Kind of a long line, but we showed up at like 11:00 when everything was closing. They got the pizza out as quick as they could. It was hot and delicious. Pizza slices were huge! Can't really fault them or anything.

This pizza restaurant serves huge slices of New York style pizza. The pizza itself was delicious, and the portion size was definitely impressive. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the food. The cashier wasn't very friendly, which was disappointing, especially as a first time customer. I had heard many good reviews about this place, but the overall vibe during my visit just wasn't what I expected.

Great atmosphere and super friendly staff!!! Location is a bit odd and as a result parking became a bit of a challenge but the building itself is well maintained and aesthetically pleasing for all your photo needs! The pizza was amazing! Definitely try the zip sauce with the Garden slice it was so good! We also got the Not Your Mom's pizza slice it was very good!

It was good but maybe not exceptional, depending on how much of a pizza connoisseur you are. The ranch dipping sauce was a highlight. We loved the generous slice size and NY-style crust. Minimal seating but would probably be a great to-go slice. The staff was very polite and helpful.

This is an interesting pizza spot. Music is bumping. It's open late. Staff are nice. Parking is in the street as limited. Pizza is a bit salty and if you don't eat pork skip it as they might have cross contamination. Slices are big fit on two plates. One slice will fill you up. Hope you enjoy!

Got ahead of myself and ate the entire pepperoni slice before taking a picture. That and the sausage were both great, fairly basic slices, but that's how I like it.

Huge delicious slices of pizza! We heard great things about PIE.ZAA & decided to try for ourselves. Thankfully we were NOT disappointed. Thorough, informative & polite service! The dining area was clean with a variety of seating. I devoured a slice of Zippy-ki-yay which has THE BEST base sauce! I wish y'all bottled the zip sauce because I want it on everything! The balsamic drizzle on top of the steak peppers & onions was tantalizing! Jonathan enjoyed the variety of vegetables on his Garden slice. Wish we could take PIE.ZAA back to Florida with us. We definitely recommend!

I've eaten a lot of pizza in my life and this is quite possibly the best tasting pizza I've ever had. I wanted to eat more than one slice because of how good it was but the slices are so large I couldn't physically eat more than one. The zip sauce and the ranch dip we're both delicious, especially the zip sauce! The service was great and it was within walking distance to a lot of other great businesses/breweries and such in the downtown area. We watched a guy buy an entire pie and he had to put it in the trunk of his car. I'm sure wherever he showed up with that thing he was received with a round of applause and followed by a trail of drool.

I could eat the Miss peaches slice over and over, with a dash of pepper flakes. These pizza slices are huge and come out fast. I was so glad they stayed open until midnight. The stay was welcoming, parking was easy enough and we took our pizza to go. Inside isn't that big and I had a movie to watch in my hotel room. I would definitely come back to try new slice toppings. I also tried one of their cookies. Although the cookie in the photo looked different from what I received it was delish.

Delicious huge pizza! Just be aware it might not fit through your car door. We had to put it in our trunk.

Amazing pizza. The Roni was perfect for a hangover. The Garden was very flavorful. The crust ends don't need dipping sauce, even though sauces were offered.

Slice of Roni and a slice of cheese.

This is now our pizza place in Asheville! The pizza is solid and the service is super fast and solid. These are huge slices and done up right.

I was satisfied with the pizza but it wasn't anything to really rave over. The salad was big - mostly chopped lettuce (love that it was chopped already) topped with some cheese, olives, green peppers and tomato slices. I don't eat my salads soaked in dressing so there was enough dressing for me but it felt like the dressing cup wasn't very full if you do like a wet salad. Breadsticks were good and airy. Lots of cheese on top. I preferred the pizza over the breadsticks over the 2 visits I had 3 types of slices. For speciality slices they top a slice of cheese with the toppings then bake it so the toppings aren't baked down into the cheese. Still good. When I lived here years ago, we used this spot as a quick bite when we were out brewery hopping or pre gaming for a show. Huge inside with plenty of seating and some games. The Roman squares are made of a thick dough that looks like focaccia but is both lighter and crispier. They come in single 5" by 7" rectangles (spuntino, $8-$10), 5" by 13" pies (mezzo, $15-$19), or 9" x 13" party size portions (tutto, $30-$38). While you can build your own custom pizza, the default options include a Calabrian with pepper jam, a funghi & charred tomato, a sfincione with breadcrumb topping, a patate with potato cream, and a rotating special. A few dips, an arugula salad, cauliflower cacio pepe, and meatballs are also available. Wanting a few slices to commemorate Pi Day, my wife and I shared a Calabrian, a funghi & charred tomato, and a daily special. Ordering was easy, and Terra Nova's "green industrial" vibe (check out that moss wall) made for interesting ambiance. Our pizza was not cheap, but it was very satisfying, and Mission uses high-quality ingredients. The Calabrian offered a good combination of sweet and spicy while the funghi & charred tomato delivered creamy (ricotta) and smoky. The crust was done perfectly: crisp without being overly charred. There are many places in Asheville where you can grab a pizza and a beer, but none can offer you the same experience that Mission does. Unless you're a New York-style pizza purist, you owe it to yourself to give Mission a try.

I like the style of pizza and they have some interesting specialty pizzas. I just didn't love how the pizza we had only had a very small amount of cheese. It was also super messy, the pizza had breadcrumbs on top, which were good, but they went everywhere all over the table. We also tried the meatballs, which were good but nothing special. I am all about being eco friendly but the taste of the wooden fork ruined the taste of the meatball (not a fan of the popsicle stick type flavor when eating).

I had a house salad and some dilly beans for lunch. The house salad was fresh and extremely well balanced. I'm glad they had something vegetable centric available. The dilly beans were good, but quite a bit for a single human. They're probably the type of thing you would want to split among friends. I actually showed up for an event in the evening where they served pizza using dough fermented with one of their yeast strains. That was truly excellent.
