I went with the pastelito with guava and cream cheese, and it was very good. The pastry was flaky, and the guava and cream cheese filling was a great combination. There are only four small tables inside, but I was able to grab one and enjoy the coffee and pastry without feeling rushed. The only downside was the parking, which was a bit of a hassle. Other than that, this was a very nice stop.

The gentleman tried to make sure I was expecting two shots of espresso and foam, and like a truly uncultured swine, I was like, "Yeah, sure!" When I got it, it wasn't anything like the large coffee-chain muck I've come to expect. They were SO kind and understanding, and quickly (well, with great care), made me a dulce de leche cappuccino instead, which was delish! If you're looking for basic coffee, this may not be your cuppa. But if you want REAL coffee made with care and precision, this is the place to be.

This joint has now become one of my study session go-to spots! My current favorite coffee in town is the fall menu Sweet Potato Marshmallow Latte! Kolache selections vary depending on the time of day, as they're made fresh in small batches. My favorites are the jalapeño egg and the sausage gravy flavors. Inside seating is adequate, and there are some tables with access to outlets. Staff has always been friendly. Music selection is usually really good! The downside is the parking, there is a decent amount of street parking, especially compared to Haywood Road more west of here. I've never had a problem getting a spot during morning/early afternoon on any day of the week. If you're on the opposite side and trying to walk across the street, cars don't stop for you at the crosswalk in my experience
