Not a coffee drinker but the wife is. She needs it to function fully so we swung by here in the morning before a day of thrifting around town. Was SUPER busy Saturday morning but staff were firing on all cylinders. Grabbed a few sweet things that looked really good. My favorite was the beautiful berry creme tart. Wife enjoyed the cookie & chocolate croissant. All priced reasonably too. Parking is tight but they are quick if you are grab & going. Good pastries cant speak to coffee.

Cardamom buns are the best item to get here! They are soft, fluffy, yet also have a decent denseness. They are a mix between a croissant and a cinnamon roll, and the sweetness is very subtle. If you like bread, this will be your favorite bread item.

Great fresh breads on a daily rotating special. They make their own coffee syrups and croissants and other pastries.

OWL BAKERY IS A REAL HOOT | after visiting the first location in West Asheville during COVID, we stopped at the North Asheville for a coffee and pastry. The parking here is awful - it shares a lot with a rehab center and parking is super limited. Pastries are fantastic - from a classic chocolate or almond croissant to a savory strudel or gougere... always very flaky and buttery. The coffee menu is limited but has everything you could need. I love their orange blossom cappuccino! Get in early to make sure you get to choose from their full display. OWL bakery is definitely my go-to baked good stop in Asheville, either location!

The fresh blueberry croissant was flaky, flavorful and absolutely delicious!

The pastries are amazing! Literally the BEST. Nice vibe. Would be even cooler if it was dog friendly.

Hole in the wall little bakery with delicious coffee. The real kicker was the homemade pastries that made our mouth water just looking at them through the glass. We did not get any as we had just ate breakfast but wish we did! Will definitely be going back for more!

May have been one of my top five favorite croissants ever! Highly recommend the onion and cheddar croissant. My earl grey tea was loose leafed and lovely. I am happy to report a class act petit déjeuner! Merci!!

I don't know why I slept on this place for so long. You walk in and the smell just draws you in more. We got a coffee walnut pastry, an almond rose croissant, and a ...I think it was called a morning bun for the kiddo. That almond rose croissant is AMAZING yall. I was not ready! The lady at the front suggested it when I looked lost haha. Eager to come back and try more out :)

Arrived on Saturday morning, place was very busy. Stood in line only to find out that there was a very limited selection and the baked items were by my standards expensive. I bought the 4 items pictured and it was $26. All items were very good, however NOT $26 good.

    Sweet danish and cardamom bun

10/10 recommend. The cardamom bun was phenomenal. It's so cute. Service is excellent. Can't wait to go back!

A second location for the bakery that established itself in West Asheville, this provides a welcome option for those wanting to stay closer to the city. It has an indoor seating area and a delectable looking spread. My jasmine tea latte delivered both sweet and bitter notes, and a savory strudel a wide mix of flavors. I split a bit of another sweet pastry. Had I a use for it, I certainly would have taken a loaf of bread as well. The pastries are both hearty and beautiful, and for anyone looking for such a bakery within walking distance of downtown, now you have one.

Staff so very sweet and helpful. They had a wall of team member's fur babies around a sign about an April 7th fundraiser for Asheville Humane Society. Pooped in for my daily matcha latte and decaf latte. Enjoyed the matcha. I prefer nothing but matcha and milk in mine. If you want any syrups put in you'll have to ask. Decaf latte texturally was great the bean flavor wasn't my vibe. On the day, we were leaving town we wanted to get a box of goodies for our sweet family members who had taken care of one of our pups so that we could get away for the weekend. The team was so marvelous in helping us put together this bountiful box of goodies. Which our family members immediately opened and enjoyed nibbles of all of the different flavors and items. We originally found them when one of our family members was having health challenges and could not have dairy or gluten. They have such a wonderfully inclusive assortment of treats for everyone in the family. Including vegan. Enjoyed people watching sitting on the patio and the dog scene is awesome. Really lovely chill atmosphere with delightful team. They do have restrooms for customers. You're able to tap and pay in addition to cash and traditional credit card purchase. Always a delight to visit.

There wasn't any wait when we arrived, so we weren't pressed to hurry with our order and could see what our options were. They did have a selection of both yeast style donuts and cake style as well as gluten free. They also offered a few different coffee/espresso/mocha drink options along with milk, oj and hot chocolate. We opted to share a cake style chocolate frosted. The donut was OK, but a bit dry for my liking, and the the chocolate also wasn't overly sweet. But it's all subjective an what wasn't right for me could certainly be great to others. I'd consider trying another favorer/style of donut if in the area again.

I ordered the fancy carrot cake and it was exactly what a classic carrot cake should be. The flavor profile was spot on. Not overly sweet, not bland, just perfectly balanced with that warm spiced carrot cake taste. Paired with a cortado, it made the perfect little caffeine and sweet tooth moment. A great stop if you're wandering around Asheville and want a cozy place to sit with coffee and dessert.
