So of course, since I'm in the area on vacation, I'm going there are much as possible! The place is quiet and unassuming- looks like a warehouse... Until you step inside and that smell of deliciousness hits you right in the face, soooo good!! In the past week, I have tried all of the specialty drinks on the menu- the Hot Tamale was especially surprisingly delightful- not too much spice, just a nice warmth. The Cold Mountain was also amazing, to me, it was the perfect iced coffee. The special this week was the Iced Coconut- it actually really tasted like coconut!My husband tried the drip and pour over- he's a black coffee drinker and loved them both- he loved that you can select different beans to try. I also purchased a 5 pound bag of my favorite bean- the Parkway Pick Me Up. Also love the Squirrely Blend. We also got the smaller 12oz bags to try a few different flavors when we get home. I completely understand indoor health codes, but if you advertise your business online as pet-friendly, you need to provide a way for new customers to actually see a menu or order from the patio.I would have happily stepped right back outside if the employee had offered a solution. Instead, they were completely unhelpful and just turned a paying customer away. If you have a dog, don't waste your time coming here, the "Pets Welcome" tag is completely misleading.

I used to frequent this location a lot, and just recently re-visited after a long break. They have a great selection of pastries daily, and a yummy specialty drink menu that changes with the season. I quite like the coffee here, and it is definitely in my top 5 of AVL! There is a decent amount of seating, including bar type seating right by the baristas. Great place to study or get some work done. Baristas are always friendly to me! There is a small parking lot attached to the business, but I've never been unable to snag a spot. The only negative is that the bagels are DIY at a toaster... I don't come to a coffee shop to make my own bagel!!! After being handed a untoasted bagel with a container of butter and a plastic knife, I had to babysit my bagel at the toaster because I wasn't sure how long and at what setting to toast it at, since it isn't my toaster that I am used to. I'll stick to ordering pastries instead of bagels.
