Came in for brunch on spring break visiting from Virginia. Very modern feel inside with nice wood accent spread across the place. The tables were a nice dark brown color that were clean. Our waiter was awesome as she constantly checked on us and refilled our drinks. I ordered a BLTE with no eggs and tamato basil soup , the sandwich was pretty good but I felt the bread was kind of dry but dipped into the tamato soup it was a lot better. To start off the hostess took us back to seat it was very early still empty hubby and I asked for booth ...... if looks could kill my kids would be planning our funeral as we speak!!!!!!!! I got the triathlete, egg white omelet do over cooked and rubbery but it was leaking liquid on the gross side. Inside like 2 mushroom cut in 8 tiny pieces no spinach, onion, tomato not get but 2/3 can of cheap hatch chills everywhere as the egg whites gave birth to the chillis. I had to send it back. 3. Husband got the wrap, what a joke maybe 1 or 1/2 egg white no goodies inside no spinach, the turkey sausage pieces looked like a nuclear experiment it also was leaking terrible this wouldn't fill an anorexic. The First Watch app's 'waitlist' worked fine, no long wait on a Thursday late morning lunch. The atmosphere was spacious, well-lit, with available seating indoors and outdoors. The food, for our party of three, was fine. We enjoyed the half-and-half (salad/sandwich + soup) combo. We arrived around 11 am. and were seated at the booth to the right of the kitchen entrance. The con's included, impersonal and cold service, with no greeting or self introduction, no smiles, and no kind comments (she disappeared) as we finished our meal. I purchased a gift certificate to your restaurant for a friend and when she used it at the Asheville location she had a horrible food experience. The food was cold the potatoes uncooked, the bacon was burned. I was so disappointed to hear this as I have eaten at many of your locations and promised her that she would love your food. She said it was so busy she didn't want to send her food back. Even though it was the day after new years I would have thought you would be putting best foot forward as a new location. My first experience with First Watch was in Durham. When they opened in Biltmore I was there right away. I loved both. I had the traditional Benedict at both places. Wonderful. I haven't been to the Long Shoals location but I'm looking forward to it. read more

Service and ambiance was as pleasurable as it possibly could have been. I got the Parma Skillet Hash, which is two eggs any style (I chose scrambled) over potatoes, tomatoes, roasted mushrooms, onions, Italian sausage, fresh herbs, and goat cheese instead of the usual mozzarella and Parmesan, alongside GF toast. The toast was kind of soft, but the strawberry jam gave it some sweetness. The flavors of the hash were nothing but phenomenal. Adding the goat cheese was the right call because it gave it a good salt concentrate. The veg was great and the sausage was moist. Great food and a great location in Arden. The food is very well prepared everything I've tried. Here is good. They are known for their breakfast, but their lunch combos are incredible. Soups and sandwiches are a great choice and very well prepped with fresh ingredients. The serve staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The service was fast and everything was excellent. The pancakes were so burnt it was peel-able, biscuits were so hard it could break a tooth, and the French toast was burnt but they put that side on the bottom to make it look like it was cooked well. We waited an hour on that food. The server seemed like she hated her job and kept disappearing to the kitchen for a while. It was clear the restaurant had too many seats for their lack of kitchen staff and kitchen space. I would've give one but the bacon and manager earned an extra star. We paid 70+ dollars but manager took off some money for compensation so it was clear she was trying. read more
