Delicious breakfast. The bagels and lox was so tasty for a place on the mountains Wife had a very nice egg dish too And the cinnamon roll was yummy read more

I didn't have the best experience. Ordered a baked good item and a sandwich. No one brought me the fritter and I waited 20min+ for the sandwich. I had to go up and ask for the baked good and if they had my sandwich. Others were served before me even when they came after. Then they delivered my meal to the wrong table. The man who brought me the food was apologetic but that was all. I understand things like this happen but would have appreciated more attention. I can tell the food is made with love and A LOT of cheese. Big portions, small seating but has an outside. read more

Great sandwiches & breakfast goodies. Always reliable good food at reasonable prices. Nice outside eating and frequently busy. A staple for my wife and I after a workout at the Y! read more

Helpful service and great sandwiches. The menu was extensive and varied. I had a tuna melt with a surprise of basil leaves which I loved!

Ordered a small cappuccino with two shots. Got a latte. Asked for a remake and got a latte again. I was told it is because oat milk doesn't froth. We all know oat milk froths like a cumulus cloud so not sure how they arrived at that idea. Also, you don't substitute froth for more milk or else you get ... a latte! read more

I absolutely love when I'm in Biltmore Park around lunch because I can sneak over here for some food. They always have cute things around the restaurant to look at, always have little freebies for the kids (we got a stamper today, but there were glow-glasses and dinosaurs and all this and that in there too), and the food is on point. Their menu has so much variety and everything I've tried with them has been so so good. We like to grab our food and eat outside if there's an open table, but there are plenty of seats inside. The people who work there are sweet, and don't forget your punch card! You can get one for smoothies/drinks and one for entrees. I gotta get my punches lol. The peanutbutter and jelly smoothie I wasn't sure about at first when they handed it to me, but it's surprisingly good! Now that chai though. *Omg* that chai though. I've taken it upon myself to find the best chai in Asheville, and this one very well might be it. It's so creamy but it's still got that spice to it. Perfect on any kind of day read more

Good service, super friendly, surprisingly quick. The biggest side salad (yay!) and everything was very fresh. Switched my bread from sourdough to a pretzel bun and really enjoyed my food! Kids meals come with a juice box and fruit cup. The hubs got the special BLT and said it was very Dijon-y... I tried it. It was strong on the Dijon, I was glad I got mine, but all very good! read more

My new favorite place to grab a quick bite! I did not think places with this ambiance quality were still around. Awesome and interactive staff. Plenty of delicious options. The half salad half sandwich deal allows you a wide variety of their menu. read more

New favorite restaurant alert! Everything that Mosaic Cafe is doing is perfect. Food is the most delicious and fresh I've had in a minute, I can't put my food down! The staff are so kind and accommodating and make the cafe feel at home. It's a cute little shop, not trying to be something they're not. I'd gladly brave I-26 in a rainstorm again just to eat their Turkey Club. Perfect after gym meal! Cannot recommend this place enough!! read more

One of my favorite lunch spots around town! Matt the owner is awesome and kind and so is the staff! Best Turkey club around and they have no problem customizing it for you read more

I go here pretty often for lunch and if you go between 1130 and 1 it can be pretty busy. Mosaic is a far superior option for coffee compared to that Star.... Whatever place down the street. In the fall the outside tables are a great place to sit outside and enjoy lunch or breakfast. When it is cold the inside is pretty small and it can be hard to find a table. I recently had their chicken parm and the pumpkin apple soup. The food was tasty and I thought the price was really reasonable. I love that they offer a discount to the Western Carolina students too! read more

Always delicious and well made, terrific staff, and ample seating/parking. Diverse menu options. You can tell they don't skimp on quality or quantity--feels like you're eating at home! read more

Was given a gift certificate some years ago with no expiration. Called and spoke with Dennis who said it was still valid. My mother is visiting in town and we drove across Asheville to enjoy this cafe. Was told quite rudely by Matt the owner that the certificate was not valid..even though it had no expiration and that this person Dennis said it would be okay. Poor management. Will not be coming back and will not be recommending to friends. See below for response from owner. To clarify...when I spoke to Dennis I never said it was from a year ago. I said it was from awhile ago. There is NO expiration on the certificate. This was not an Asheville Deal promotion that lasted two weeks. This was a gift from the radio station. There is no need for you to be rude to me about this. What you said was you would not take it because it was paper and that you only took cards now. This is poor business practice. And your tone is completely unacceptable. How about treating a potential new customer with decency and kindness? read more

My husband and I enjoyed breakfast here on 11/16/24. I had a bacon, egg (fluffiest eggs ever!), and cheese panini on sourdough and he had the Lumberjack on pretzel roll. Our coffees were delicious. They were very busy but didn't make us feel rushed. Definitely recommend if you're in that part of town! read more

We came over to go to the outdoor store, but it wasn't open yet so happened upon Mosaic Cafe. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but there is deliciousness to behold on the inside! I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich which had cheese, sausage and egg...sounds simple enough, but good lord it was so yummy and I wasn't even that hungry! DH had the same but on sourdough (I think-I was in a zone). We both had Black Widow self serve coffee and it was strong and smooth like its namesake. There were several old dudes sitting in the cafe reading the paper and sipping coffee, so I assume it's a popular local spot. Great food, great service and perfect hometown feel. read more

First off great welcoming staff, followed by spot on coffee and food. Compostable containers. Good location.

