Pan Supreme with a pretzel crust. It costs $4. I almost always take home at least one piece and pop it in the toaster oven the next day. It's just as good as it was when it was presented at the restaurant. Laugh if you must but first you should try eating at this restaurant. It is well run, the staff is friendly and, most importantly, the pizza is delicious. read more

I'm writing this review nearly a month later after finding the receipt buried in my wallet, but still wanted to come write a quick review because I had such a good experience! I was in Black Mountain helping at a teen leadership retreat for the weekend, it was late in the evening after we'd cleaned up for the day, and I wanted to grab some food for myself and a few other volunteers since the cafeteria had long been closed. After driving around to a few places that were either closed or completely out of everything, I walked into the Pizza Hut on a Saturday evening at 11:45 PM (only 15 minutes before they closed). I apologized to the server as I walked in - I've worked fast food before and know how frustrating it is when customers come in last minute and you're trying to close. But the server working that night (who I believe was also the manager) was SUPER kind and cheerful as he took our order, and made the effort to ask how we were doing, how the retreat was going, and so on.
