Dripolator is always my first stop whenever I visit Asheville in the morning. The coffee here is consistently outstanding, and it is one of those places that just feels comforting the moment you walk in. They offer great pastries and smoothies, and the service is always friendly. Last October, I tried a couple of their seasonal lattes, and they hit the spot. My favorite coffee I found on my trip visiting. I actually ended up ordering two of the caramel/vanilla lattes. I can't remember the actual name and I don't see it on the menu. The coffee here are what dreams are made of. When traveling, I always look for local shops like this and boy did they deliver. Both of the coffees were spectacular, I want to go back everyday until I have to travel back home. It is such a nice spot too, very comfortable and just a great ambience. Staff is also pleasant. Absolutely the best coffee I've had in Asheville. The flavor of the coffee is rich and smooth and leaves you craving more. The Mocha is perfectly balanced and luscious. In the warmer months, the space really opens up with a garage style door , giving it an airy, relaxed feel. There's ample seating , especially ideal for smaller groups of two to four. Parking is abundant , which makes stopping by easy and low stress. The staff is friendly and helpful , always ready with solid recommendations if you're unsure what to try. It's also Apple Pay friendly , which is a nice convenience. During busy times, finding a clean table can take a little patience , so good space sharing habits definitely help. The service was actually self-serve, which I appreciated, and regarding ambiance, the entire environment was designed to be relaxing. I chose the GF pumpkin choc chip muffin and a Dolci di Maria strawberry oat bar, and both were delicious. read more

I visited Asheville and stepped into this coffee shop that left me wanting to come back again. From the service to the food, Dripolator did not disappoint. The cheddar sausage sandwich was so yummy and my pumpkin spice latte too. The ambiance is perfect for you to do hw or work. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to NC. read more

Must say, the coffee here is great. We've tried multiple lattes, including their specials. The one for october was the Ronald Weasley. A wonderful concoction of mocha, ginger and orange infused in your latte. My favorite is the killer bee though which is a honey and cinnamon infused latte. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because they only offer oat and regular milk. The bagel sandwiches are delicious. Have also tried the chocolate croissant which was huge and yummy. Ambiance is great. Very comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Service is great as well. Update: still 4 stars due to the bagel sandwiches but have gone in a couple of times this week and noticed a drop in quality of the lattes. What a cool location. The decor & drinks are great. The entrance area is a cramped and there isn't a ton of seating, even on a Tuesday morning there were no seats to be found, we stopped in twice on our stay to get the Ronald Weasley - chocolate, ginger, and orange - it was really good! One day they had gluten free, vegan pumpkin chocolate chip muffins but I missed out sadly. They looked really good. Service was good, but they need a bigger space. read more

What an awesome coffee spot in Asheville! The menu had delicious specialties (which I chose from), plenty of coffee and pastries to choose from, and indoor and outdoor seating. We discovered Dripolator in Black Mountain first a few years ago. We are not coffee drinkers but almost daily visitors to Starbucks for teas and hot chocolate. We were delighted to find a Dripolator that opened near us in south Asheville. The drinking chocolate was awesome. When that was discontinued, I found the hot chocolate to be quite good and still had that rich Ghirardelli flavor. It was especially nice when the storm in AVL caused a long shutdown of Starbucks. Then, the last 3 times I ordered the hot chocolate I found it terribly weak. Warm milk and a hint of chocolate. So I said something to your staff, last time I said the quality seemed to fluctuate a lot depending on who makes it. Today I just said at the outset, please make it with extra chocolate. What I got was once again lukewarm milk with a hint of chocolate. My husband just dumped his, I probably will too. It went from being better than Starbucks hot chocolate to being just bad. I don't know if you have a standard measure, and new staff doesn't know it, or if you've just weakened that amount of chocolate. Either way, for us, not worth drinking and will result in us not coming again. read more
