I have been looking for an esthetician in the Baltimore for a few months. After extensive research, I decided to visit 10 Skyn. I booked an appointment online for a hydrodermabrasion treatment. Roxie serviced me and she is very knowledgeable and very meticulous. This treatment was a bit intense since I have sensitive skin and I haven't had a facial in a long time. Before we started my services, Roxie analyzed my skin. She noticed a had clogged/ congested pores and acne scarring. She recommended products that will help with my scarring and also additional treatments to improve my skin. The products are a big pricey however, I took her recommendations seriously since she was able to closely analyze my skin. I will be booking future treatments. After a LOT of research for a trustworthy/reasonably-priced place for eyelash extensions, I finally stumbled on 10Skyn on Groupon ($81 for a full set? Yes, please). My first time, Candis did an excellent job with my lash extensions! It took a bit over the recommended time (closer to 2.5 hours instead of 1.5) and my eyes were a bit irritated the next day, but nothing a few drops of Visine couldn't fix. I loved the final product and they lasted close to 3.5 weeks! I was also happy that she answered all of my questions and even gave me 4 lash brushes because I told her I was traveling and she didn't want me to lose them. The second time, I had Roxie do my lashes. I was a bit nervous to have someone different doing them, but my girl SLAYED it! It took less than an hour and a half, my eyes weren't irritated at all, and they look BOMB. I cannot tell you how many compliments I've gotten on my lashes. Also, the studio is extremely clean, both Candis and Roxie play great music while they work, and they are so nice and easy to talk to. One recommendation, save their phone numbers because each time I've come to the studio the door has been locked. Just give a quick call and they'll come let you in! Roxie is great! She texted me 30 mins before my appointment to say she was running behind on appointments. I am a stickler for customer service and it started well before I walked into her business. She was quick, super friendly, and thorough! I went in for full Brazilian and underarm. She uses a combination of hard wax (with tea tree oil) and soft wax (with aloe). She made sure everything was cleaned, no stray hairs. No double dipping, wore gloves, and had everything prepped to go. I've been getting waxed for well over 10 years and wanted to support a small business, instead of a chain establishment. I purchased a Groupon for two bikini waxes in the spring. It was set to expire 10/31. When I called to make my appointment, I was told that they aren't honoring this Groupon anymore and I should call Groupon to get a refund and I shouldn't have any problems. I contacted Groupon and they only offered me Groupon bucks or to speak directly with the vendor. I think this is unprofessional of both 10Skyn and Groupon. As the customer I shouldn't be the one to have to deal with this situation or pay the price. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian wax and I did so based on the reviews associated with the Groupon app. The phone conversations I had with Roxie were pleasant and informative. When I arrived, I was greeted by the staff member performing the wax (Charity). She was nice and patient. She was not at all informative considering I explained it was my first time getting a wax in general. I asked questions and she answer them. However, I felt as if I was bugging her a bit. After asking a few questions I decided that a full blown Brazilian wax wasn't for me(I chickened out...this time) but I did however want a decent bikini wax. After noticing straggler hairs near my inner thigh but still obviously in the bikini area, I asked that she clean it up. Her response was "I normally don't do the thighs", Which is cool but it wasn't my thigh and even if it were I didn't opt to have my butt-crack and snatch waxed, so I'd like to think it was appropriate to wax the hairs that weren't removed successfully in the spots that were. Once I decided I was done, I got up. I noticed wax residue was in various areas along with powder. I asked for something to clean it off with, she helped by applying some oil; Great ! but do customers usually have to ask for this(rhetorical question)? I decided to leave(I tipped) but I left a lil annoyed. After I got home I simply Naired the hairs that the wax didn't get and even noticed that the area that was waxed had hair remaining. End of story, I'm happy I only paid $25 because $50 would have been inappropriate for the quality I received for my Brazillian turned Bikini wax. I'll try again somewhere else to see if my expectations can be reset. read more

ZERO IS MY RATING but it won't allow less than one. The most unprofessional person I have ever come across in the beauty industry! Do not go there. My appointment was at 6pm. You need to prepay a deposit of 18$ in case you are late. She would not answer her phone prior to my booking to even let me in the building. I called 3x. Then I got in with other persons entry. Then she made me stand in the hall and wait 28 minutes after 6:00 while she was laughing with someone behind closed doors. I could hear everything as I waited-standing there- there is no seating-in the hall. Each time I knocked on the door she said "just a second". After the fourth "just a second" I said I am her 6pm booking and no response! None! Never apologized for the delay or even cared about me standing in the hall all that time and then said,"I don't answer my phone when with a client"! She should not be in the beauty service industry and I hope you never have to experience such disrespect. Also the building was dirty and smelled bad. I better get my refund or she will be headed to court! read more