We were driving through Asheville came across this coffee shop with 4.5 star review. It was definitely not very pleasant experience. From customer service, coffee itself and the bathroom, plus it was out of toilet paper. read more

Very pleased with the breakfast catering we had. Good quality food, good-size portions, delivered on time, and friendly service.

Staff was great but the food was so bland I couldn't believe it how can a burrito be bland. Absolutely no taste whatsoever.. I also ordered a couple other things and same thing no taste. I won't be coming back but it seems like they have plenty of customers just please add a little something it can go along way. read more

This place is BOMB! I spend every morning in a coffee shop, both here and abroad (extensive traveler) as I have an internet biz. This place checks all boxes. excellent coffee, food(pimento bagel sandwich!) atmosphere but most importantly, the vibe. Employees give such good energy. just now they busted in to "Total Eclipse of the Heart" while I was dining. super cute interior w/ outside dining too. Also, unlike many who have serve yourself water stations, theirs is always cold. A must if you are a coffee shop person! read more

Love this place. However, don't go if you're in a hurry even if ordering ahead. From order to pick took nearly 40 minutes for 2 blts and a turkey and brie. Since I online ordered I was awkwardly standing in this small space with two kids. read more

I eat lunch here frequently, so my review is based on multiple visits. - There's not a lot of seating room and COVID restrictions exacerbate this issue. I wouldn't suggest eating in for parties larger than four. - The menu has a lot of variety and the daily special is always different. - The food is fantastic. - My biggest issue is with the wait times. I usually wait 15 - 20 minutes around noon to get my meal. I'd suggest calling ahead if you're in a hurry. Overall, it's a great take out option for light, healthy food if you're in the mood for something less fattening. read more

Everything was amazing. Super nice people and great ambience outside when the weather was perfect.

This is a great little sandwich shop. I work near the area and just happened upon this place one day. I couldn't believe the variety of sandwiches they offer and the quality of the bread and meat. I have since gone back multiple times and every sandwich I've had is great and has not let me down. I love finding places like this that you never knew were right around the corner. read more

Love this place! The people who work there are very courteous and always welcoming! The coffee and the sandwiches are awesome, and so are breakfast paninis and wraps! The pastries are great and the bagels are good, although stale on occasion. With that minor issue, the place still is the best in Asheville by far! read more

Saw the great reviews online and came in for coffee and muffins. The pumpkin muffin was mediocre. Others got theirs on a plate and for some reason we got ours in a bag... not sure why. I ordered two hot drinks. 25 min later, no sign of the drinks. When I went to ask after them, the staff seemed confused and disorganized. I explained a number of people ordering the same thing had already gotten their drinks. They stared blankly back and me. Not really looking for an apology, but at least an acknowledgment. I had to ask them if they could make our drinks now; they did not offer. read more

We love Mosaic Cafe. They always have great and creative specials. I personally love the Cuban sandwich. Best Cuban I've had. They have great options for kids. My daughter loves their smoothies. Wonderful alternative to a hotel breakfast, delightfully located on a tree-lined street in a fun little town square setting. Had the breakfast scrambler and I was happy to see bright, colorful, and fresh veggies and just the right amount of cheese. The presentation was really quite beautiful. My Americano coffee took a couple of minutes as it was made with great care. It was perfect, especially when enjoyed with one of their fresh baked items (oatmeal raisin walnut cookie). Outstanding food quality in a wonderful location. Would love to go back and will gladly recommend this place! read more

Really great sandwiches and wraps at this locally owned cafe in new, dangled mixed use development, Biltmore Park. They serve locally roasted coffees from Beanworks in West Asheville. A really great caterer of meetings in town too! We'd use Ellen and her staff again read more

Came here for lunch with some coworkers and ended up getting a smoothie (berry one?) and a spinach wrap. The spinach wrap was just okay. It was kind of small, but I appreciated the amount of egg in it. There wasn't much of anything else in there, unfortunately. The smoothie was a bit weird tasting. I don't know if it was because of some sort of powder or the yogurt or something that they used, but it was not that great. I would skip spending the $6 on that and get some actual food instead next time. read more
