Best mocha I have ever had, and I'm a connoisseur. Dark chocolate, not overly sweet, delicious. My mom got the chai and exclaimed "this is delicious!" after her first sip. And it was! We were very impressed by the coffee and food here. I got a veggie, egg, and cheese burrito and it was excellent. My wife's burrito with bacon was good too. The coffee was exceptional. My wife's cortado was complete with latte art. I ordered a pour over and got to choose from a menu of light roast options. The barista was friendly, and recommended a coffee that had some of the fruitiest smells and flavors I've had in a cup of coffee. Delicious. We will be back! read more

We stopped by on a Thursday morning to see if they had any matcha for the continuation of our road-trip, they did :) I ended up getting a light ice, vanilla bean, oatmilk, matcha latte. The matcha tasted SO good. I should've asked them which brand they used because I don't want it, I need it again. & my partner got a hot vanilla bean cappuccino, which was also very very LOVED & tasted soft & settle but still flavorful. They had a couple of breakfast food options that looked appetizing, but I didn't see anything gluten free so I passed this time. The employees were kind, & the space was clean, cozy, and comfortable. I loved the way it was decorated (especially the string lighting) & the little book nook was my absolute favorite. Their bathrooms smell nice, are clean, & have nice hand soap, lol. a win win win. They also had a great variety in terms of their merch, we ended buying a shirt (that is now a top favorite) & some cute stickers, which were all priced very fairly, bc the quality is amazing. This is an easy curbside stop. They take orders by phone and you just pull up. Or, you can park and they have a counter outside the front door. Menu is posted on the side window. I got a four shot latte in 16 ounce cup. The espresso they use is smooth, not acidic, and a bit malty. It was not bitter to me. I like bitter but I respect other beans and roasters. The wrap was mushy and doughy. I think it was the gooey American cheese. I will try something different next time. Yes, I will stop again. I want to see what their cinnamon role is like! read more

First of all, I'm horribly disappointed that Yelp decided that Papertown's page was a good place to stick a Starbucks ad. Simply put, there's no comparison between the two and if you're still getting your coffee fix in Canton at the Ingles Starbucks while this place is open, then you're doing it wrong. First, the atmosphere. If you're unfamiliar with the history of the building, it has been host to several other types of businesses throughout the years - from the local Canton newspaper (The Enterprise) to more recently a barbershop. While I never saw the newspaper's office, I can say with certainty that the barbershop did not capture the charm and history of this space like Papertown Coffee does. From the refinished original wood floors to the reclaimed ceiling tiles that were used on the mod bar, they really did a lot to preserve the history, but also make a very functional coffee shop out of such a small space. Add into that the locally made furniture (literally, two doors down) and you have a great space to chill out and grab a cup of coffee or five. But, while the space is important, you're here for the coffee - and you will not be disappointed. The syrups that they use all appear to be homemade (I say "appear" only because my basic ass has found my two favorites and I'm an extreme creature of habit, so I haven't tried all of them) and their hazelnut is one of the best that I have had, hands down. Pro-tip - get the lavender and honey syrup with a touch of cinnamon, it's fantastic (and now you know my two favorites). For those that just prefer coffee, they also stock drip (rotating in different roasters and styles) in decaf and regular as well as cold brew and nitro brew. If I'm going with standard coffee, I usually opt for one of their pour overs. Coffee isn't everything here - they also stock some excellent locally sourced pastries and other baked goods as well as ice cream from The Hop. Notice the theme? Local, local, local. Simply put, this is one of the best things to happen to our small town in a long time. It is great to see a business that exudes care for quality and sustainability in our town, to see owners truly invested in their craft and the community, and finally, to know that something like this is possible in Canton. This coffee shop represents a lot more than just a great place to get coffee, it is a bellwether moment for Canton - a chance to show that high quality and a focus on locally-sourced items can succeed in this town. read more

We stopped in Papertown Coffee on a camping road trip through North Carolina, and I cannot recommend it more. I had a chicken salad sandwich and an earl grey tea (at the recommendation of the amazing staff). I brought my laptop in so that I could check emails, etc and was happy to find they had free very fast wifi, plenty of outlets, and a cute little nook to sit in. The prices are amazing, the sandwich was shockingly big, super fresh, the tea presentation was beautiful. I actually also bought a box of their lavender limoncello tea as well and it is now my favorite tea in rotation. Can't wait to go back! read more

Having just moved to the area we searched for our new coffee home, one that is a quick stop on a Sunday morning - given that Papertown is basically the only coffee shop within miles, it's a wonderful thing that its QUALITY. My go to is always iced honey lavender with oat milk... when I find a place that carries it, it gives me joy. It was so good - on par with the original spot I found my HLwOM, Liberty coffee house off Merrimon - but that is 30 minutes away. They have seasonal flavors and hubs got the blueberry ginger and was very impressed (which is difficult at times). Happy that Canton got an awesome coffee shop on par with some Asheville spots. Now if only Covid would let me actually sit and visit inside the shop and enjoy my iced latte. read more

I can't say enough great things about this establishment & its owners. First of all, the coffee is standout: the owners trained in Seattle, & know their stuff. You could just enjoy the coffee & move on, or you can take a coffee "mini-course" every time you go. Liz and Russ renovated the store themselves. And they make each cup of java themselves. They carefully choose the particular bean and there are many brew options. My personal favorite is their Nitro brew, which reminds me of fresh Guinness I had in pubs in Ireland. Next, and just as important to me... Papertown is a throwback to when businesses cared about their product, their community, & their customers. Each time I go, I leave feeling reassured that the world is not such a bad place. read more

Wanted an amazing cuppa coffee (After we left our hotel in Asheville NC)....so we pulled into Canton NC....It's within the Quaint town.....Full of character.
