Small local coffee shop in west Asheville. Brightly colored to grab your attention yet relaxing. The smell when you walk in is amazing and the staff were very cheerful. The parking isn't huge outside but inside it's quite spacious. Great spot to work and meet up with friends. The toast their own coffee and the logo is eye catching. We got the iced salted maple latte. And the best part is it's .01 miles from the best donuts I've ever had at Hole. read more

We went to Hole because our kiddo wanted donuts (who doesn't) and when I asked for local coffee recs they suggested Cooperative. And I'm so glad they did because it was wonderful all the way around. Super cute, great central location in W. Asheville. Staff were kind and patient (we all know how some coffee shop employees can act holier than thou). It was so cute and if we lived nearby I'd 100% be a regular. I got the iced salted maple latte because even if it's 35° I'm just that girl. read more

I went on a Sunday morning and there were plenty of seats/tables available. I got an iced latte in a beautiful glass and the drink itself was pretty smooth. It was a beautiful day, so they kept their windows out and I found a pocket of sunlight in the corner to sunbathe in. Would recommend if you are looking for a standup coffee shop in this area of Asheville. read more

Instant favorite. Can't believe I've driven past this place countless times and never stopped in. Yummy coffee, immaculate vibes, and the barista (they had super cute orange hair!) was SO sweet and very patient with my confused, obviously-not-a-morning-person energy. Definitely gonna be coming back next time I'm up before 2pm. read more

What a gem. Cooperative Coffee Roasters in Asheville completely won me over. I stopped in and was lucky enough to have Adriana take my order, she was just so lovely, sweet, and kind. The kind of person who makes your day a little brighter. The coffee was absolutely delicious and the pastries are a must try. You can tell they put real care into everything they serve. Really disappointed after seeing great reviews. It was busy so we expected to wait but it took like 40 mins to get our coffee. I ordered a black cold brew and was disappointed in what I got so I went back and got an iced coffee black snd it looks like this and tastes like there is milk in it...it's nasty. read more

Great coffee shop in Asheville! They have a large seating area inside and outside and also sell their own beans. We went at 9am on a Sunday and there was maybe 4-5 other tables there! Got their spring special lavender latte and a regular vanilla latte which both were tasty and very hot! read more

The coffee is *superb.* This may be the best roaster between Richmond and... far to the south and west. Buy beans here, especially African single-origin coffees. The walls off the work of local artists of better-than-coffeehouse quality. The staff is a delight. The bathrooms are always clean and well kept. The outdoors area is beyond pleasant. However, the coffeehouse experience would benefit from significantly more attention. Visitors are allowed to talk on the phone/videoconference, and they do, a lot. That makes for an intrusive and unpleasant environment. Almost all the surfaces are hard, which makes this and other sound really, really loud and almost always cacophonous. The food, particularly the pastries, is often stale. read more

Pastries were limited when we arrived, which was fairly early on Black Friday. Had a moderately burnt biscuit sandwich which we could eat some of but couldn't finish. Coffee not impressive and I wouldn't get coffee there again. My husband couldn't finish his. The sitting area was nice as were the people. We would not recommend this place. read more

A speakeasy like roastery in the basement of Urban Cidery. Roasted daily, they supply lots of local coffee shops. Stop by and grab a bag of fresh roasted coffee. They even bagged a new bag just for us because we're traveling and wanted it as fresh as possible. Super nice team of people making the world better with coffee. read more

Great coffee in west Asheville. They are a sustainable coffee company that roasts their own. You get a discount if you bring your own cup which I appreciate. Their back patio is nicely shaded with picnic benches and hammocks. Highly recommend, great addition to the neighborhood. read more

We ended up parking on the street up the hill near some residential homes, but don't let that deter you. One of the coolest parts was being able to watch the doughnuts being made right in front of us. There was a line when we arrived, and we waited about 15 minutes to order and another 10 minutes or so for our doughnuts. Even with the wait, I'd do it all over again. The doughnuts were incredibly fresh, warm, light, and fluffy. Every flavor we tried was delicious, but the vanilla glazed and the toasted almond sesame cinnamon were my favorite. If you're in Asheville, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

The downside is the parking, there is a decent amount of street parking, especially compared to Haywood Road more west of here. I've never had a problem getting a spot during morning/early afternoon on any day of the week. If you're on the opposite side and trying to walk across the street, cars don't stop for you at the crosswalk in my experience

I did feel like it was missing a deeper cardamom note that could have rounded out the spice profile a bit more. That said, at around $4 it's hard to complain.
