    Vanilla latte, brown sugar cappuccino

The barista was very nice, really cozy space. There was some construction going on upstairs or I would have stayed longer. The latte and cappuccino were fantastic. Best latte in Asheville?!

The coffee is delicious. If you're an espresso snob like myself, you won't be disappointed. The ambiance is perfect for meeting with friends or getting real work done. The music is tasteful and not distracting, the overall space is bright despite the darker earthier paint and makes for a phenomenally relaxing space. the service staff is friendly, knowledgeable and makes an exceptional coffee!

Wow! So glad we came across this place while in town. We love visiting local coffee shops when we travel and this one will be staying on our list for Asheville. The drinks were incredibly smooth and perfect flavor. One of the best chais I have had. We will be back!

NO ONE LIKE ROWAN | one of my favorite coffee shops in Asheville has got to be Rowan. Their seasonal specialty coffee menu is unmatched. Whether it's the seasonal special or a drink made with one of the housemade syrups, you can't go wrong. I've tried their honey lavender and juniper syrups, which were both excellent in iced lattes. The sweetie pie is the perfect fall drink and the hello ruby was perfect for spring. I'm not sure if they make the pastries in house or order them from another bakery but we loved the blueberry fig cream cheese danish. The interior is clean and love the decor. They always allow our small leashed pup inside which is convenient since I felt uncomfortable leaving her in the car and there isn't any outdoor seating. Definitely add this one to your coffee rotation, whether you're a local or Asheville visitor!

Great stop on our coffee tour of Asheville. Got a drip coffee and breve cappuccino and found a nice quiet spot to sit and read in the back. Seating was comfortable, lighting was warm and soft for this easy Sunday morning. The staff was very kind and allowed us to get our drip in our own cup (note there's a discount for this!). Really enjoyed the coffee and vibe and would come back to try some of the light food offerings!

Cool vibes - WAVL spot was beautiful - their speciality shaken espressos were unique - loved it! Wife went with an oat milk latte both times & enjoyed. My fav for coffee in this city for now...

Great little spot! She had the mocha and really enjoyed it. Service was good, but be prepared for a wait--the line tends to get longer later in the day, which just goes to show how popular (and tasty) the drinks are.

Ummm...the place was just okay. I was driving back to CLT and thought to stop by a coffee shop, found this and tried it. They didn't had many options for vegans so all I got was a vanilla oat milk latte. Wish there were more options. Cute arrangement, be prepared to struggle with parking though.

Such delicious coffee, and a really great, sophisticated yet laid back vibe. They also had such very cool merchandise available for purchase.

Amazinggg coffee. We got the Cascara Cynara and vanilla latte with brown sugar. Loved the coffee and ambiance so much that we got a glass mug to remember this place!

Rowan is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was so kind and helpful with recommendations. Ended up trying a latte with the seasonal miso caramel syrup and it was great. Plenty of parking nearby and a great stop in Asheville.

    Danish pancakes, chai, cold brew
    Jonathan B.

Rowan coffee was busy on a Friday afternoon in October, and rightfully so. Staff handled the long line incredibly well, and the decor with some items for sale made the wait seem like nothing. The chai latte and Danish pancakes I had were excellent -- definitely different from any pancakes I've had before. They featured a stewed apple butter topping which was absolutely delicious. Friends got coffees, pastries, sandwiches, and other dishes with rave reviews. Definitely a great stop to eat inside or out (weather permitting). Strong WiFi if you'd like to work from there.

Staff so very sweet and helpful. They had a wall of team member's fur babies around a sign about an April 7th fundraiser for Asheville Humane Society. Pooped in for my daily matcha latte and decaf latte. Enjoyed the matcha. I prefer nothing but matcha and milk in mine. If you want any syrups put in you'll have to ask. Decaf latte texturally was great the bean flavor wasn't my vibe. On the day, we were leaving town we wanted to get a box of goodies for our sweet family members who had taken care of one of our pups so that we could get away for the weekend. The team was so marvelous in helping us put together this bountiful box of goodies. Which our family members immediately opened and enjoyed nibbles of all of the different flavors and items. We originally found them when one of our family members was having health challenges and could not have dairy or gluten. They have such a wonderfully inclusive assortment of treats for everyone in the family. Including vegan. Enjoyed people watching sitting on the patio and the dog scene is awesome. Really lovely chill atmosphere with delightful team. They do have restrooms for customers. You're able to tap and pay in addition to cash and traditional credit card purchase. Always a delight to visit.

Their espresso martini is probably the best I've ever had -- perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Every bartender here is incredibly knowledgeable. They can make anything you ask for and then walk you through the history and origins of the cocktail like you're getting a mini masterclass with your drink. The bar itself is beautiful, with an impressive selection of spirits and a menu full of creative cocktails featuring ingredient combinations you'd never expect to work together -- but somehow they absolutely do. It's also one of the best places in the city to sit back and people-watch while enjoying a perfectly made drink. Do not skip The Times -- honestly, it's worth going out of your way to stop there.

We each ordered individually, but tasted everyone's dish. Beef Tartare: beautifully presented and well balanced. Served with fried saltines (seasoned with Old Bay seasoning). Wood Grilled Asparagus: perfection! Absolutely LOVED the sauce gribiche! Braised Rabbit and Nettle Cavatelli: I thought this dish was stunning. The texture of the cavatelli could not be better and the flavors melded well together. Lardon added savoriness while the pickled ramps balanced the palate. Soft Herb & Pea Risotto: loved this in terms of texture but needed a touch of salt. We added a pinch of their house special salt (mined from a 100 year old salt mine), and it did the trick! Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle: this was my favorite item, though also, requiring a pinch of salt. I really appreciated that the truffle oil did not overpower the dish (that's a pet peeve of mine). We were provided with some truffle salt to enhance savoriness, which absolutely lifted the pasta to another level. Service all around was attentive and friendly. Outdoor seating is where we've gone both times here, and it was great for a group and for dogs. The staff service is amazing, and food comes out pretty quickly. Coffee selection is great--the Vietnamese cold brew is my favorite so far--and they always have fresh squeezed juice as an option, too. The sourdough pancake is the star of the show, even though I haven't actually ordered it for myself yet. I'm not a sweets person, and the pancake is savory and just a little sweet in the perfect way. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, thick and able to hold up to syrup without getting soggy. This review is combined from my first visit in September 2024 and my most recent in early April 2026. My wife got the pancake both times. I got the croque madame the first time, and the breakfast sandwich (sausage, egg and cheddar on an English muffin) the second time. The croque madame was phenomenal. The breakfast sandwich was good, but not my favorite. I'm not a huge fan of cheddar--especially sharp cheddar--on a breakfast sandwich, and the tomato aioli, caramelized onions, and the actual sausage patty, were a little too sweet for my liking. I could see others liking it, though, so definitely worth a try. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the menu a bit more. My cousin swears by the avocado toast, so that might be next!
