Really loved vibe and chai latte I got. So many people and fresh pastries. I had blackberry cobbler cake and it was so good.

I stopped by here to finish filling myself up, which was a wise decision. Service and ambiance was relatively quick. I got a GF banana blueberry muffin and a GF lemon bar. The muffin had a good banana-blueberry balance, and the flavors of the lemon bar were also balanced due to the addition of powdered sugar. Overall, a great relaxation spot. A lot to like about Odd's Cafe! We came in on a Friday morning and ordered at the counter right away. The inside has a good amount of seating, and we saw folks working; it's really chill, and the service is friendly. Drinks were prepared speedily and were so delish. I enjoyed my hot brambleberry chai latte (a special), which had light notes of berry. The iced Thai coffee was also tasty and not overly sweet. To eat, I got a strawberry coffee cake slice, which was crumbly, fruity, and perfect - I want the recipe! I unfortunately have to leave off a star for the bagel. We got a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, and although the cream cheese was nice, the bagel was absolutely rock hard. We tried our best to eat it, but it started to hurt, and we just couldn't get through it. Come here for a cool place to hang out/work with drinks and pastries, but avoid the bagels. read more

Great baked goods and great coffee but it's the soft music and cool breeze from the open converted garage door window that makes this place a great stop. While you shouldn't be in a hurry because the vibe is all about slow down and enjoy the moment, the service is quick and friendly. We enjoyed on this most recent visit a slice of quiche and gluten free frittata and a blueberry scone (with big fresh blueberries) as well as a piece of strawberry oat bar. Felt like I slipped back into the 60s for a cup of coffee. Obviously a local favorite for a great cup of coffee and a pumpkin muffin.

I like that you can bring your dog and use their wifi. Open air in summer is nice. However the bathrooms are really disgusting!

Solid spot for a Coffee and work session, but there are other more amazing coffee shops in the area. Asheville definitely has some five-star coffee establishments. I will say that this is a nice neighborhood place and I wouldn't skip it but I also wouldnt go out of my way for it. I totally agree that unless you're going at an off hour during the week day it's difficult to find parking. Love the ambience and the tall ceilings and wood tables. Lots of space to sit and work but it's all very open. So it's definitely not gonna be quiet. They d have a little bit of outdoor seating as well. Bathrooms are in the back and shared. The smoothie was huge, but felt like maybe they added water? I hope so because otherwise it would've been half my daily calories. I would've taken it smaller and stronger taste. But I did like the flavor in general. Iced coffee was OK. They had a lot of food to choose from and I appreciate that it was plentiful and diverse especially for a coffee shop. read more

This is a great coffee/pastry/quiche shop located in a cool walkable neighborhood. We were visiting Asheville and a friend who, lives in town, suggested we meet here for a coffee. When we first arrived around 10:00 am, it was great. No lines and plenty of seats. There is even outside seating in the back. By 11:00, it was crazy packed. It was hard to maneuver in and out, and the line was out the door. suggestion is go early. The name implies that this is a lunch place, but we only saw pastries, cookies and quiches. Ordered a cappuccino here with oat milk, and it tasted fine. The smooth foam blended in with the drink, so that I could enjoy the texture of both as I drank it. The espresso at the base had a slight tartness instead of the nuttiness that I usually prefer with my espresso, but it was not too bad. back in Asheville again and, while I love the space,other customers freindly vibes, dogs etc, the staff needs an attitude adjustment. Aloofness is not becoming. Nor is calling out orders in a mumbled, apathetic way that can barely be hard. Also, still charging absorbent amount for drip refills(check your competition). With another local shop opening a 2nd location right across the street, I think Odd's may be in trouble. Love the vibes! I visited here a few times during my trip to Asheville. The iced mocha latte and salted maple latte are delicious. They have plenty of seating inside. I usually come here almost once a week and have great experiences but today was a very different experience. I got the coconut cloud w/ cold brew which the menu described as an iced matcha with coconut syrup and vanilla cold foam so I asked if I could get it with cold brew instead of matcha. The cashier said yes (w/ no warning there might be something very weird in it coming as a surprise) and I proceeded to pay $8 for the coffee. There was a little bit of a wait which is 100% expected and not a problem for me at all as there is plenty of seating. Once the coffee was received I walked out the door with it and tasted something very odd in it which turned out to be soda water. I turned back and went to ask the barista if they had accidentally put soda water in my cold brew and he said that's how the coconut cloud was made and I acted surprised. He said sorry and just went back to what he was doing with no worry or offer to remake it at all. I proceeded to say that I would be buying another coffee (since it was obvious they weren't going to make me one without soda water in it) and no one ever came to the register to take my order. So I ended up leaving and ended up wasting $8 on a cold brew that had soda water in it (with no warning at all) and which ended up in the trash. I'm super disappointed in the customer service and hope that not all customers are treated this way as most of us are locals and regulars to their shop. With an $8 local coffee you would expect better customer service. read more

