Service was great. Out waitress, Tiffany, was friendly and attentive. Everything we ate was packed with flavor: beef dumplings, grilled fish and Malaysian fried rice.

This is our second time coming here. They have a nice little patio with nice music playing in the background. The service is good and they are attentive. She checked in often. We ordered the chicken wonton soup, Shanghai chicken dumplings, beef siu mai dumplings, and the Thai basil beef. Two of us shared everything and it was more than enough. The wonton soup is really good. The broth is really flavorful and so are the wontons. I also love the mushrooms in it. We also loved the chicken Shanghai dumplings. Very flavorful and they have a nice spice to them. The Thai basil beef was also good. There is a lot of beef, but also a good amount and mix of vegetables which I love. It has zucchini, onions, carrots, and cauliflower. The beef siu mai dumplings were ok, but they weren't as flavorful as the other things we ordered. Overall, I recommend checking it out. We will definitely be back to try mote dishes.

Visited for the first time during our trip to Asheville and it was a bit disappointing. The staff were very nice and friendly, however, the service was so slow and it took an hour to get the drunken udon noodles. We got an appetizer and that took around 30 minutes to receive. We ordered coffee and that took about 10 minutes to get as well. The restaurant is nice and has indoor, patio and bar seating but the inside is a bit crowded.

Excellent Chinese dinner at this new restaurant. We started with the veggie spring rolls and hot & sour soup, both were very good. Entrées included phad thai and a curry pineapple fried rice dish, which were also good. Thes ervice was excellent. Highly recommend.

I wanted to wait a few weeks to visit the newly opened Jazmin to avoid any new restaurant issues. Everything was awesome! We ordered a variety of small plates and shared between four of us. Everything was so flavorful & delicious. Service was prompt and the food came out really fast. Don't skip dessert! I would also recommend The Singapore Sling cocktail. The interior dining room is small, but has a lot of tables packed in. It was a little loud, but not too bad.

Wonderful birthday dinner. Our Server/Wait staff was exceptional! The food was good. my shrimp appetizer was exceptional my wife had the chix dumplings. They were both tasty. My wife's entrè on the other hand was over cooked, the sauce almost made up for it, we got a free birthday dessert so we got two out of appreciation. I will go back Asian Fusion is a wide lane!

Jazmin is a new pan-Asian restaurant at the site of the former Mayfel's across from Pritchard Park in the heart of downtown Asheville. The site has been remodeled into a cozy space that evokes a restaurant in Thailand or Indonesia without looking like a theme park. Both indoor and (heated) front patio seating. Inside it's noisy, but in a good way that allows you to have lively conversation with a group and not feel like you're making too much noise. The service is top-notch. Considering this is still the soft opening period, the wait staff worked together seamlessly and coordinated very well with the kitchen staff so that the timing of cocktails, appetizers and entrees was perfect. Even though the place was packed on a Saturday nigh and there was a wait, we did not feel rushed at all. We started with cocktails and appetizers. The standout cocktail was the passionfruit citrus spritzer. The Singapore Sling was also good. The Westbrook White Thai beer paired especially well with the food. For appetizers we had: (special) mushroom dumplings (savory delight in every bite!), pork potstickers (good, with good dipping sauces) and the star -- crispy honey, chili potatoes (perfect combination of sweet and spicy, basically Thai french fries). For entrees we had: chicken phad Thai (very good), Thai basil beef (the beef was wonderful, amplified by the peppery Thai basil that contrasted well with a sweet chili paste), chicken krapow (the chilis in this dish gave it a great flavor profile, but only eat them directly if you like a lot of heat. Note: one member of our group found this dish a bit too salty, although I didn't notice that at all), and shrimp mee sapam with Phuket "hawker style" noodles (the shrimp was fantastic, tender and not chewy at all, the sauce was nice and the noodles themselves were probably the second best Asian style noodles I've ever had). Overall this place is a great addition to Asheville's Asian food scene. It's a little pricier than other Asian restaurants in town, but the food quality, presentation and service are all a cut above, so the higher price point is worth it. We'll be back to try more offerings from this large and varied pan-Asian menu.

An early closure at another restaurant created the opportunity to try Jazmin. We began with the Whiskey Sour cocktails and fantastic Beef Siu Mai and the Jade Shrimp Dumplings. We selected the Tozai Well of Wisdom Gingo Sake to go with our Chicken Krapow and Chicken with Black Bean sauce. Cozy new location that was able to accommodate our walk-in and Emily made sure everything was taken care of.

Food is definitely overrated. Flavor was mediocre and obviously catering to the palates of non-Asians. The service was very good.

The Times is easily my favorite bar in Asheville -- truly a five-star, can't-miss spot. On my first…read moretrip back in July, I found myself coming here every night for a drink, and on this work trip I did the exact same thing. That alone should tell you everything you need to know. Their espresso martini is probably the best I've ever had -- perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Every bartender here is incredibly knowledgeable. They can make anything you ask for and then walk you through the history and origins of the cocktail like you're getting a mini masterclass with your drink. The bar itself is beautiful, with an impressive selection of spirits and a menu full of creative cocktails featuring ingredient combinations you'd never expect to work together -- but somehow they absolutely do. It's also one of the best places in the city to sit back and people-watch while enjoying a perfectly made drink. Do not skip The Times -- honestly, it's worth going out of your way to stop there.

Service was good, it wasn't very busy so pretty easy to walk up and order. I would have loved to try an espresso martini from here but I didnt want to risk not being able to fall asleep (Im getting old). They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor is pretty casual with small tables. Indoor decor is fun, halloween-y, and dark. They have a huge selection of liquor, so everyone will be able to find something they like. Sounds like they change their menu frequently so there is always something new to try.

Hearty, delicious and satisfying food in a low-lit, noisy environment…read more This was our first visit to Bull and Beggar. The restaurant's decor is eccentric - lots of taxidermied wildlife, cookbooks, and (from our vantage point in the loft) giant jars of Duke's mayonnaise - and the food is worth going back for. I had the steak frites, my husband tried the pork chop Milanese, and we shared the marmalade tart. My filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the accompanying sauce was silky smooth and addictive. The fries were salty, crispy perfection. My husband gave his pork chop high marks as well. I tried a bit of the sweet pea salad served with it, and I was suddenly 4 years old, following my mom through the garden and eating more peas than I dropped into my little basket. Fresh, pure summer. The marmalade tart was a great way to end the meal. Perfect balance of bitter and sweet. One caveat: This may not be the place if you're looking for an evening of quiet conversation. The room's acoustics bounced every sound off of every wall, and the resulting cacophony made it hard to hear each other or our very kind and efficient server at times.
