Advertised price for a spray tan on the website: $30. Price they charge for spray tan: $55. Employee told me they don't go by the website prices. Very deceptive, complete lack of transparency and false advertising. Customers should be able to rely on prices published. Disappointing and scammy. read more

I absolutely LOVED this Salon!!! The girls here knew me when I walked in the door, knew what beds I like, etc. They NEVER tried to "Oversell" for commission, it was about what they use and know what works. 2 days ago, the Woman who trained all these lovely ladies moved to a different location. It is already obvious!! Smudged mirrors, lines waiting to check in, and a new manager saying to me; "I saw more people in 2 hours then I saw all day at my old building, but I will get used to it". THIEVES!!!! They have over 80+ complaints with BBB!! Let me start off by saying I've had a membership at Palm Beach for years on and off. The beds they have are amazing and give a great tan faster than anywhere else I've been to, but because of that, they charge A LOT of money for the membership!! I'll tan for a couple months then I cancel my membership.. I have done this on and off for approximately 10 years however, this time they did not cancel my membership and are refusing to pay me 12 months worth of backpay!! I always love my tanning sessions at Palm Beach Tan. It's like a mini spa treatment. I look at slathering myself with tanning lotion as a treat to myself and always use a naturally scented one. I get to relax, soak in the UV rays and listen to calming music as I unwind and "unplug" from the day and it's stresses. The salon is always clean and fully stocked, I've rarely felt rushed or had to wait on a tanning bed or spray tan booth. Highly recommended this location. read more

Wife joined in March 2013. They charged our credit card $7.88 a month. It was fine when we lived in Baltimore area, however, we moved to the Eastern Shore of Delaware. When I realized that we were still being billed for this service that we couldn't use anymore, we called there office. They told us that we would have to come in to cancel it. We explained that we live 320 miles round trip from them. They said they would send us a form by fax, we gave them the number, it never came. Another call to them and they said they would have the owner call us. She never did, so we disputed the charge with our credit card company. The CC company took the charge off and sent us a check for $7.88. We then received a letter from CC company showing the agreement my wife signed authorizing the monthly charge. I never disputed the fact that my wife authorized the charge, I was disputing the fact that we cannot use the service anymore because of where we live, and they would NOT stop charging us. We are NOT driving 320 miles RT to cancel a $7.88 charge. That would be crazy, but what's even crazier, is that they would not stop charging us, even though they knew that we were not living near Baltimore anymore. My advise for anyone is to run from this business and not walk, and NEVER sign their monthly agreement, you'll basically never get out of it, especially if you move out of the area. I got the mystic tan medium color. I wanted a dark tan but the girl told me it would be too dark for me. So I opted for the medium. It's way too light. I barely see a tan line after 6 hours. I asked to come in and have it redone as I'm leaving for my New Year's trip tomorrow. But they wouldn't fix it unless I paid for another mystic tan. Really poor customer service and poor quality product. read more

Newly renovated (yay) and looking great! Easy location to get to and easy free parking. It's not as fancy looking as some of the other PBT's I've been to but it's still good! They have tons of beds & stand-ups! They sell lots of products also. I'm so glad their prices have been lowered. I've been a member for almost a year now and I love it! read more

Way overpriced always rushed into payment immediately after trying to ask for specials running and or prices for beds to get some insight on what exactly I am dropping my money on vs a package and each time a diff girl working the desk tells me a lower or higher unremarkable price. 2 visits ago the girl working was phenomenal but the staff who are young and been there awhile seem to not look up and give options they are rushing to clean and get out 45 mins prior to closing and seem confused on what the customer is asking. The place is absolutely brilliantly renovated and peaceful with nice relaxing insane beds but I've been to some more long standing reputable places nearby and think I prefer much better customer service etiquette, attentive customer service with caring and appropriate proper advice and options on what is available, to me it seems like I'm inconveniencing the staff workings time by asking normal proper questions since I'm not yet a member and do not know exactly what or how long I should request to tan therefore taking up more time for them to rush out and clean to close up..other than they are open an hour later than most. I wish there was an option for 0 stars. I have tanned at pbt before, and never had any issues. This last experience was absolutely awful. From day 1, I had issues. They overcharged me then gave me a hard time because I wanted a refund for the extra amount charged to my card. They huffed and puffed over the fact they had to submit a refund request to corporate. Another issue is they are terribly understaffed. The putty hill location is extremely busy - HIRE MORE STAFF so that customers don't have to wait 15 minutes to get checked in. I really could go on and on about issues after issue but that would take all day. Bottom line is I will never recommend anyone to go to pbt - especially the one in putty hill - and I certainly will not be a returning customer. Absolutely awful experience. read more

I knew I made a mistake from day 1! Decided to try Palm Beach because it was closer and had better hours than Today's Image. However, they were way more expensive, but I thought, what the heck. Upon signing up they tell you that you can not tan more than once a day. Which is standard. What they don't tell you is you can't tan within 24 hours, to the minute. Meaning if one day you tan at 1:45 pm, then the next day you can not tan until 1:46 or later. So basically your stuck planning your day around tanning. Say you tan at 1:45 PM and your out shopping at 10AM and you have time to tan, NOPE, you have to wait. After expressing my displeasure and informing that this was not throughly explained upon signing up (otherwise this surly would have been a deal breaker) their reply was, "well if you skip a day, the tan time resets and you can come at anytime again" And my reply was, what then what the heck do I pay over $75/mth for unlimited tanning IF I CAN'T TAN EVERYDAY??? After that, I received a survey, which I completed, and asked to be contacted, but never heard from anyone, not surprised. Then when you sign up for monthly services, they tell you a perk is that you earn rewards such as free upgrades or spray tans. But again, what they don't tell you is that they expire. I had a free spray tan on my account for singing up and was planning to save it for before my vacation. However, to my surprise when I went to use it, it had been expired. I then asked was there anyway it could be added back and again was told a manager would call me. Again, I've never heard anthing, not surprised. We'll today was the last straw. I attempted to tan after waiting around all day for "tan time" to expire only to arrive to be told tan time was actually later, when in fact I knew was incorrect because the time they were claiming I tanned, I was actually already at work. The counter girl called the manager, who didn't answer, again not surprised and of course I wasn't able to tan. It was at that time that I had had enough and decided to cancel membership. But guess what, if you don't cancel by the 25th, your stuck paying for the next month, when it's not even charged until the 1st. WHAT A JOKE. PALM BEACH IS A RIP OFF AND I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE. I will be returning to Today's Image, where the beds are just as nice, you can tan AT ANYTIME, AND FOR LESS!!!!! I plan to write a review everywhere possible and let my 5K + follows on all my social media accounts beware of Palm Beach and their rip off methods. read more

I will never go to any other location! The employees are the most polite and helpful! All of the beds, even at the lowest level, work great! All of the fans work in the beds and all of the radios! Love the facial tanning in the beds. An A+++ compared to the Dundalk location. read more