Came here with my partner and we were here for a few hours three days in a row. My highest recommendation is their hazelberry latte They also work with local small businesses and have jewelry, etc sometimes for sale up front. First impressions were great, reviews prior painted a warm picture of this place. In fact the main reason I came in was due to the great reviews . 1. Cashier girl was insanely rude. I don't mind people having a conversation ahead of me. By all means. But I ended up watching a YouTube video or two and when it was my turn she didn't even apologize for the wait. She didn't even say anything besides hi (after I waited to say it, and ended up saying it first). Was rude to take my order, kept just saying "ok" not offering to pair anything with anything else. Not asking about any type of milk or specific drinks. 2. Got a bagel and it was unbelievably rock hard. My gf tried to pry the bagel from my mouth as I bit into it, needless to say I honestly almost lost a tooth. She almost chipped her tooth on her first bite. 3. I got myself a pineapple smoothie. It tasted good but it wasn't very smoothie in it's texture. It was super runny. But at least it tasted good, so I just let it go. 4. Once all my food/drink was ready nobody called out my items. The cashier didn't even ask for my name. But she definitely called out other people's names prior. Not cool to have me standing around like a fool. 5. The saving grace was the girl who was behind the counter making other drinks. She called out the drinks out super loud. She was even kind enough to apologize for me having to wait so long. I'm sure the food is usually better. The drinks were good despite the shitty cashier. I'd go anywhere else unless you're inclined to check this off your list of places. read more

Would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for a shady character spitting on the sidewalk in front of me and sequentially my husband ( as we were entering single file ) on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Husband and I stopped in for some coffee and a treat on a late Sunday afternoon. The establishment wasn't overly crowded and the couch we sat at was very comfortable; atmosphere was quiet, relaxing and overall welcoming. The girl who helped us was polite, but we had to repeat ourselves a couple times and were confused during ordering; it jumped all over the place. I had a tiny caramel latte with a raspberry brownie and husband had a triple espresso with a caramel cookie. The coffee was perfect; zero complaints. I had a bite of my husband's cookie and it was chewy, sweet and overall delicious. The brownie, on the other hand, I didn't find as appealing. I was hoping for a sweet chewy, delicate brownie; but instead got a dry, crumbly, bitter slice of what tasted more like a dry piece of cake than a brownie. Half the brownie wound up in the garbage, but now I know not to order the brownie in the future. I would definitely recommend this establishment; especially for a lazy afternoon with time to kill. read more

Okay first and foremost, I read brilliant reviews on Yelp for this cafe and I believe them to be true for the people who have written them. Next, I am not as psyched about the interiors of this cafe as much as I thought I would be. There's one corner tho, with some books to read which I loved (but was not even clean-dusting needs to be done) The one thing that was bang-on was the mango smoothie! Absolutely loved it It was delicious! The quiche wasn't bad either, and I got an almond cake too, which was okay-ish. Sitting in a coffee shop is a pure luxury! My friend and I needed a little late afternoon caffeine boost to help with the rest of our trip for the day. We seriously loved Odd's Cafe. The barista was very friendly and answered our questions. They have a huge menu! I got the Cinna-hon latte & my friend got the Dreamer Matcha. I would give my drink 3/5 stars & my friend gave hers 5/5. I would definitely love to comeback to try more of their drinks & also enjoy their huge coffee shop. Met a friend while passing through town, and I must say the lack of cleanliness was very off putting. I understand Asheville isn't the cleanest city in the region, but still, even when they were busy, little to no effort was made to maintain clean counters, empty tables, etc. I ordered coffee and an everything bagel and honestly the coffee I got was about on par with what I would get out of the coffee maker at work. My bagel was more or less burnt, although the cream cheese saved it. The staff seemed more focused on talking and joking with one another than they were with doing their jobs, and it's safe to say not only will I never come back, but will actively tell people I know to avoid this place. 0/10 do not recommend. read more

My feelings towards Odd's cafe are kinda confusing. As for the space, the art, and the vibe, Odd's is my favorite coffee shop in town without question. I love the tall ceilings, the big open windows with great air flow, the tables, the giant dinosaur painting and the treats. Unfortunately as far as coffee drinks go, they are probably my least favorite in town. Their chai is greatly lacking in flavor, and anytime I've ordered a latte or any other drink I am disappointed. I suggest sticking to a good old coffee or tea. I got a "compliment" from another reviewer saying I shouldn't give such a low rating because of inadequate parking. Um, yeah... I can. Items that were not very memorable coupled with a stressful parking experience = a 3 star rating. Pretty sure Odd's will do well with the walking or city transport crowd (or maybe someone who has 30 minutes to circle and find a spot without a screaming child in the back), but for the mom looking to take their kids out, my previous review is for you.
